    “I have shopped at our Kroger in St. Matthews (Hubbards Lane) for over 25 years and think it's a nice place to shop. We have many other grocery options nearby like Whole Foods, Walmart, Target & Trader Joe's (my other go-to). They keep evolving with the times, with curb service groceries, etc. The produce is good quality for the $. The little clinic is handy. Many of the people at this Kroger have been working there a long time and are very friendly. My minor beef is with the deli. It takes forever to get meat sliced. The system they used to have was great because you could order at a kiosk and come back at the end of your shopping to pickup.”

    “I was in need of my money that was sent by Walmart to Walmart, I went to 3 different locations and the workers were in a rush to hurry and get off work. I called st matthews Walmart and the manager Gary poloston, told me to come to his store and he wold wait for me. Thanks a lot Gary, I needed that money to pay bills early the next morning!”

    “Jake and Warren stayed late to help out several people waiting in line! A bunch of people had called in so these two guys stepped up to the plate like some pros. Jake was a great conversationalist and had a great demeanor which helped and Warren was silently and efficiently filling the orders behind him. These two impressive gentlemen deserve a raise!”

    Kroger is spending $112 million to build two new stores and renovate 15 existing locations across central and northwest Ohio. The company calls it a "record-breaking" commitment to the region. The two new Kroger Marketplace stores will rise in Canal Winchester and Delaware, Ohio, each costing roughly $30 million to build. Kroger broke ground on the Canal Winchester location on March 19 at the southeast corner of Diley Road and Greengate Boulevard.     Loblaw Companies Limited is putting serious money into its retail network this year. Canada's largest food and pharmacy retailer announced it will spend $2.4 billion in 2026 to open new stores, renovate existing locations and strengthen its supply chain. The company plans to open 70 new stores in 2026. That includes 34 Shoppers Drug Mart and Pharmaprix pharmacies and care clinics, along with 31 hard-discount No Frills and Maxi grocery stores. On top of the new openings, Loblaw will renovate another 191 stores and continue construction on a roughly 1.2 million-square-foot automated distribution center in Caledon, Ontario.
