Grocery Stores
“I just left the Sullivan store and I have to say I was completely shocked at how cleaned out the store was. I was just there three weeks ago and it was a complete disaster. Now all the isles are cleaned up there’s no carts in there anywhere and you can actually walk up and down every single isle I am very impressed. Keep it up!!”
“If you are visiting Bar Harbor and drink wine, go here! This is an awesome little shop right outside of town with a great selection of wine at very good prices. We got a sancerre, a pinot nero, and they even have orange wine for those in the know. Fun little space in a retrofitted garage and the lady working was very friendly and knowledgable. A+ wine shop.”
“Small grocery, surprisingly had all the staples (unexpected for a store by gas station): not just snacks but some veggies, bread, deli/pizza counter, dairy, ground beef/meat etc.”
“Small place with big selection, covering all the staples, plus beer and wine. $ome $eafood, look$ good and fre$h. Super convenient from Schoodic Woods campground. Friendly staff and customers.”
“Really nice store with good looking produce and seafood. You can have live lobsters steamed at the back counter. It takes 15 minutes, so plan accordingly for your shopping trip. The parking lot is fairly small and fills up quickly.”
“Came for the sub, but fell in love with the peanut butter whoopie pie. Theirs beat all the others we've had recommended to us so far on our trip through Maine. Nice hidden gem in Hancock.”
“They are sadly understaffed, but it's a great pharmacy- it's Bar Harbor where life is a little slower, a little nicer pace so be kind to these people- they work very hard. The lead pharmacist is wonderful if you are patient and kind. Plan ahead for your needs- great people.”
“Always convenient stop, just have to be careful pulling out as route 1 can be tricky with oncoming cars and trucks. Try their breakfast burrito, outstanding taste and filling.”
