After our former “weekend-warrior” chain service center closed, we asked a transmission shop (who was currently servicing one of our vehicles) about an honest, reasonable, and competent mechanic -- they referred us to J&H. From the first visit, I was thoroughly impressed. From the owner to the mechanics to the office staff, everyone is patient, helpful, knowledgeable, and honest (which is a VERY rare trait in society these days).

Unless they’re crazy swamped, they provide a digital/electronic car condition report at each service inclusive of pictures. Yes, you heard that right – so not only do they tell you what needs done, but this shows you... giving you an added level of assurance. They proactively monitor various aspects of your vehicle as well as tending to the items you’ve requested them repair/replace. Additionally, when they’ve made service recommendations, they’ve been honest about whether it’s something that needs done now, sooner than later, or if it’s something that can safely wait to be addressed at another time if you’re like us and trying to budget for car maintenance. If you’re uncertain how something impacts your vehicle, they’ll patiently explain what you need done and why it’s important.

We’ve been customers of J&H for several years now, trusting them with multiple cars of ours that we rely on heavily to commute to work, chauffeur our kids and their friends to/from school and events, and to trek long distances for vacation/family. I value their work and their perspective to the extent that I take any new vehicle in our household to them to inspect and I ensure before any long road trips that we get our vehicle into them for service to ensure a smooth, uneventful trek.

“I recently bought a brand new 2025 civic sport from heritage Honda and I very please with the whole experience. This is the second new honda that I have purchased from them and both times it was an excellent experience. They really "saved the day" for me because I came to them from another dealership which I had a nightmare of an experience and they were able to rebound everything in a positive direction. My sales rep was Erin and she was AWESOME ! From the jump, she was very helpful, accommodating, and not pushy AT ALL. One thing that will push me away faster than anything is when a sales associate is being pushy or forceful. She was super patient with me and even when I had mentioned getting another vehicle at another dealership, she just said, "I understand, you have to do what makes you happy and what's in your best interest". That right there told me that her goal was just to see me satisfied with whatever decision I made and I can respect that 100%.

My credit is not the best and still they were able to get me financed on a brand new civic and my payment was not crazy but was right around what I expected it to be. She had me test drive a pearl white civic sport with the black wheels and accents and i loved it ! I left that day with the car and I am very happy with it. 2 tires fixed. 2 nails. 1 hour. $80. Called 1.5 hours before they close on Saturday. As I said, top notch.”

“So! I was recommended by a friend to go here and want to recommend to everyone that my experience was as advertised! They don't take appointments, so arrive just before or at 8am when they open for the opportunity of same day service. If not, the later you arrive the better chance it won't be ready until the next business day.

I was quoted at Goodyear for an exhaust leak $1400, as they said the whole thing needed to be replaced. Well, my friend heard that and laughed and pointed me here. They gave me a quick estimate after looking under the vehicle and it was $220! I was blown away. I left the vehicle and three hours later I'm being called to be advised it's ready. When I arrived, no change in price, honesty and great work. They welded my faulty section of the muffler and I was back ob the road with a car that went from sounding like an 18 wheel dump truck to an electric vehicle, which it is not.

My only regret was delaying the repair thinking it would be at least 50% of what the previous shop quoted. These guys handle their biz, to which they'll have mine for the foreseeable future.”

“I scheduled for an oil change and the morning I was dropping off the car, the radiator sprung a major leak. AutoWerkes evaluated the issue and replaced the radiator the following day. That is, fitting in the repair immediately into their workload. I purchased the BMW 335i from them in 2016 and they continue to be my sole source repair shop. “I took my car here last week with some fuel injector issues. They called me with numerous updates. They provided me with pictures and detailed descriptions of the issue. They even do thorough check on your car of what is good on your car what is moderate, and what needs service for your own convenience, self knowledge, and safety. “I had 2 tires replaced here, recommended by my car mechanic who I trust very much. When I first got to the shop. I explained to the mechanic as we were walking to my car, that I had a few tire leaks and I needed them to find the faulty tires.

When I got the car back, I left the next day for a 10 hr road trip up north. Halfway during the trip, I stopped for the night to sleep. In the morning my one old tire was completely flat, sitting on the ground. I was able to get air in it and continue the trip, but I needed air every 2-3 days in that tire.

This continued for a week until I drove back home on the same tire.

When I got back to Baltimore I took my car to my mechanic who found a rip in the tire.
I called interstate to explain that I would like one of my old tires put back on and the issue resolved because I explained to the initial mechanic that there was other issues with my tires besides the tread. They said they didn’t see a note by the mechanic I spoke to. But that they would look for a tire for me. They ended up doing everything they could to get me squeezed in and to resolve the issue to the point where I didn’t have to use my spare anymore.

Exceptional service and the guys really care. As a tradesman myself, I have a lot of respect for these guys and their problem solving skills.”
