Carts are also easily to find as they are linked together and require a quarter to unlock one. Once you return it, you get your quarter back. Its an ingeneous way to keep carts organized and one I wish other stores used.”

I would like to recognize Hayley and point out what a great employee you all have in her. My kids adore her, she's always friendly and helpful if needed.     “I drove down to the Ashland area from Cincinnati & was looking for gas, so naturally, I stopped at Kroger. While inside, I joked to myself that I was visiting from the home office, since Kroger is based in Cincinnati. (They can't all be winners, folks.)Anyway, I wasn't looking for anything in particular, as I was still a couple hours from home, but I grabbed a Dr. Pepper for the drive. I used the self checkout, so I didn't really interact with anyone, but I was in & out pretty quickly.”

    “This is a marathon gas station on the outside but it used to be a grocery store. Inside the marathon though they still have Jack's deli and they serve the BEST chicken salad and bologna salad ever. They also have other salads and slaws that are awesome. They've got fresh hot food as well and fried chicken. Great place to grab lunch or get your deli type salads. I love Jack's!”

    “I do not personally use the pharmacy, so I cannot speak on prescription wait times or that part of the service, but I absolutely love the Kroger store itself. It is one of those places where you can get most of your shopping done in one trip without having to run all over town. They have a really good variety of groceries, drinks, snacks, household basics, personal care products, seasonal items, and plenty of random little things you suddenly remember you need while shopping, lol. I always enjoy looking around because there is plenty to choose from, and it is genuinely one of my favorite stores to stop at. I cannot fairly rate my experience with the pharmacy itself, but the Kroger store and its overall selection are fantastic.”

    “I gave this DG 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the shelves were pretty empty. I'm not sure if this is a store issue or a delivery truck issue. The store was pretty clean. The cashier was nice and friendly and helpful. Be sure to be prepared for no carts when shopping at this particular DG because unfortunately people have stolen all of their carts but a couple. Very sad situation, indeed!!”

    “The place is fine and they have discounted air for 50cents with a pump that actually acts like a good pump at a tire place. Quick and powerful. It has ahuge selection of snacks and a subway connected too. Dairy queen is right next to it in the parking lot so if you want some ice cream on a hot day it is right there to.”

  • Kroger Pouring $112 Million Into Central Ohio, Including Two New Stores

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard. The 118,000-square-foot store is expected to open in late fall 2026 and will create around 250 jobs.

    Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
