The crew in Lou's Custom Exhaust is amazingly friendly and tell you what's the issue right away, and even let you see it personally. Not only you can get custom jobs at this location, but also all other repairs related to exhaust systems from A to Z. I would have given a 6 star but it only allows me 5. “My check engine light came on June 15, 2024 in Western NY - I was on my way to Portland, ME. I began calling auto repair shops in Portland and all of them could not help me until the first week of July, 2024. That’s where Meineke came in and they truly went out of their way to help me. The issue was with the thermostat in my Miata. They replaced it with an OEM one at a reasonable price. As of today June, 23 - one thousand miles with my new thermostat - I am truly great full to Meineke.”

“Super quick, affordable, and knowledgeable. I brought in a Subaru that had a pesky scraping sound I couldn't get rid of. The guys at Cumberland looked at it, tried some fixes, and charged me a fair price. When the problem persisted, they told me to bring it back, rode with me to hear where the noise came from, and fixed it again within a few hours, this time getting the noise to almost zero. Never charged me for the second visit and gave me good advice about long term fixes my car might need and how to mitigate problems in the short term. If I lived in the area this would be my go-to garage!”

However, I do have an issue with the detailing of my new pickup. Mud in the wheelwells, dirt/mud in the bed of the truck, tires dirty, kind of like a quick wipe down and that was it?? You get an A for Olivia and a D for detailing.”

“This auto shop has always provided me great and prompt service. You just feel like you are talking to the owner in every interaction with the folks there, no “service manager” who holds a nebulous bureaucrat position. It’s refreshing. I have purchased a snowplow from them and they walked me through the options and went over pros and cons of those, ultimately they mounted it the day they said they would and have gotten me back in same day during the winter when I had an issue and pulled the truck right in and 45 minutes I was out the door with things fixed. Though I don’t have a commercial sized vehicle (ie. Peterbilt, etc) they we very accomodating and did a full inspection of the suspension of my SUV….i actually had been drooling over all new bushings and control arms, etc up front (I get excited), I called Monday and they said bring it in Friday, I did and I watched them look over the entire underside of the truck, the mechanic took it out for a drive and ultimately they told me that I needed an alignment (to fix camber) and they did that, then they again drove it to ensure the issues I’d noticed (and they had) were resolved….in the end, I got an eval and an alignment not a wallet biopsy! Really appreciate them, kind of feels like going to your doctor 40 years ago.
Hope they stay around another 100 years! Couldn’t recommend higher.”

“At 56 years old I've had many cars and both good and bad mechanics. Joseph and his team were great! I live in PA and bought a used truck in ME. I bought used running boards, a bed cover (both of which were wrong size). Joseph made them both work. The tailgate would not open, he fixed that but told me the lock was not working. I said don't worry, I won't need the lock. When I picked it up it was fixed. They even stayed open late on a Friday to finish all of the work. Can't recommend him enough!”

“It's not often that spending time at car repair shop makes you have a more pleasant day and leave feeling more optimistic about humanity. The folks at Paulin's on Forest Ave are SO NICE & also do a fabulous (and fast!) job. We started going there when we got a nail in a tire and our usual place couldn't fit us in for 3 weeks. Paulin's had us in and out that same day in half an hour! They've now done our brakes and other maintenance as well, and their prices are super reasonable. I just love this place!”
