“Great location, staff has always been nothing but nice .. giving 4 stars because I’ve had rewards expire in the past and when mentioned literally no questions asked, they can see i had it, i spend money there and really get all my shoes there (husband as well if they have his size available), but today i was told sorry cannot apply and they track that stuff — what gives?
I even mentioned like hmm okay i guess it depends on who works I’ve never had an issue before …. bummer

He mapped our feet and gave personalized recommendations for sizing and even how we should tie our laces for optimal comfort. Wasn’t pushy at all to purchase anything either! “Staff is super friendly and impeccably creatively dressed. If you ask, they will help you style an item and recommend different pieces if you are going to an event or in search of something to fill a specific need. The store’s curation is beautiful and very contemporary. There are lots of interesting, easily wearable pieces that my eye often doesn’t fall on right away because of how attractive the unusual/textural/sculptural stuff is. The result of the aesthetic mix inspires thinking differently about dressing and styling, even when I don’t pick anything up. Fair warning—some of the price tags are steep, but A) not all of them are that way, and B) higher cost per piece is often the nature of shopping for high quality pieces from small brands and emerging designers who do not have the scale and/or willingness to cut costs on sourcing materials, production processes, labor practices, craftsmanship, or thoughtful design. And you can always wait for a sale—there are very good deals on a lot of cool, niche, sometimes very high-end pieces. Nothing here comes from a 52-micro-season brand. Like its peer boutiques on Vine St (Continuum, TMBTITWI, Sloane), everything at Idlewild has careful thought and artistry behind it. Go, browse, be mindful and open-minded—the people who make up this business are that way themselves.”

“Doug helped fit me for new ski boots. I am 67 and have arthritis. The store was very busy yet he took his time to explain in detail what type of boot may work and what he can do with my current boots in the meantime that are too big. I bought boots that open from the back that makes them much easier to put on. Doug is helping me with a binding issue as the new boots require different bindings than what I have. All this to say, that he went 'above and beyond' in helping me. Thank you, Doug.”
“Today I walked in with my mom and we were looking for some volleyball shoes. I looked through the shelves and Jay and Travis were two people working there and helped me and my mom out so much. Didn’t realize how much it would be but it was totally worth it for the experience. Got my Nike shoes cleaned for free and was given variety of options. They talked to us and engaged into all of us and what we were looking for. I tried on three shoes/loved them ALL! they were so adorable and he let me run, walk, and jog around the whole store. My shoes are perfect for my feet and especially since the time they took with me to find the soles for the shoes and everything else. Each shoe they helped me tie, measure, and put on my shoe. Very amazing customer service and highly recommended especially if you’re in a rush to buy shoes that are benefited for you!”

“My aunt and I visited about a week ago and were kindly greeted by Sadid. I was thrilled by their inventory and size ranges and ended up buying some knee high patent leather boots in chocolate… omg. Love them so much. Sadid also helped me find chocolate brown tights to compliment the look and helped us smell some viral TikTok fragrances. I spent less than $50 on the shoes and tights. Cannot wait to go back. Highly recommend!”

“This store was excellent. All the associates were very helpful and attentive. I was quickly given a dressing room and they added my considered clothes to it. All the associates gave advice about the pieces that I tried and hand picked items they thought I would like. I didn’t even go in for jeans but they picked out such a great options I ended up going home with three pairs. The clothes are pricey but the service and quality make it worth it.”

Certainly expensive, but it’s a luxury children’s boutique - by walking in one has to accept the concept. Staff was very kind and helpful once I broke the ice. Mom and dad are very happy with the selections they picked for my clueless self. I’ll be back for the nostalgia, nice clothes, and kind service on my Guncle duties.”
