“The room I have is spacious and clean with a mini fridge and microwave. The staff is fantastic. Very friendly and accommodating. You're half hour from Bar Harbor, Bangor, and Acadia. Ellsworth seems to be a lively little town. It's a great value to stay here. The price is half that of the chain hotels nearby and at least as ”

“I recently visited this infrared sauna spot in downtown Bar Harbor and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance is relaxing from the moment you walk in.The private room is a game-changer; it felt like my own personal wellness sanctuary. Clean bathrobes and luxurious showers add another layer of comfort, allowing you to refresh before and after your sauna session. The sauna itself employs cutting-edge infrared technology that seems to penetrate deeper than a traditional sauna, offering enhanced detoxification benefits. I walked out feeling rejuvenated and lighter, both physically and mentally. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and they ensure that you have everything you need for a peaceful experience. Considering its prime location in downtown, it's a convenient spot for both locals and tourists.Overall, I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. It's a wellness gem in the heart of Bar Harbor.”

“Just spent a few days with Ralph and Anna and what great hosts they are! Absolutely scrumptious breakfasts, served with lots of New England hospitality! The Inn is located just right off of all of the action, everything within walking distance so no hunting for a parking space when wandering through the village district of Bar Harbor. Yet it is quiet and cozy, and made for good sleeping! I would highly recommend this charming B&B!!!”

“Had our 2nd stay at the Grand Hotel over the Labor Day holiday. The staff and guests were fantastic for the most part. The only issue was the reservation.Apparently I made the reservation before our fight schedule was finalized. So when I called the hotel to confirm a week in advance, we didn't have a room after all. But the good news is they had an even bigger room for the same price. The room was huge with a sleep sofa and could sleep 6 if necessary. The included breakfast was great with different options every day. My family enjoyed the hot tub and the front porch rocking chairs very much. The people at the front desk couldn't be any nicer as well. The location is not on the water but very convenient to walk, shuttle or bike just about anywhere. Parking is free and can be tight but we were always able to find a spot. Bar Harbor has become very crowded but we still enjoyed our visit and the definitely the park.”

“Even though they were closing down for the season while we stayed, my stay couldn't have been more perfect. Very quaint, small town feel with all the amenities of a chain hotel. Cookies (always my favorite touch) at check-in and a small continental breakfast. Penny at the front desk was such a lovely, kind, and helpful host.Rooms: The bed was very comfortable. And I'm picky. The extra blanket in the room was very appreciated.Nearby activities: In location allows you to walk just about everywhere in town. HUGE walkability points and a 16-minute drive to the summit of Cadillac Mountain.”

“Front desk would not let us use their outlet to charge our car due to energy costs. Running their 220v AC unit in the room would cost them more, so does not make sense to why cause trouble for people who are on vacation for no cost to them…”

“Front desk was great. Area is perfect for going into Acadia NP without breaking your bank. Motel style which was nice. Breakfast was not the greatest due to the setup and lack of what could/should be there (cheese for eggs or granola for yogurt machine). Great space for breakfast.”

“I wish we could have stayed longer! From the minute we checked in, I was immediately sad that we were only staying for 3 nights. The location is amazing and the town of Bar Harbor is so adorable! It’s a super close drive to Acadia. The hotel amenities are so nice: beautiful pools, tennis courts, etc. The rooms are nice and Nest NY bath products, so nice! The lobby is very cute with a wood burning fireplace. You can grab pizza to-go from the restaurant onsite. The cocktails by the pool were great. It was a very enjoyable stay! One unique thing about this hotel is that during low tide, you can walk across to Bar Island, which is a fun thing to do at sunset for a quick hike on the island.Rooms: Rooms are nice, Nest New York bath products. Walk-in showersNearby activities: Lots of restaurants, ice cream, cafes, and shops, (mostly tourist shops). Also very short drive to Acadia National Park.Walkability: This hotel is in an excellent location in downtown Bar Harbor. It’s very walkable to all of the bars, restaurants, shops, cafes, etc.Food & drinks: The food and drinks onsite are good. You can take a pizza to-go. The cocktails by the pool were very good. The restaurant was always packed for dinner.Noteworthy details: One unique thing about this hotel is that when you check in, they give you a schedule for high/low tide because during low tide, you can walk across to Bar Island.”

Would definitely recommend and stay here again.Nearby activities: 10 minutes to Bar Harbor, close to mini golf.Safety: Had a car full of items from a long road trip and we felt safe leaving our car in the lot.”

“Bar Harbor boasts the Lovely Hepatitis, a hotel with breathtaking views. For a delectable dining experience, you can visit the little Mad Shop or one of the organic restaurants in the vicinity. The hotel also has an in-house restaurant that serves delicious meals. It has a rooftop terrace with a pool, but it is restricted to visitors above 18 years of age. You can avail yourself of kind bars and coffee available on every floor. The staff is extremely courteous and friendly, and they also permit dogs, albeit with a slightly expensive pet fee. The soap is great too, smells like the ocean. Overall, it is a great hotel with stunning views.”

“Good hotel with good location for Acadia National Park. Free parking in Front of the building. Everything in Ellsworth easily accessable. Rooms of good size. Fridge an heating ok. Swimming Pool with hot tub on site. We would definitely return if in the area.”

“The rooms I saw were dated but in good shape. Comfy beds, fridge, microwave, multiple shampoos and conditioners which everyone skimps on these days. Table with chairs, ironing board and a balcony with a nice view of the property. There are ocean view rooms.Service was outstanding. The two or three people I interacted with at the front desk were friendly, helpful, informative and professional. The gift shop is great and the same hours as the front desk.Nice, nostalgic indoor pool and hot tub (you'll see).Short drive to downtown or Acadia. I'll be back!”

“A bit over priced, but I loved it. We had an ocean view room with 2 king beds. The room decor was dated but very spacious and comfortable. The bathroom needs to be updated and fixed as the tub was wobbly and there was mold in various spots. We were on the second floor with a balcony. It was beautiful! We were right next to the restaurant which is only open for breakfast 6 days a week but the deck from the restaurant is accessible at all times and has some fire tables and a beautiful view.We would go to the main resort for the piano player and a cocktail in the evening. Such a nice add. They also had more coffee, water fountain to fill out bottles before hiking and a cute gift shop. The staff were friendly and helpful. Upon check in they provided us with a dog bowl and some p*** bags.It is a good 15 minute walk to town, downhill there and uphill on the way back. There is a shuttle that goes to town but we liked to walk. All in all, I really enjoyed our stay. I would go again. The prices are too high for the accomodations unless they update the rooms, but I really like this little resort.”

“My family and I were supposed to stay at nearby Days Inn, for some reason they have a booking error and the Inn owner complemented us to this resort. Room is comfortable, restaurant service is great.”

“It's a motel, the rooms were clean, could use some updating and paint. The beds and pillows were not comfortable. And the door lets in a draft. But it was acceptable for what we needed.”

“Stayed two nights back in October. I usually stay in mom and pop motels to save money so I was prepared for what I was getting into. After reading some of the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised during my stay. Clean room and bed, hot shower and only one spider to deal with. Staff was great. I've stayed at a lot of name brand motels that were worse for more money. As long as you know that it's not the Waldorf Astoria, you'll be fine...”
