“Very nice and helpful staff who seem to genuinely care to both help you and keep the line moving. The location does need some care from the USPS real estate department and does some renovations in the building. ...at least replace the damaged safety glass.”

“In case anyone was wondering, the post office is open until 5 p.m. Both postal workers are extremely friendly and helpful. I had a very good experience with them”
“I haven't had to go to the post office in years, but today I did. The ladies there were so helpful, friendly, and professional. HUGE thank you to the women who helped me, she was so knowledgeable and patient. She helped me get everything together that I needed. I highly recommend this post office if you need to get anything done and want impeccable customer service.”
“I had a great experience at this location getting my first passport. I arrived about 25min early for my appointment, anticipating a line, but it was quiet and they were able to process my application quickly without any issues. Both of the staff members working there were friendly and helpful. They are clearly doing their best while this location is understaffed and I appreciated it.”

“This office is great! Employee was sooo helpful. I was stressed about mailing back my passport but she told me which envelope to use and where to write all the information. It was a breeze.”
“Amazing customer service. There was an error on a package address I had shipped from Europe, so USPS marked it as return to sender. I went to the office, explained what happened, and they redelivered it after hours! Thank you, Mr. Wright!! God bless you, and God bless the USPS!”

“I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Kay for her incredible patience and kindness. Being new to a specific mail procedure, I arrived at the office with a stack of envelopes and a lot of questions. Kay took the time to guide me step-by-step, ensuring I understood how to fill them out correctly. Her pleasant demeanor, great conversational skills, and willingness to go above and beyond truly made my experience exceptional. I couldn't have asked for a better person to assist me—thank you, Kay!”
“God do I miss when this place was 24 hours (current hours below)!!! Wonky, little-known aspect of DC culture, but it was a fantastic convenience that let you shift a key errand til the wee hours with no lines in a fairly elegant setting. Ok, maybe it's not the Ritz, but it beat the loud, cramped options elsewhere. Even though it's no longer open around the clock, it still offers better hours and more competent staff than any other post office I've ever been to. Glad they're still around.
As of May 27, 2025, hours as follows:
Monday - Friday: 9:00 am to 7:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Sundays/Holidays: CLOSED”
“Only good post office in the area. The experience is just neutral but that's good enough to bring me almost to tears compared to the other horror show post office in the area (Gallatin)”
“USPS always gets roasted but honestly gotta give credit when it’s good. Clerk #13 (yeah that’s literally what the receipt says instead of a name lol) was amazing. Such good vibes, super sweet and actually made the whole trip feel chill. If every visit was like this I’d leave 5 stars every time!!”

“Definitely my new go to post office. Ms. Jackson made the entire process smooth and was very quick. She was very nice and knowledgeable about what I needed. I also made sure to show her all the reviews about her on Google lol”
“The post office has been getting a lot of slack these days. But I just had to give praise to the young lady that runs this post office location (and by herself), Cheron. I guess I arrived as she was reopening from her lunch break (oh yeah, the main issue I have with this site is the hour lunch closure, and the lack of parking) and there had to be 5-6 people waiting to be serviced. And we (me being the last to be helped) were all in and out of there in no more than 6-7 minutes. I've never seen anything like it. I've gone to other post offices where there were 2 or more people working the counter and it took longer than that. Very efficient, and I could tell she knows her stuff. I will be using this location more often.”
“Convenient location
Kind staff that know what they're doing
I wish they hired a few more folks cause it can get busy with passport stuff.
A+ store”
“By far one of the best USPS locations in DC wish this locations was my local USPS store since it’s couple blocks down the street…don’t know why north capital is my local USPS…..but for sure will be using this location for shipping anything moving forward……not only were they professional but they even walked me through each step of the way to send an International package as well…….highly recommended location and will be back for sure……and as soon as I paid and they scanned my package I got the status update right away on my USPS app……not like north capital which never updated my status tracking and lost my package even after paying full price for tracking an envelope……a freaking envelope I laid tracking for still is missing and still has not been scanned……please avoid north capital location for shipping anything out……”
“I had an incredible experience with this post office last weekend that I want to share. I had called the customer line because a package's tracking information had been marked as delivered the day before, but they the status reverted to distribution center that morning. I was told that it is a system issue that packages get marked as delivered and the current status was correct, but she was unable to tell me why it was sitting at the distribution center (Takoma Park post office) and not out for delivery, so she put in a claim ticket. About 15 minutes later I got a call on my cell phone and it was the supervisor at that location, Ms. Foxx, asking if I had received my package. I told her that I had not and then she had Ms. Lee check in the packages on site and they located my package. This was 4:45 p.m. on a Saturday, so it was apparent it wasn't being delivered that day and it was a gift for father's day the next day. I asked if I could pick it up and was told that I could, if I got there in the next 15 minutes before they locked the back loading door and left. I made it and they both helped me load the large, heavy box into my car and absolutely made my day/week/year. The company that I purchased the gift from through Amazon had decided to ship via the slowest and cheapest means, so I couldn't blame the postal service for the package having not arrived, but the level of customer service to call me directly and then help find a solution was beyond my wildest expectations. Please do give the overworked staff at this location a break when you are frustrated with the long lines, as my experience there has been that they are always professional and do their job very well, even when they don't have a second to catch their breath in between customers.”
“This is a federal building. No packages are allowed to enter without Govt ID. Regular Post Office business is allowed by public, ie stamps, envelopes and passports”

“While I very much like the USPS employee that is typically at the window. She's extremely friendly and helpful. I have a major complaint with the fact that regardless of which Saturday I go, the door is never unlocked despite both the door and website displaying these supposed PO Box Access hours of 10AM - 2PM. I arrived at 1155 this morning and the same foolishness. Its extremely frustrating and it's professonial. Do beeter USPS!”
“La Vonya is an absolute joy and light in this world, we must protect her at all costs. I didn’t know my butt from my elbow when I came in but she got me right as rain and then I was on my merry way, happier to have met her and the amazing service she provided!!! Promote La Vonya!!!”
“Overall, the staff has always been friendly and cooperative. I have lived in Clinton for 20+ years and have never had a bad experience there. The one exception is sometimes there is a very long line - some days are busier than others!”
“Cici and grandma are both helpful! I’ll never forget one lady who is power tripper to a customer. Well that customer has a little attitude so good for him. Well gotta support and be kind to our people. In the future, we might lose them and get everything automated.”

“I like this post office. The lady who works there is very nice, I have never had any mail lost and there is seldom a long line. I also like the selection of greeting cards that they have for sale. I noticed several negative reviews and I felt that I had to add a positive one because my experience here has always been positive. I hope yours will be too. Thanks.”
“Regular post office, when I came in, was there no waiting line . Servis provides nice gentlemen . I can't complain about thys place. I dont know why there is so much negative feedback.”
“The staff are always so friendly and respectful. It's a pleasure to visit this Post Office and I'm so grateful that it's my local one. There's never a long wait. Best USPS experience ever!”

“The mail service is mostly ok, but if I get more than one piece of mail in my box it's all crammed in... like folded..bent... crammed in the mailbox. There's no excuse for that!”
“Margo was a great assistance. I really appreciate everyone at the College Park office from those in the store to the postal carriers! They live up to the slogan "whether rain, sleet, or snow" they're always there!”
“Haven't been to this location in quiet some time. The atmosphere and staff was horrible. It was all new staff in there today. They were all pleasant, cheerful and helpful! Was a nice change! Hope they stick around!”
“Great and quick service. Almost never has a line. All the staff are hard working and friendly. Seems like all the bad reviews are from 3-5 years ago so Im assuming the staff was terrible back then.”
“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”
“95% are negative comment .Before I arrived here I was thinking to take sleeping 10hrs but things was changed within less than 30mins checked in and unloaded
Thank you!”
