“It is located on a dynamic part of road down on to and off Mount Desert Island.
It is a vital part of the local community. folks use it for very early fuel and coffee breakfast lunch, and afternoon pick up to take home after a days work.
The meat department has a good meat person who keeps the department fresh.
The vegetable department is good basics. They have a pizza sandwich section kept fresh.
They carry a selection of beer, wine ciders. practical cheeses. Yogurt, OJ
There is frozen items , chilled dairy. Ice cream. Lobsters alive in the bin.”
“Excellent meat, seafood & grocery store. Great variety of foods. My favorite thing about Acadia Provisions though is the Deli. The meats & cheeses are 2nd to none. You can even grab a beer to pair with your sandwich if your are eating in. Matt is so creative with his daily specials. I am always bummed when I have missed one of the more interesting ones. Definately recommend grabbing lunch here. The sandwiches are also large enough to split between two people.”

“Ellsworth Shaw's finally has installed some self-checkouts, only 4 which sadly is nowhere near as much as they need but it's a step in the right direction. The staff are extraordinarily friendly, as well as being helpful. Prices are high, but coupons bring prices down as well as very good sales.”
“If you are visiting Bar Harbor and drink wine, go here! This is an awesome little shop right outside of town with a great selection of wine at very good prices. We got a sancerre, a pinot nero, and they even have orange wine for those in the know. Fun little space in a retrofitted garage and the lady working was very friendly and knowledgable. A+ wine shop.”

“We love this place. We are lucky enough to sell them our aged organic apple cider vinegar. This means I get ti deliver vinegar and browse and buy. Yesterday I bought cinnamon rolls, a supplement and grapefruit dish soap. NICE staff people. Cool wines. A great selection of everything nutritious and delicious in an inviting, open, clean space!!”
“this place is perfect. we got two hard boiled eggs, saltine goldfish, kombucha, oyster crackers, a banana, and a naked juice. if you know, you know. our cashier was friendly and had a handy flashlight. the bathroom was very clean! we stopped in both before and after acadia national park - that's how much this place rocks! it's all smiles at the friends and family market!”

“I just left the Sullivan store and I have to say I was completely shocked at how cleaned out the store was. I was just there three weeks ago and it was a complete disaster. Now all the isles are cleaned up there’s no carts in there anywhere and you can actually walk up and down every single isle I am very impressed. Keep it up!!”
