“Well stocked local shop with a huge variety of pantry staples, spices, fresh and frozen finds, and treats. The proprietor is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me pick out several candy bars to try and each one was delightful. I look forward to returning to try the adana kebab and pick up some other ingredients for a Turkish dish.”

“A new favorite! It's a cute little store run by a really nice couple. The sushi was great and there's a surprisingly large selection for such a small store. It's all Japanese groceries and snacks.”

“As far as I’m concerned, this is the best place to shop in and around Bethesda! We shop here at least twice a week. The secrets is out and this place is getting busy. I love their steaks but their poly face chicken, eggs, breakfast sausage and beef are a close second. The people here are passionate about what they do and provide fantastic customer service.”

“Beautiful place with very good people that are charming and very friendly. I enjoyed walking through the different boots and discussing with the people. It's really a place to visit and should definitely be in your top list of place to visit.”

“Great catering experience! Their location was very convenient to pick up a catering order for a Bethesda corporate office party. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the empanadas, croquettes, and bruschetta. Our order was ready early and prices were very fair for the area. Ordering online with pricing readily available made the experience easy!”

“I Trader Joe’s… but this one is a small, less well-stocked TJ’s than usual. I had a list… it included grape tomatoes. But the grape tomato medley cartons I was happy to find were ALL beginning to mold and even rot (sorry for that awful image you now have in your mind’s eye!) Everything but those remaining 6 containers of tomatoes were just fine, mind you. It’s summer… it happens.”

“Great store in Bethesda for buying alcohol. The man was super friendly and helped me find beer that I would like. He helped me pick out variety. This place was a quick stop with lots and lots of options for beer and wine. Will be returning here in the future for alcohol purchases.”

“I love a market that sells overpriced canned beverages and snacks. This sounds sarcastic, but I couldn’t be more sincere. I come to Foxtrot specifically for Bawi (pineapple or passion fruit flavor), Barbet and Torres (black truffle) chips. Foxtrot is the only retailer that I can find these brands at.Coffee bar: Coffee is SO much better than Starbucks. All the traditional coffee shop beverages are very good. Specialty beverages- I had high hopes for the tiramisu latte it was nothing revolutionary, but haven’t tried any other specialty drinkBreakfast tacos are excellent for the cost and ease. Be sure to ask for the salsas!”

“This is a smaller size 2 story Target store. There is a garage with free parking. At guest services you can pick up your orders & make purchases. They have curbside pickup and delivery and self checkout stations. They sell all the home goods, gift cards, grocery and snack & drink items you expect to find at all Targets as well as designer items, toys, games, clothing, health and beauty, mobile, seasonal and electronic items with some limitations due to the store's size. The employees are friendly & helpful. The store opens at 7 am. Tuesday mornings from 7 am to 8 am are seniors shopping hours. Mask wearing is required in the store. And yes I've personally observed an employee wiping down escalators and other spots of the store to keep them clean for the customers. I like shopping at Target. It's very convenient and reliable with everything you need at one store. The prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. I also like the price matching and the good variety of promotions on the things that you really need when you need them! Until next time be kind to each other! #target #grocery #clothing #homegoods #electronics @yelpdc”

“I love the prices here. Bethesda is not a cheap place to live, and I find the quality and value here a bit better than other grocery stores within biking distance. The fruits and vegetables are great and the store has almost everything I could want for all the varieties of foods I cook.”

“Overall good. Prefer this to the Whole Foods and the Safeway, and I think it's better than the Arligton Rd Giant.Employees are generally chill and helpful if you ask, which speaks to good managers and work environment. Well-staffed even near closing, so never worried about needing help.Pretty well-stocked, though occasionally an item will be out. Good selection as well, and has a meat, seafood counter, and deli. Like the fresh orange juice. If an item is bad they will let you return it.Only major complaint is that they don't let their employees off for Thanksgiving and Christmas. No supermarket is perfect, but overall I think they do a good job here. Hope it stays that way.”

“Best grocery store in Bethesda. Clean, good produce and meat. Always clean, a little more expensive than Giant or Safeway. Never enough checkers. Always have to wait for someone to man the customer service counter.”

“Small, narrow isles and super expensive items! Things that you can normally get half off but I guess you’re in an expensive area. Tiramisu is super good! Very similar to whoelsfood!”

“I love the Giant on Arlington Road. The store is clean and the food is fresh. Ms. Mary is an excellent manager and example of first rate customer service. Her employees are extra helpful balancing my cart load on my slow days. That makes it a great environment for seniors like me and others who shop during the day or off-hours. I highly recommend "my Giant" to others!”

“Love it. See my review of local Giant and Safeway below, which mentions WF...( I don't mind pulling up the Prime QR code from the Amazon web page. I will NOT load an app, though!)---Digital Coupon my foot!!!... I am not going to load your app on my phone Giant. Customer service desk would not honor the so called DC price, so I walked out of there... for good. Way to lose customers. Not the fault of the employees at the store. They are always nice. It's the MBA geniuses at corporate headquarters that come up with ideas like this who ought to be fired.LATER. Went from there to Safeway. They have the same idiotic concept.Went from there to Whole Foods instead. Probably paid more, but I'd rather give money to Bezos than be manipulated by Giant and Safeway.”

“Just wanted to give a KUDOS to the manager I encountered today, I could tell he was busy but still took the time to assist me while in the store. He was polite, professional and very helpful as I don’t usually frequent the store but my wife is out of town. I believe his name was Allton very helpful and I definitely appreciate the assist even though I know it seemed to be a lot going on.”

“I like this store, but there are some basic things it doesn't carry. Like whitefish salad, either acme or ivy city, and port salut cheese,. I also didn't see store brand monterey jack, orly cheddar, swiss, munster, mozzerella. The gouda selection is also lacking. They only have family size of most cheerios and lots of other cereal, which are too expensive. I like the seating area, which seemed fairly large and completely empty. There are 2 levels of parking on ground and basement, but you need to take elevator or stairs to get to store. No escalator. Unlike most safeways, the produce and deli/bakery are on opposite ends of the store. Usually they blend into each other. Generally good selection. Central location walking distance to bethesda row, bethesda shopping center, Bradley shopping center including strosniders, bradley food and drug, breads unlimited, etc.”

“I enjoy Giant Foods. Good prices, good selection of gluten free, dairy free, soy free foods. When I'm not in Central VA, this is my preferred place to get snacks and some Katz and Udi branded products. I'm staying away from the Schar brand since some of their items have gluten (croissant), soy (wafers) and dairy. I like the layout, things are easy to find and they have an easy to use reward program. Lots of fresh fruits and vegetables and they sell Chobani Extra Creamy Oat Milk.”

“I have no idea where these negative reviews come from. Everytime I call I get great information, and when I came to pick up my script today I was told the team had figured out how to give me the lowest price possible - even lower than GoodRx. I couldn't be more pleased. Don't believe the naysayers. ?”

“We hadn't been to this store for many years, since my mother had moved away from this area. We took advantage of being very nearby two days ago and we stocked up on a huge amount of non-perishable items - including some incredibly-delicious cornbread - plus spinach quiche, which we ate en route back to NYC. The selection of items throughout this (huge) store was *superb* and everything was organized really nicely. Also, the cashier was exceptionally friendly - and the manager who we complimented about the cashier was also friendly.”
