“Needed a jeweler to repair the clasp on a silver necklace. Tom, the owner, had it done in minutes and refused to accept any payment, saying it was too small of a job to charge for! Rare to find that sort of attitude these days. If you need high quality but affordable jewelry service, I can't recommend Bethesda Jewelers enough. Access to the building can be tricky at times due to the high security entrance, but the store can be reached via phone if you need to be let in.
The store also has an interesting collection of modern and antique jewelry on display, as well as a large, curated collection of designer brand watches, as well as some rare and collectible luxury brand pieces, all of which are quite reasonably priced compared to MSRP or online. 10/10 overall, I will be back for any future jewelry repairs I may need.”

“We just picked up my "push present" from Irwin this afternoon and I am beyond elated. When I was a little girl my grandfather gave me a piece of costume jewelry. As a young child, I thought it was the prettiest little piece of jewelry in the world and I was determined that one day I would have it made with gold and diamonds. For years that piece of costume jewelry came with me wherever I went. Fast forward 30 years... my husband asked me what I wanted as a push gift to welcome our daughter and I told him my wish. We heard wonderful things about Irwin's work and visited him before our little one was born. I am so glad we did! My bird brooch/necklace is amazing and is now my favorite piece of jewelry I own.”
“I stopped by today to have my young daughter's bracelet fixed. The owner was as friendly and honest as they come. Most of the bracelet links are beat up, he could have easily upsold me on replacing the entire bracelet but retain the name plaque like I suggested. He said that was not necessary since it was well made. A few minutes and a few bucks later I was out the door. I'm new to the area so I'm still finding all my go to's, this is now one of them!”

“I've always had a great experience visiting this location but today was very impressive. I stopped by just curious how to handle tarnished rings. I had made sure I followed all the suggested treatments of the jewelry by never washing my hands with the rings on or put on lotion while wearing them yet they still tarnished. The young lady asked to see the rings and immediately replaced them. No questions asked. I was shocked!”
“The Blue House has been a Bethesda staple for cool gift items for 30 years! The store moved from its original location further down Woodmont Ave. several years ago.
Once you walk into The Blue House, you will be enchanted by all of the local and region-themed gifts available ranging from decorative pillows to unique cookbooks, candles and other decorative items.
There is something for everyone in this quaint gift shop. Their children’s section is well-stocked with various toys, books and trinkets.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
