“The only post office location I'll use. I'll drive out of my way to use this location over the others in my area. The staff is super friendly and professional. All others pale in comparison.”

“This PO has probably some of the nicest works on their team. They actually help and walk you through the steps when you ask for help. I've never shipped Internationally before and the desk clerk named Andrew was super helpful and friendly. Big thumbs up for him ??This will now be my regular post office even with one in 5min driving distance.”

“I had an issue with an address ( my fault) and the package was going to be sent back and Lucius was an absolute charm and found the package! Thank you so much Lucius for going the extra mile!!”

“Although the hours are a little more restricted than a larger post office branch, this little branch is absolutely amazing. My packages get scanned immediately, there is never a line, and the staff is very nice.”

“It was very busy, but the lady working at the desk was very friendly and efficient! It took us awhile to find (it’s in the back of the hardware store), but everything else was a breeze!”

“It's nearing Christmas shipping deadlines, and the post office was packed with customers. So, I was expecting the usual grumpy postal clerk. But these two ladies didn't get the memo. They were cheerful, helpful, patient and kind. They simply gush Christmas spirit. They efficiently moved the line and I was in and out within 15 minutes. It took me a bit to find this little Post Office. The address makes one think it's located in the Greentree Mall. But it's actually in a standalone building on the JC Penney side of the mall. Never thought I'd see the day where I might actually look forward to a trip to the post office. Now that's a Christmas miracle!”

“A lot of spoiled brats complaining about their own problems on here. Its a post office. If you take a few seconds to make sure your items are in order, and have a modicum of intelligence, its a smooth transaction. If you think the service is bad here, try a PO in the city.”

“Most trips to the Post Office fill me with the same joy of visiting the dentist to get a cavity filled. So, finding a little spot that doesn't make me feel that way is worth sharing! I was running errands in Middletown recently and realized that I needed to drop something off at the post office. I pulled out my phone to search for the closest one and saw that it was in nearby Anchorage, and just a few minutes' drive. I set my map to go there and was on my way. As I approached, the hustle and bustle of Shelbyville Rd gave way to the bucolic peace of Anchorage. I followed gently winding roads veiled with leafy trees until I reached the quaint Post Office. Inside it was quiet, and a friendly (!) employee immediately helped me get my item mailed. No waiting required, as I was the only person in the post office that day. We chatted pleasantly while she weighed and printed my postage, and I was quickly in my way. A little gem of a find, this USPS location is sure to put a smile on your face as well!”

“They get 4 stars just for answering the phone, being polite and courteous, and HELPFUL, which is in stark contrast, completely opposite really, of the nearby New Albany branch, which will simply put you on hold for 5 minutes and then hang up, if they answer the phone at all. If I have outgoing mail of particular importance I always drive to this PO to drop it off, to make sure that it doesn't route thru the New Albany PO.”

“The 5 stars are for Helen. Every time I go to this location Helen is working the desk. She is very friendly, apologies for the slow line, and does her best to give you 5 star service. She makes sure everybody is taken care of, and if you have to step out of line to fix something, she will have you stand to the side and once done bring you back over. We need more Helen's in the world. USPS needs a lot more Helen's.”

“I used the St. Matthews PO to submit my passport application. Very simple. I made my appointment on line, showed up 10 minutes prior to appointment and was in the office at designated time. The lady who worked there was very friendly and nice making the whole process pleasant. I was prepared and had all documents, photos, etc. and that is the key for quick processing. You can also get the application forms for first time passport and renewal passports at this PO. Overall, it was easy and quick to submit the information required. You will not get a passport here, this office is for submitting your paperwork and documentation and the PO will submit to the US Dept of State. You can also get the proper photo taken here. Easy, peasy.”

“Local branch post office so for me a great location. I have always had nice friendly service from the staff so am puzzled by the negative staff comments. People are correct about the staffing issues but that should be addressed to the Louisville office and I have but to no avail. I pay for a post office box but the availability of the box is now only during operating hours which defeats one of the reasons for having a box. I have called an complained to the main office but nothing has been done. If you have a box join me in calling and complaining, either discount the service since it is not being delivered as what a box services is for or provide it as it should be.”

“Hardworking post office that struggles to please customers and managment. The mailmen in this establishment are some of the best, but the late hours and unrealistic time constraints wear them out and cause delays. You should always call instead of just showing up. They will make time for you.”

“I went in there for the first time today. There was no line and I was in and out in just a few mins. The worker who took care of me was nice and friendly. It was hard to locate. I had to go in a near by bank and ask a teller there where it is.”

“I really appreciate the job the clerks do. (Carriers, too.) Working for the USPS and with the public is stressful. (That's why it's called, going postal.) Anyway, over the years, I've learned to steer clear of the place on Saturdays or whenever else there'll be long lines. Kind of glad to see negative reviews here. Maybe these people will stay away!PS: An update. The hours here have become VERY spotty. Very unpredictable. If I had to do it over again, I'd rent a box at a more reliable branch.”

“Spoke to an employee this morning with an unique problem. He was able to confirm what I suspected. I now will need to forward my issue to a postal inspector, but I now know I am correct. I was scammed by a fake company providing false tracking information. The clerk confirmed it but I need to take the issue up with a postal inspector.Update: I ordered an item from a fake company website. The site was for a company but the receipt was from an individual so I knew the second I received a confirmation from my processor that it was like fraud. Tried to cancel the payment immediately with both the processor and my bank, but was unable to cancel on the weekend. Tried to claim the shipment as undelivered and the seller provided a valid tracking number for an package delivered to my zip code. This is a advanced scam method, daily thousands of tracking numbers are gathered through web crawling, scrapping, or hacking. Then the fraudster selects an unrelated shipment going to your zip code. I though I was going to have to go through the postal inspector to get proof the package with the tracking number provided did not go to my address. The postal employ above confirmed the tracking number I provided did not go to my address, but could not provide more as I was not the customer for that package. Upon closer review the tracking number provided was for a package shipped some hours before I placed my order and for a first class package not priority mail. First class package are limited to items less than one pound, my item was obviously over a pound. So I was able to get a refund from my processor on the third attempt after they closed my claim twice in favor of the seller.”

“I wish I knew the young man’s name… African American with locs. My daughters and I went for a passport appointment. He was extremely professional, efficient, polite, and knew the policies and procedures. He deserves a positive review.”

“I didn't go in. I'm hoping to use a P. O. Box, if I can afford it. The location is convenient for working in the area. The library is close enough to visit, too.”

“Had a package delivered to the wrong address. They were able to track it down, find it and return it.I do miss our usual mailman, that is on vacation right now, and they're super short staffed. Kudos to them for finding my package! ?”

“I am only rating the Customer Service of the counter employees. This rating has nothing to do with the management, passport services or mail carriers. I come to this post office multiple times per week and have for the past year to mail packages. There are 4 regular employees who I encounter regularly. I am not able to get their names and I am not comfortable asking them so I will say it is 2 women and 2 men - all 4 are African American and all are under 35 in my estimation. I am only describing them in case management reads this they know who to give props to. All 4 of them are extremely courteous to all customers and always accommodating. I have seen customers irate over various issues that are not the fault of the counter person and each and every time the employees have been beyond gracious - I have witnessed this countless times. They are always keeping busy and are quick yet not pushy when handling shipment of packages. All 4 deserve a raise and I know all USPS locations are short staffed which causes frustration with customers and stress with employees. I commend the workers at this location for amazing customer service even when the line is out the door or a customer is irate (neither of which is the fault of the counter person)…”

“Great people working here. They're always friendly and out of over 300 packages they've never lost one. They helped me send a package to Saudi Arabia and it actually went.”

“We have been blessed for years with the same postman, Vallen. He is kind, always in a good mood, and always has something nice to say to me! As a small business owner, I have a LOT of packages and Vallen NEVER complains. One thing to note, though -- I stopped at the local PO recently and arrived at 4:55 to drop off some packages and not only was not a soul in sight, but the drop box was locked. Frustrating to arrive before closing time simply to drop off packages in the drop box to discover that it isn't possible. Not sure why the drop box can't be kept open at all times. ?‍♀️But overall, I have been so happy with my local post office!”
