“My new favorite place in Bethesda ? The owner and his beautiful wife are amazing people. They have a great variety of high quality beer and wines as well as international wines. I was able to find Lebanese (Middle Eastern) beer ?? ? ? ???well as Armenian wines. ? ? pomegranate and cherry wines ?? ? .”
“This is a lovely gem of a store with a well though out selection of wine and beer. The employees are friendly and the prices are good. It's the perfect neighborhood spot to grab a bottle or two. They even deliver!”
“Talbert’s is a local institution. What it lacks in refinement it makes up in character. Been around since my grandparents day. Simple, efficient, and no frills. Usually an interesting sample of characters can be found playing lotto or picking up dry ice. The prices aren’t amazing but not terrible either for the area.”
“For DoorDash- store has always compensated or given me some sort of complimentary item when service was slow. Otherwise they’ve been timely and called when close by. All delivery drivers have always been very kind, polite, and conversational. But unfortunately I learned that the tip you leave on DoorDash does not go to the drivers. I tipped more for a specific delivery because of bad road conditions (snow, ice, horrible plow job) and the driver doesn’t get that tip I left for them. From now on I will have cash on hand for the driver and reconsider leaving a tip for the store if their delivery drivers aren’t seeing that. I love supporting a local business and will continue to order through this store but I wish the delivery drivers were getting the tip I left for them.”

“I don't believe someone took the time to turn all the cans in the coolers facing forward, so you can see what they are! It's like a 25 item jackpot times five,”
“This place is truly a one stop shop. They have everything you could ask for from a small market and their food is actually solid. Sometimes people are worried about getting sushi and a mart like this but they do it right! I grabbed sushi and a soda at a great price lol.”

“Great selection (huge variety, many options) and Reasonably priced! The staff are always super friendly and helpful! This store is a bit far from my mothers home but whenever I visit her it is the only Store I buy liquor from. They are so very welcoming”
“Great selection of wines, across-the-board. Competitive pricing and a nice selection of sale priced wines. A surprising, wide-ranging selection of panel-judged wines with ratings of 90+. Don’t let this smaller-sized store fool you. Best curated selection of wines for a store of this size I’ve ever shopped. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. My go-to place from now on!”
“Great store in Bethesda for buying alcohol. The man was super friendly and helped me find beer that I would like. He helped me pick out variety. This place was a quick stop with lots and lots of options for beer and wine. Will be returning here in the future for alcohol purchases.”
“I visited Harris Teeter today for the very first time, and I was honestly impressed. The store is huge and beautifully organized, with an incredible variety of products to choose from. Everything looked fresh, from the produce to the seafood and meats. They even had oysters, vegan alternatives, and a wide selection of chips and baking goods. My personal favorite section was the tinfish selection, which isn’t something you see everywhere.
The store also has a Starbucks, a pharmacy, and even a second floor, which made the experience feel more like a destination than just a grocery store. There were samples being handed out, which was a nice touch, and the weekly specials offered some great deals.
The atmosphere was clean, colorful, and very well-kept. Every associate I interacted with was friendly and welcoming, which made shopping there feel even better. Another highlight is the parking situation. They have an underground parking lot with a two-hour limit, which is really convenient and safe.
Overall, Harris Teeter exceeded my expectations. Between the fresh selection, friendly staff, wide variety, and thoughtful layout, it’s definitely a place I’ll be returning to.”
“Not sure how someone who left bad teviews here managed to have gotten bad experience from a mere process of looking at the shelves, picking wine or beer, approaching the cashier's counter, paying and leaving the store. I can only guess that they must have been doing something wrong and provoked the store manager to react in a negative way. For me, the experience was always smooth and good. I hope you remember to thank the cashier next time you shop there. I am sure they will reciprocate. Overall, I thought the store had a decent selection of wine and beer. All smaller wine/beer stores are slightly more expensive, and it would not be fair to blame them for that. Think positively. These guys are open until late daily, including weekends, and are located in a major shopping mall.”
“Great selection of beer and wine. Frequently, they have special deals so it's always great to shop here regularly. The staff and owner always friendly and seem to know what you are looking for. Highly recommended by John.”
