“Based on the recommendation of a local, we stopped to grab some lobster from the seafood section that they steamed up for us. It took 20 minutes to get seven lobsters done. They do not provide drawn butter or steam up corn or anything else, but this was helpful nonetheless.”

Each member of the staff seems eminently knowledgeable about their products, not just where the products are on the shelves. They're a compounding pharmacy, making them a great resource for any medications that need to be mixed or otherwise custom made.”

“My husband and I have both had not ideal experiences with pharmacies in the past but the staff here is always so respectful. Specifically Truman, he is the man. He puts the T in Trust. He has advocated for us when we have needed assistance with insurance issues without judgement only encouragement and extremely helpful information. We moved farther away from the pharmacy but still make the trip to this location because we know we will be given top notch service. 10/10 for Truman and the staff.”
“Really impressed with this Hannaford. As a Portland area person, of course my first thought of Hannaford is Forest Ave - but since my office moved over to Riverside, I've frequented this Hannaford quite a bit. Sure, their selection is smaller - like, a lot smaller - than Forest Ave, but what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. The folks at the deli are fabulous, and through all this virus craziness, they've been very clearly diligent about cleaning/sanitizing/ensuring their customers feel they are doing their due diligence. I went through a checkout the other day and the cashier was great - switched gloves between customers, used sanitizer - she was friendly and gracious when I apologized I even had to be there to get anything!! They've got a hot bar, salad bar, bakery, and produce - what else do you need?! They also have a great selection of Amy's organic frozen meals, which is my go-to. Really fab location.”

“I cannot believe people give 1 star for needing a damn restroom. Seriously, I'm sure the type is called the paying customer...right. Honestly I gave 4 stars here because the items I use like to show up and suddenly disappear. Also, there's not much reasonably priced (at every location). Though the store clerks here are never very happy and some are apparently looking for a girlfriend, the pharmacy is not like this and they are professionals. I give the people at the pharmacy dept. 5 stars. The male pharmacist is extremely helpful and the young lady, Marlene, who is a pharmacist technician is most helpful, too. She and the other guy, (who wears the awesome shoes, perhaps Nick?) go out of their way to make things right. All with wonderful attitudes. All of these people at the pharmacy are amazing and they exceed in giving a satisfying experience from good customer service they provide. As far as shopping here, I am not a fan. Trader Joe's has better options for much of what is offered here and it's right next door. Not a great location for a Walgreen's is my opinion. Prices are high and there isn't much for folks who are vegan nor for those who like to shop conscious, green and ethical.”

“When one of my buddies wasn't feeling well while we were in Portland, I made a trip to this Walgreens to get Advil, water, candy and nuts...only the essentials, naturally. The store was clean, well-lit and well-stocked. Prices were reasonable and checkout was fairly quick. There's a parking lot here as well, which is nice because parking in downtown Portland is at a premium! If you have drugstore needs, this is your place.”

“After several unpleasant experiences at the Auburn Street store I decided to try this store. You learn quickly not to bother a pharmacist on Auburn St. This happened to me twice in about a 4 month period. The pharmacist at this CVS went out of her way to answer my question. She knew that I was at the end of a line of 4 people at pick up but I had no pick up and I just wanted to find out about flu shots. She took me out of line and simply answered my question. I have now switched to this pharmacy.”

“I was visiting friends in the area for a weekend when their cat triggered pmy asthma symptoms, I went into the pharmacy looking for a solution to my breathing difficulties and the blonde pharmacist with glasses made me o h. Haware of how serious my issues were and helped me contact my doctor for an emergency prescription. They had it filled within an hour. I also want to add the tech with glasses and curly hair was super friendly and slayed their fit today. Thank you cvs.”

“I have been using this pharmacy and store since 2019. I have used drive thru and visited store many times. I have also called them. They have always been very helpful and pleasant 99% of the time. CoVid has caused a lot of stress and confusion. Plus most places are under staffed. Please give them an opportunity to catch up and get into a healthy routine and working as a team. “With regard to everything except prescription drugs, this store is incredible. The main floor is clean, bright, well-maintained, and staffed with the most helpful people I have ever encountered. They always go out of their way to help me find things as well as check out. They help me navigate, the miles of coupons CVS gives out to my advantage each and every time and then there is the prescription counter . Undoubtedly the worst one I have ever encountered. The people, meanwhile, but I just simply overwhelmed, undertrained or something.. I have seen indications that they are trying to improve. I would never go there if I didn’t have to. We’ll see how it turns out.”

“I'm grateful that this pharmacy got my medications transferred from another Walgreens much faster than I was told. They were very busy, and I appreciate that they were open on the weekends. It only took a half hour from making the call to picking up the meds, yet most of that time was waiting in the phone queue, which is not the fault of the pharmacist or technicians. It is Walgreens fault for understaffing. I appreciate the people, but not the corporation.”

“Such a refreshing pharmacy experience! My GI works through them regularly to get more expensive medications since they’re so good with insurance claims and authorizations. They even found a manufacturer coupon so I haven’t paid a single dime out of pocket for any of the 3 courses of my medication I’ve received from them! Despite being in Maine, I receive my medication in Chicago within 2 days. I’ve never had any issues with their customer service and it’s wonderful not having to wait on hold for 30+ minutes to speak to someone versus the retail pharmacies near me. Can’t recommend using their service enough!”
