“This is the best place to get chemical! The customer service is great, they always take time to help me out if I need it. Mary Jo has saved me a couple times and always is a phone call away. Rob got my hose reel running when I was down. 5 years of spraying, I can honestly say I wouldn’t be this far without them!”

“Longtime business in St. Matthews. Good selection of houseplants; some rare ones and some big showy floor plants. Good prices. Lots of flower and vegetable seeds, plant supplies and pots. They have the Bergs' pots, which are beautiful and come with a separate matching saucer. Happy to support a local business.”

“Pretty amazing place!! This place could be ranked even higher if they had a few more services and more space. The customer service alone makes me want to come back. You don't get that service at the other places. Keep it up and continue to innovate. I wish there was more Marketing for them. Stop by there.”

“Recently went to the Plant Kingdom for the first time. I like it and keep going back. They seem to have everything plant-related; so far I've bought a birch branch, potting mix, plastic saucers, and despite a self-imposed plant-buying moratorium, a Thanksgiving cactus. Employees are nice and helpful. I like supporting a local business, and this is a good one.”

“Excellent service, employees very knowledgeable on ceramic tiles an related materials they loaded our cart for us, and also loaded our car. Definitely will go back again for my home improvement items. 5-stars”

“My mom asked me if I wanted to go to the Winged Landscapes class at Idlewild & I said yes immediately! We love Idlewild & purchase plants from them each year. This was my first class I've attended at Idlewild and it was great! After the class we walked around & looked at the items for sale & even got to see some insects! I definitely recommend stopping in during their regular hours & checking out the shop, plants, & insects. They will announce via Facebook when their spring plant sales will start (sometime in April) & their butterfly bouquets will become available in May right before Mother's Day.”

“This was my second trip to Petals. I walk with a walker so I came through Digs (which has beautiful things), they were gracious enough to widen the isles for me and I made it to Petals. The saleswoman helped me pick out a very healthy beautiful pathos and a special ceramic pot for a birthday. She wrapped it up for me and carried it out to my car. I couldn't ask for better service or a more quality product. I will definitely be back.”

“Growers PARADISE!!! I genuinely love this place. They stock great products for us home growers. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right product for your needs. They have plant starts and even build cedar boxes. If you are new to gardening then they will help get you growing. They also sell compost soil by the scoop. The Flea off Market is held in the parking lot often and is a cool little market.”

“I am a landscape contractor. I have been dealing with Crane Hardscape Supply who owns Louisville Mulch And Stone for over 30 years. They have the best mulch, one of the best assortments of decorative rock, a large selection of large stone, and gravel for hardscaping projects. The staff are extremely knowledgeable.”

“That's a really nice landscaping in nursery establishment in the Hillview area. I'll stop by here a few different times a year and get different trees and bushes and plants. Today I picked up a dogwood tree and a Japanese maple for my mother to plan at her house. The people there are super nice and the product is very good quality and I have not had an issue with any of them since I definitely recommend it to check out”

“I like home depot you can usually find everything because it's so big. But on my last occasion I went in there for a washer. It was a special washer. About the size of a quarter. And they didn't have it. I had to go to a mom and pop shop hardware store.”

“Ordered via call in. The woman that answered the phone just hit everything perfectly, answered all my questions, suggestion was perfect. Flowers can be overwhelming and having someone there to help you choose or assist in the decision making is big plus.”

“The folks at SiteOne could not have been better to work with! From the first interaction to final delivery and even checking in afterwards to see how the project turned out, they were helpful, supportive and encouraging. They talked with me extensively about what I was trying to achieve and what kind of stone I was looking for, and then helped find me find the perfect stone at a fantastic price. As a DIYer with no actual experience in this sort of project I never felt burdensome or “talked down to.” Instead they patiently stepped me through the things I should consider and tools I might need. I will be back for all my future hardscaping project!”

“Family owned business that is passionate about their business and their personnel. One step beyond the farm with good quality products for farmers and contractors. Community minded and always willing to give a challenged employee a chance after completing a drug or alcohol treatment program, which is more than most companies do now a days. Emotionally rewarding to have worked there, but now retired.”

“When I was checking out, I realized I grabbed the wrong product. Emma was checking me out at the time. Instead of pointing me in the correct direction and wander around looking for help, Emma walked me to the area, helped me find the sales associate for that section, and also helped me look for the correct product. This was one of the best interactions I have had at a store. The store was extremely busy but Emma taking the time to help created a great/memorable customer interaction! Emma is a Rockstar employee!!”

“I worked here for about three years in my college days. I have a Lotta good memories and a lot of good fun at this place with me and my buddies working here. Everybody treated as pretty good we had a great time and I really enjoyed it. That was almost 20 years ago I can't believe it's been that long I have a Lotta good memories so today I went in there and I probably haven't been in there in about five years so I went in there shopping on some things the place is pretty much looks the same almost it's a good atmosphere big building and a Lotta good things And I really can't complain about it it's one of the better Walmarts in my opinion”

“Father's Day and an exhaust fan return brought us to this Home Depot, a location I haven't visited. Like other spots they had a huge parking lot. We were greeted quickly and our return took only a couple of minutes. My husband wanted a trimmer for his Father's Day gift. He'd done his research and one was in the cart after another five minutes. While waiting for him I was impressed with their line of grills and smokers. We browsed their paint colors for awhile. They had many options and the cards were nicely organized for shoppers. We grabbed a few options to take home to view under our lights. Checkout was quick and easy. Gift cards were available near checkout, and for options beyond Home Depot.”

“I have always shop at Home Depot and always find what I need when I do. my only complaint is not having a cashier for checking out. I have always supported having a cashier in any business. This helps with the economy and gives people jobs.”

“While they carry a wide variety of tools and supplies, they are frequently out of stock for key items, and the online inventory system sometimes does not match reality (it says they have an item, while they’re actually out).”

“By the time I left here, I knew mostly all the sales associates by name. Everyone was so accommodating. I enjoyed the friendly service, and if I didn't know where something was, the associates walked me to the section. I'm in a wheelchair and everyone I encountered treated me sooooo very kind. My floors look amazing, and the rest of the bathroom is coming along.”

“Home Depot is your reliable big-box hardware/garden/home improvement store that's going to scratch that itch when you think "I think I want to update my deck, plant some flowers, and build a Hadron Collider in my back yard". Chances are, Home Depot is going to have just about everything you need for those projects (well mostly.) This location is close to home and other shopping so it's pretty convenient when running our Sunday errands. The staff is genuinely helpful and, for the most part, they know where things are located. There may be some obscure things that I don't think anyone would know the location of (self-sealing stem bolts) which may be a challenge. The store is usually pretty well stocked and clean, although the Christmas stuff goes up WAAAY too early. In our experience when trying to buy a shed last year, this store fails miserably. Outside where the sheds are located it says to see someone inside. You go inside and there isn't a person to talk to, just a pamphlet. No knowledgeable person that can speak to anything, they just refer you to another company. When I'm looking to spend money on something as pricy as a shed I'd rather be able to talk to someone to ask the questions I need, not look at a pamphlet. Otherwise it's generally a good shopping experience. While Home Depot isn't my favorite big-box home improvement/hardware store, it is the closest.”
