“Drove from Corbin to Somerset, (nearest banking center from Corbin unfortunately), to get a Financial Statement Form filled out for new apartment we are moving to. Lisa, the teller was very good to me. She explained the process she would have to follow to assist me. In about an hour the form was completed and already on the apartment Manager's desk in Corbin?. That's why I bank with Monticello Banking Company, good, fast and friendly customer service.???”
“This is a good bank. The downside is that they need to have commercial customers, with large change orders, go inside the bank to get this done no through the drive through. Either that or request that they put their order in the night drop so it can be worked up before the bank opens, and it will be ready for the customer when they come in to the bank. This type of transaction hold everyone up for at least 15 to 20 minutes. I personally have waited a time or two for 15 minutes. Very inconvenient. On the good side. They have very nice tellers.”

I researched local competition to explore my options. I was able to make some account adjustments that satisfied my specific needs. That said, I want to express my gratitude to Mia who has been an invaluable banking asset as we have navigated a complex estate settlement. When I expressed some frustrations, she was most empathetic and escalated my concerns to Chelsea who is one of the VPs. Chelsea promptly called me and was extremely friendly, professional and accommodating. I was able to make a few account consolidations and will continue my 15+ year relationship with F&F. In summary, The staff at the Main branch is second to none!
Original review:
We began banking with F&F in 2011 when we moved to Somerset and our home mortgage was written through them. We held numerous checking and savings accounts over the years and have maintained substantial balances (earning little to no interest) out of convenience. The staff has always been cordial and professional.
Recently while settling an Estate we had to have wire transfers out of our account. A 25 dollar fee was imposed. Shortly thereafter we had 95K wired into the bank and were charged another 25 dollar fee. When I disputed the fairness of fees imposed to channel funds INTO the bank it was dismissed as usual and customary fees.
Upon investigation of this practice at other local banks I found this was not their practice. I also discovered banking with no fees and attractive interest rates on funds held at some other banking options.
I will be exploring options on transferring my accounts to a bank more focused on customers than fees.”

“The tellers are always friendly, greet you with a smile and want to help you. Forcht Bank is like most other banks with there service charge fees on accounts. This is a good bank, I have been with them for about 17 or 18 years. I would recommend checking out more than one bank when choosing a checking/savings account so that you make the right decision for your needs.”
