I wanted something different so I tried a new place called The Empanada's Box in Covington, and I already want to go back! I had the Buenos Aires empanada (ground beef, red pepper, green onion) and their side salad 🥗. It came with tortilla chips and an amazing salsa, and a little side of chimichuri!! They have vegan and vegetarian options too! 😋

We had the focaccia which I was surprised to learn was gluten and dairy free, something that I usually don't get to enjoy. It was absolutely delicious and you would never know it was gluten-free. We had the summer salad and again was a great combination of flavors in textures. We enjoyed it completely. The second course was a crabcake. We loved that. This particular recipe does have a little spice kick to it which I enjoyed. For the third course I had the walleye which was surprisingly large, portion wise, and cooked perfectly. Flavors again and textures were spot on. Going to go back sooner as we haven't been there for a few years. Thank you so much for a wonderful anniversary experience!

521 Main Street, CovingtonOn my way out of town, I stopped here at the recommendation of several folks in Cincinnati. It was an incredible experience. I wandered in at lunchtime on a Tuesday and had no idea this would be perhaps the best lunch I’ve ever had.
Everything is made from scratch and it tastes like it. The sweet potato fries with the dipping sauce were poetry, the BLGFT sandwich was criminally delicious. The service was warm and helpful, the art on the walls was part of the overall story, the attention to detail was outstanding.
