“I LOVED MY STAY!!!!!!! when I visit again I will definitely be staying here. Everything was super clean, the staff is all super nice and helpful. There are three cats that stay in the hotel and hang out with guests/employees which made my soul super happy as an animal lover away from their pet… Plus the aesthetic of the hotel is to die for. The building has so much history! There are so many places to cozy up and read a book or have your morning tea (which they also provide free of charge along with many other refreshment options!)Nearby activities: Lots of shopping, food and drinks nearby. You will run out of time before running out of things to do/experience!Walkability: Super walkable!!! Did not need to uber for most of my trip (which was good because Ubers were always surging higher rates and super expensive)”

“STUNNING luxury hotel! Harpist playing in the lobby on a Friday morning. The ladies room in the lobby has a complete restroom inside the individual stall; toilet with seat covers, a SINK with an individual liquid soap dispenser, and an abundance of cloth hand towels! How lovely!!! This is across from Canal street, away from the French Quarter, and the majority of tourists. A very quiet area.”

“We stayed for a week during mardi gras week all the way from the UK. I have to say the service and demeanour of the front desk was delightful. They were knowledgeable and helpful which is what you need arriving in a new city. The rooms had a good feel about them and the location was pretty perfect also. 5 Stars! Keep up the great work and we will be back.”

“It was truly incredible to sleep in a place with a century of history. Formerly a patrol post with its prison, it is now a boutique hotel tour comfort. We love the details added to the decoration, the nods to his prison past but above all the hospitality of Todd, who made our stay exceptional! I recommend 1000 times!Rooms: The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated while keeping their historic appearance with the stone walls.Safety: We were 3 women and we felt very comfortable in this area. We didn't have a car but it was very easy to walk and take the bus.Noteworthy details: A rooftop terrace allows you to enjoy the outdoors! We also have access to a full kitchen and a living room area. We feel like home!”

“Stopped in while walking around and exploring New Orleans. This bar is a great find!!! Loved the vibe of a neighborhood bar that has great drinks and even better service. Leanne was our bartender and she was personable, friendly, attentive, and shared in plenty of laughs while we sat at the bar. Definitely coming back the next time we’re in NO!!!Food & drinks: Had various cocktails (all were great) and beers. They have a great selection of local craft beer!!!”

“Lunch here was outstanding. My group had many things off the small but interesting menu - smash burgers, chicken katsu sandwich, salads, lettuce cups, bork belly.Service was great.Food itself was amazing. You could tell that a great amount of care and attention to detail was put into every single dish - fresh ingredients and how it was cooked, prepared, and served - even the French Fries.Highly recommended.”

“I was looking for a French breakfast and found this place. There's not much on the breakfast menu that is French. The bartender suggested this, and it was wonderful. Everything was prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. Coffee was good and strong.”

“What a fantastic little spot this is!Right on the edge of the French Quarter and walking distance to everywhere. The hotel is beautifully maintained with its own museum and lovely, spacious, quiet rooms. We had read about Gregory on the front desk in several reviews and were absolutely delighted to find him at the desk when we arrived. He was every bit as helpful as everyone says... told us all about the hotel and the local area, and gave us a number of restaurant recommendations, which were great. We couldn't recommend this hotel highly enough. Absolutely superb!”

“Great location for the hotel and updated amenities make it a great option when staying in NOLA. I used the JW during the most recent Mardi Gras. The location right next to the parade route made it a breeze to walk out into the festivities. Great customer service during the check in process and a well-stocked concierge lounge.Walkability: Great proximity to other hotels, good nearby food options.”

“The Hotel St. Marie was the perfect hotel for my husband and I when we visited New Orleans last week. It was so close to Bourbon Street that we could walk in just a minute when we wanted to, but still feel completely separate when on our balcony overlooking the hotel’s peaceful courtyard. The rooms were nice, clean, and the air conditioning and water pressure/temperature worked great, and the amenities on site were extremely convenient. But most importantly, the staff were so kind, considerate, and helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“Cool bar and restaurant in this fabulous hotel. We asked the manager for a quick tour, and we were delighted with the experience... Very cool to see an inside glimpse of the private patio for hotel guests, and unique features in each boutique room... So much to explore next time!”

“Great location, close to Mother's and the French Quarter. Check-in was a bit of a fiasco trying to unload the luggage as the drive thru was blocked off so had to fight with a sloping sidewalk and a lot of rain. Apparently a lot of people were signing in at once, hence the lack of bellboy support. Went thru 3 people (friendly but a little overwhelmed) at the front desk before I received room cards. They take a $250 deposit which should be given back in 4-6 business days. Received a pressure sell to attend an update meeting even though we were only there 2 nights, which I respectfully declined. The room itself was nice and we appreciated the complimentary laundry area to wash some clothes. All in all I wouldn't rule this place out as our previous stay went much smoother.”

“Stayed one night. Nice hotel and great location. We had a 2nd floor balcony and we loved that we could hear the street action and live music from our room. Room was spacious and comfy. They do need to tend to the balcony floor - the wood decking has seen better days, but I would still stay in the exact room again.”

“My husband and I loved staying here during our trip to NOLA in February 2024. It was clean, charming, and the beds were comfortable. Super spacious and loved having a full kitchen! Champagne at the front desk was beyond helpful, accommodating, and informative. We loved chatting with him! Thank you for being so kind to us!”

“We had a very delicious Mother's Day dinner. We almost did not have a good experience, since our waiter, Michael, seemed to forget about taking our dinner order. Thank goodness for Jamie, the Sommelier, who came to our rescue - found us a great bottle of wine, took our dinner order, and looked after us. Michael returned to present the bill. Kudos to Jamie!”

“The hotel is well situated and the rooms are very charming. The breakfast was a good simple continental breakfast. Generally, I would recommend this hotel. But I would keep in mind a few things.First, yes parking is included. However, when it is full, you have to park a block away in the hospital parking where there is no gate like at the hotel. We also had issues with the toilet, even after a staff member came to fix it. The staff at the front desk could definitely be friendlier (the cleaning staff was lovely). A nice, personable staff would have made a huge difference in the experience.”

“Called in advance to see if the pool was already opened before booking and YES it's on opened, the rooms where kinda snug. I thought we would get more space but I guess that's if you pay the $$$. It's like a motel 6 size room maybe even smaller then one. The breakfast food was great and the pool was fun”

“We spent three wonderful nights here in room 453, The Editor's Suite. The room is quite spacious. The pictures and description on the website are pretty much spot on. Just some quick points. The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean for the msot part. The TV in the sitting area will not stay turned off. It just keeps coming back on. The shower door handle was broken and put back in place. Both shower heads do not work at the same time. However, the wet room is pretty cool. DO NOT step out of there, with wet feet, onto the tile floor. It is SLIPPERY. Put a towel down. Like, really. There is plenty of hot water and the tub is big enough for two. ? The view is onto the street in front of the hotel. The toilet paper is soooo thin. Seemed a bit petty to skimp on that. We were there three days and never asked for housekeeping, but getting them to part with a couple extra towels was funny. Looked at us like we were going to keep them. She gave them up though, reluctantly. The location really is perfect. Just on the edge of the French Quarter, it was quiet and tucked away, but a very short walk to the grit that is New Orleans. Some nice seating out front and easy access for Uber service. There is a nice steakhouse right across the street, where there is also some ongoing construction. Lobby, bar, and courtyard are swanky with nooks and crannies to hang out in and take selfies. ? Very Instagrammable hotel. Some live music in the "lobby" was nice and the concierge was friendly and willing to help. They offer bikes to get around the city that were included in our room rate. They held our luggage as we were early and again when we wanted to go out for brunch after we checked out. Ice machine was out order on the fourth floor. There is a mini fridge, and safe but no microwave. They were very accomidating.”

“If you are looking for a lovely, comfortable, conveniently located bed and breakfast in New Orleans, run by people who know what they’re doing, this is your place. The hosts know the area well and provide thoughtful recommendations. The rooms are well equipped and have amenities not usually expected in a historic bed and breakfast. We plan to return.”

“If the French Quarters is where you're hoping to stay, this is a great spot. You're steps away from Bourbon St, and very close to anywhere in French Quarters, and a short distance walk to the boardwalk and the central business district. The staff were all super friendly, Tracy (I believe her name was) at the front desk was super helpful and nice. The rooms were comfortable and the valet staff were great too. Definitely would recommend this hotel if you're hoping to stay in the French Quarters!”

“Stayed here for 4 nights and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and very helpful, especially Alexis at the front desk! We got to check in early, and we had a basic room with a window facing a run-down courtyard. The room was clean, but the hallways don't form a complete loop (or square), but more of a spiral to the elevator. We were at the very end (room 461), so we had to walk down 4 long hallways every time to access the elevator. It's not the end of the world, but it just added extra steps every time we left our room. The room was nice, basic, and clean. The shower was a rain style shower with a separate detachable handle. We had a flat screen TV, drink cooler that didn't cool our drinks at all, coffee maker, ice bucket, and alarm clock with USB access/charging. No easily accessible plugs near the bed or nightstand. Some hotels have plugs built into the nightstand lamps or accessible behind the nightstand, but our room had 1 plug behind the bed and 1 inconveniently located under the desk next to the bed but not very close to the bed. We like to charge electronics on our nightstand, but and to compromise here unless you bring an extension cord. The bathroom is spacious, and they have the wall mounted bottle pumps of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Pressure was decent, and hot water was abundant and got hot as expected. The bathroom fan is on a motion timer, so it will go on automativally every time you enter the bathroom. The bed was comfy, and sheets were soft. We asked for extra pillows and coffee, and they had them delivered within minutes. The lobby is gorgeous, and the extra security feature of needing your room key to access the elevator from the 1st floor is a nice touch. I didn't visit the pool or exercise room, so I can not review those. Easy access in front for valet parking, taxis, Ubers, and Lyfts. The lobby has direct access to the restaurant on one side and the jazz bar on the other. We never tried the restaurant, but we did visit the hotel's bar (Bourbon O) and caught a drink while listening to live music. A bonus is that you can sit in the beautiful and comfy lobby and gear the live music also. The hotel has a few scrapes and bruises from time, but the location is top-notch, only minutes by foot from Jackson Square in one direction and Bourbon Street in the other. The staff was super friendly and attentive, and overall, the hotel was clean and worth the price. I would definitely stay here again!”

“Our stay for this trip was amazing! We loved the room, the bathroom, how we had a balcony off of our room and of course the pool! Would definitely stay here again. Made the girls trip well worth it!”

“This place encapsulates everything great about New Orleans: beautiful architecture, welcoming atmosphere and exceptionally good social! Although it's a little far from the french quarter, the tram is only $3 for a day ticket and runs frequently from the bottom of the street to the city centre. I can't wait to return!”

“My husband and I booked 6 nights at One 11. We had the most amazing time that we are, less than a week later planning our return visit! It was more than a great experience! Starting with the staff who were all friendly and welcoming to the beautiful building and decor. The history of the building is incredible, don't skip the booklet! The view was breathtaking both from the room and the terrace. The area is notoriously noisy but we both slept beautifully. We were not disturbed by noise and the bed was so comfortable! The bar and restaurant were a perfect compliment to the hotel, but the best, the absolute best was Melissa, her suggestions were spot on and when coming back from a day of walking around the city to her "fresh squeezed " lemonade really made me feel absolutely pampered! Luxury at it's finest!Rooms: Gorgeous, comfortable bed, luxury linen, great shower!Nearby activities: The aquarium is almost across the street, don't miss it. The trolley stops are so close that anything you want to do is easily accessible.Safety: Key card access after dark, secure elevators, 24 hour front desk, or at least every time we were there. It seemed like a pretty safe area.Walkability: You can walk to all the hot spots of the French Quarter but if you get tired there are several different trolly stops about a block away. Bring your walking shoes!Food & drinks: Delicious cocktails, good beer selection, continental breakfast was a nice light option to the heavy meals of the French Quarter, "small plates" are not so small, my Caesar salad was a full meal! Gary and Melissa are wonderful!Noteworthy details: Take someone you love or the magic of it all just might make you fall in love with the next person you see!”
