“Curtis was amazingly helpful and made a stressful situation seem not so bad. He went above and beyond. Due to other accidents that they had no control over (a semi… on fire?!) I had to wait longer than expected. But everyone I talked to was very pleasant. 100% would recommend.”

“I was very surprised to find everything you dream of but rarely get. I had been with another service for 15+ yrs. Recent events made me question their integrity so I got a coupon in the mail from Honest Wrenches and took my car for an oil change. The former place said I need new breaks, struts, and pads. During the oil change and wintering they inspected brakes and other things. Much to my surprise, I didn't need break work at all. In fact they also got details from Car Facts, that same previous business had done my brakes a few years ago. I'm a senior they were trying to take advantage of. Besides being honest, they were also very nice and very efficient. I won't take my car anywhere else from now on.”
“Our Dodge Durango's engine thermostat failed while we were on a summer road trip from Pennsylvania. It was already late afternoon and many mechanics were either closed for the day or had no available bays. Cotofo's was the one exception. They not only answered the phone, but told us we could stop in immediately. The shop was easy to find, just a few turns off the interstate. And there was no wait: They got our Durango in right away, diagnosed the problem, and fixed us up with a new thermostat and an oil change, then got us right back on the road. We didn't wait more than an hour. They also had free cold beverages available in the waiting area which was a plus on a hot summer day. The owner even followed up with us multiple times in the following weeks to make sure we were satisfied—which says a lot considering we're from Pennsylvania and not likely to be repeat customers. If you're in the Des Moines area, whether you live there or are just passing through like we were, don't hesitate to give Cotofo's a call. Thanks guys!”

“I dropped my car off for rear brake repair. They called me that evening explaining exactly what needed to be done and cost. I really appreciated that. The following morning, they called about an additional issue revolving around the brakes and would be a good idea to fix since they've already started the brakes. It would save on labor cost. I was so happy they did this and saved me money. I would recommend their fast, reasonably priced, and professional services. It's hard to find a place that doesn't overcharge”

“I've been to Valley West Corner Store twice now without an appointment, and both times, I got my 2004 honda Accord with over 200k milage diagnosed and repaired the same day in around 2-4 hours. The first time, I paid a decent penny, but that was mostly because I had to purchase a replacement catalytic converter. Actual labor cost is a bit over 100 per hour, but they definitely have the knowledge, technical skill, and efficiency to make the price more than worth it. That time, I paid around a little over $700. My second go around the replacement part I needed for my break system was a lot cheaper, and I only ended up paying a bit over $350. Both times, I was given a quote over what I actually paid, which to me was a nice plus. Another plus is the simple fact that it shares a building with a convenience store that does help out with the wait. The store has a surprising variety for the size of the actual building, and I found a few hidden gems of snacks while wandering the couple shelves. Overall, im extremely satisfied with the care they put into my car and will be coming back whenever my car gives me trouble”

“This was the first time I'd used a U-Haul in a long long time we got good customer service from Julian. He was really on top of his game the only thing that kind of puzzled me I guess was you have to pay so much for mileage but you still have to pay for gas too I guess that's a part of doing business and making money.”
“This morning I blew a tire on my way to work. I tried going through my insurance that wanted to charge me $140 for a 2.5 mile drive. I waited for an hour and a half and my insurance STILL hadn't found someone to come pick up my vehicle. I'm not saying that someone wasn't on the way, they hadn't even found someone to take the tow. I kept calling them and they said they were working on it. Eventually I took it upon myself and started calling around. I called a few other places that didn't answer before I called Iowa First Call Towing. It was $91 AND they got there in less than 20 minutes. I was shocked how quick they were. Would recommend and I am now a loyal customer. I understand it won't always be that quick, but I appreciated their service greatly.”
