“This Trader Joe's is large, well stocked, and spotlessly clean. I saw several workers thoroughly enjoying themselves, humming along to the music in the store. Everyone I encountered was friendly and helpful. I was only shopping for a few things, but it was such a pleasant store experience. Best TJ's I've been to, and I'd definitely stop by again if in the area!”

“I was just there. Despite the small space, yet it had a big variety of Turkish food.. probably the most i have seen since I moved to MD. The place is very clean and the owner is extremely helpful, friendly, and charming. Anyone who loves the real Turkish and middle eastern food should go there. Thank you Mino the courteous owner”

“The staff are this location is REALLY friendly and helpful. Typically, when the weather is nice, I go to the Sunday Bethesda Farmer's Market first and then walk 5 minutes to The Organic Butcher. Weekends, of course, are busier, but the wait is never long, and it's nice to look at all the specialty products.

If you're into hot sauce, they make in-house a really nice fermented hot sauce - follow them on social media so you know when the next batch drops.”

“The staff at Joe’s are always great! The items they sell are often their own brand, and they are all top quality with a very generous return policy. I used to buy so many of the delicious dessert items they offer - so many ways to eat chocolate! These days, my main thing is the pistachios, almonds, and walnuts - theirs somehow always taste better to me than what I get elsewhere. Almond butter price is much better than any grocery. The flyer is fun, the seasonal items are fun. It is a fun place.

I have the good fortune to walk there. They have a parking lot that always seems busy - it can take a minute or two to get in. They have someone managing the lot to keep things running smoothly.

In store, even when the line seems infinite, they keep it moving by having many open registers, with friendly but efficient people working them. I have been there many times and always come out with a smile.”

“I’ve lived in Bethesda for 24 years and, honestly I can say that I’ve only visited the market a handful of times. I wanted to buy something special and different to my 30 year old son who loves dressing up for work and dates (girls just love how gentlemanly he is?). I thought “ties”. So I went to Neiman Marcus, Dior and Channel stores at the Galería Mall in Tyson’s Corner. First, they are almost non existent; second, the few ties these stores have on display they ALL look just the same, nothing special, yes they are silk but again they ALL look the same, regardless of the brand. Price Tag $95-270. There is a suit store downstairs and they have ties but their quality and structure it’s just poor. Price tag $35. I was ready to look on-line and order from somewhere in Italy when a friend of mine called and asked to meet for coffee at the Starbucks on Wisconsin Ave- right across the women’s market. We grabbed our coffees and walked, next thing I know we entered into the women’s market my friend bought pastries and as we are about to exit through the side door I stumbled into these ties!! The lady (very friendly, educated and sophisticated- I must say) was finishing making a tie. She asked me to feel the quality and difference of the fabrics she uses: Italian,
American and Scottish designers’ wool, and even some eco-fashion French linen. They are really, really beautiful and handmade! I bought a couple immediately because since they are handmade they are unique and not too many, therefore exclusive. I’ve got my Italian ties made in Bethesda.”

“I wasn't sure what to expect when I had to go down lots of stairs to the main store, but I was pleasantly surprised. The bathrooms were immaculately clean. The store itself was well-stocked. A few workers greeted me and asked how I was and if I needed anything. I was only shopping for one item (Berger cookies), and I found them! I also grabbed some grapes because they looked so fresh and delicious. This is a great store.”

“Parish Is the reason why I continue to shop here my mother, my father, my entire family enjoy shopping here the experience he provides is exceptional. Unlike any other grocery store I’ve ever visited. I urge anyone within this area to ask for Mr. Parrish when they’re shopping.”

“Great store in Bethesda for buying alcohol. The man was super friendly and helped me find beer that I would like. He helped me pick out variety. This place was a quick stop with lots and lots of options for beer and wine. Will be returning here in the future for alcohol purchases.”

“A good store. Similar to Lidl store in Germany and other countries. Has many items from Europe. Many food items cost less. It's bakery is on site and wonderful, very inexpensive for the US. We loved its freshly baked European breads, croissants, etc. Sometimes I come just to get it's freshly baked stuff. There are some general items such as kitchen supplies, home maintenance staff, some clothes, seasonable stuff - limited selection and available just for limited time. Just regular everyday things. Cost less than typical price. Usually quality is good for the price. Fun to see what is offered since it changes every week. The store on Georgetown rd is convenient and clean. Free.parking in the underground parking garage.”

“Small, narrow isles and super expensive items! Things that you can normally get half off but I guess you’re in an expensive area. Tiramisu is super good! Very similar to whoelsfood!”

“I really love this Safeway because it's very close to my old house and it has a lot of good selections. Especially things I enjoy cooking and baking with at home. I'm hoping that this Safeway gets renovations at some point because it needs upgrades which will improve customer experience. When this Safeway gets renovated hopefully soon or in the future it will be very beneficial to the community. I wish that this grocery store got renovations a few years ago or before the pandemic started. Hopefully it will get a lot of upgrades when it starts getting remodeled, which would include the ceiling which will need a significant amount of work to get done since it is not in good shape right now. Also the bathrooms should get renovated along with the pharmacy.”

“Some of the best grocery store staffers ever! Every employee I came across was very helpful and patient, going the extra step to make sure I was all set. Purchased some custom cut thick steaks for a family party, the order was quickly processed and the steaks turned out great. Convenient parking, grounds and store were all very clean and well kept. Not from the area but will definitely shop at this store when in the Bethesda area.”

“this store knows how to take care of their produce. They have plenty of selection and it’s good quality.
The staff is very nice. I will support any grocery store that has a number of cashiers on duty. I’ve moved over to this giant from another one because it is so grading on the nerves to go to a machine and be yelled at every day.. this store also understands the importance of keeping jobs. “My local Whole Foods Market is a smaller version but they do a great job of staying current on items their customers are looking for. I shop here for Tessamae's salad dressing, generous, well priced cuts of Jarlsberg cheese, my favorite but obscure coconut yogurt and every flavor of kombucha.”

“Despite always being short staffed (take note Safeway), all of the pharmacists and techs are great. Safeway, give the pharmacists more help! Oftentimes when I pick up my prescription, there’s no tech helping! I suspect this is not a bug, but a feature.”

“After seeing a number of negative reviews I wasn't expecting much. However, the pharmacist and the young woman working the cashier went above and beyond to help fill my prescription. I had some issue with my insurance and the girl at the cash register took the effort to and put all my information, and when we still had difficulties the pharmacist came out and tried to assist, provided very valuable information to help get the insurance added to my prescription, ended up saving me $400. Definitely this is a very good pharmacy with plenty of staff that are knowledgeable and attentive to customers. Don't believe the reviews who got irritated because they couldn't buy over the counter medication at the pharmacy ?”

Had some challenges to get the prescription filled but they gave clear guidance and instructions and fill in the prescription immediately when they received the corrected prescription from doctor. MS. Truoe was professional, warm and friendly! Strongly recommend to anyone! Thank you!”
