“This is my first ever review of a store. I am submitting this review because Story has been fabulous to work with. He met my husband and I in the store and helped us plan an entire bath remodel. He designed a custom vanity for us and gave me prices for everything that I requested (sink, shower, custom glass, tile, closet doors, fixtures, and much more). I have emailed him countless times and he has always responded very quickly and answered all of my questions. He has been SO HELPFUL, professional, and has given us outstanding customer service, which is rare these days. (It is difficult to find help in other home improvement stores). I have been super impressed with BuildMyPlace and Story.”

“Solatube review
My Solatube was installed in late May 2024, it is now June 7. I was replacing a Sun Tunnel that had some issues, installation not product. I wanted the same type of product and found Honest Home and Solatube. The Solatube has a solar powered nightlight and I purchased the add-on light kit.
The removal of the old product and installation of the Solatube was done quickly and professionally by Juan and Bill.
I really like the nightlight, it is a soft light but bright enough to, excuse me, use the bathroom at night.
The add-on light kit uses a standard base bulb, the Sun Tunnel did not. The removal of the diffuser, for cleaning or bulb replacement, is easy and there are videos with instructions online.
Funnily enough, yesterday, when the sun was shining for the first time since insulation, I was thinking that I should turn off the light because it was so bright, silly me.
All in all I am pleased both with Honest Home (Sandra, Will, Bill and Juan) and with the Solatube product.

“All of the team members at home outlet were very helpful, took the time to listen and hear what we were interested in for the remodel of our kitchen. They gave us the name of Chase Craddock who we could connect with and discuss installing our cabinets and flooring. Chase came over gave us an estimate which was very reasonable and was not only the sweetest guy, but super funny. He has made our installation so fun. I would recommend him and his family for any future projects. His brother Cody also helped with the installation of a door, which we also purchased from home outlet. What a great team they make! The before is the original cabinetry, which was dark wood, and the after was the White and the flooring that they installed”

“We purchased the mechanism for the Deluxe Queen Murphy bed. The material supply list, directions and illustrations were extremely well written and the quality of the mechanism is excellent! Very well made and heavy duty! Completely confident it will perform and hold up for many years of use! Could not be happier with the product! Crate-a-Bed support was amazing and very responsive! I communicated a few times in the chat feature on their website and the customer service was excellent and prompt! I highly recommend Create-a-bed and thrilled to support an American Company!”

“Really appreciate store manager Christopher Nalley getting me a refund on an incomplete online order. I was credited $74 immediately to my debit card (for the delivery fee plus an apology credit towards future use in the store.) Then he immediately sent out the missing part of my order to me and waived the delivery charge. I didn't think customer service like this exists anymore.”

I can find my way around the power tools; but apparently I require a map and a guide to locate household batteries. Steve A is awesome and deserves a raise.”

“The hardest things to shop for are those which have been upgraded by technology. I needed E11 Base 75 Watt LED Halogen replacement bulbs for my ceiling fans. I knew the brand I wanted: Feit. But most online retailers would not locate them in searches. The Home Depot on Westport Road had them and the price was right! I ordered in the morning and the Home Delivery Service had them on my doorstep at 3:30 PM. The Feit bulbs perform magnificently, and they no longer add halogen heat to the Summer temperature. Shine On!”
“Purchased a stove on 11-22,used the top one time that evening.used the oven the next evening to start preparing for thanksgiving dinner.stove started malfunctioning.took back to Lowe’s and a gentleman named ZACH found us a even better stove in stock.ZACK saved our thanksgiving….big shout out to that man…thank you ZACK !!!!!!!!”

“Updated: had issues with replacement windows installed under previous owners, so this is not entirely a review of the current company. The process of fixing the windows did take a few months, but I have to commend the current owner for making good on these and replacing one set of windows, and doing the maintenance needed on the others. Bill did conscientious work and even let us know when there was an issue with the factory replacements, which they took care of. The price and the lifetime warranty are good. The office admin are absolutely wonderful. Just be aware that things do take longer than expected/desired.”
