“The last at the counter was nice. The problem is that the machine they have to skip the long line doesn't have stamps or stamped envelopes or unstamped envelopes for sale. ??☹️??”

“Seems to be open to the public now.The staff at this post office are the most helpful and kind individuals I have ever encountered! We mailed our wedding invites late today (10/12) and the man that picks up the mail waited for us. The woman that helped us behind the counter was equally as nice and helpful. If the post office does impact bonuses both of them are highly deserving of one for over the top service! Thank you!!!!”

“I've been here a few times over the past year and every time, the staff have been incredibly helpful. I went to mail a passport renewal today and had messed something up, and the staff member working the counter was very patient and funny and helped me fix it. Would not recommend other post offices, but this one is great! Would go out of my way to mail from here.”

“I love this post office! It’s clean, fast, and the service from the staff is amazing. I previously went to the location at 14th and U and the service is terrible there. I walk twice as far to go to this location.”

“This is my favorite post office between PG and Charles Co.Ms. Robin has such a refreshing energy, is very knowledgeable, and makes time to get to know her community. She chats up everyone, knows people by name. She’s usually in there alone and she manages that building like a superhero.I’m a small business owner so I’m in there often dropping off packages, sometimes I bring my toddler and he’s always so excited to go see Ms. Robin because she engages with him while handling the post office. She’s incredible. He drew her some art one day in a long line and she posted it to her wall. She’s got that mix of professional and community elder down pact. And it’s not just her, on the off chance she isn’t there, her peers are also very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and community driven. Best post office! I genuinely dread having to take my packages to any other post office when I’m in Waldorf or elsewhere, they can be so rude and unkind. But not here (:”

“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”

“The mail service is mostly ok, but if I get more than one piece of mail in my box it's all crammed in... like folded..bent... crammed in the mailbox. There's no excuse for that!”

“This review is well overdue but I had to express how pleased I was with the service from Ms Joyce Newberne. She was fantastic, she was very helpful and informative and by far one of the kindest people I’ve met. She definitely made my experience the best it have ever been when going to the post office. Thank you so much, the world needs more of you.”

“I've been coming to this Post Office frequently. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I've been trying to leave an experience rating on the Post Office web site but they don't recognize the zip code that's associated with this Post Office.”

“I like this post office. The lady who works there is very nice, I have never had any mail lost and there is seldom a long line. I also like the selection of greeting cards that they have for sale. I noticed several negative reviews and I felt that I had to add a positive one because my experience here has always been positive. I hope yours will be too. Thanks.”

“Had to mail a package and looked up post offices near me and was surprised to find out that there was one so close. The lady working there will is very helpful and I was able to get my package mailed off without a hitch. No crowds at all so you can get in and get out quickly. It is open Tues- Fri from 9 - 1 and you don't have to go on the naval post to get to the post office.”

“This post office is inside the USDA building, in the sub-basement of the South Building. This building is open to the public, but you'll need a valid photo ID and your bags will be passed through an xray machine. You'll also need to enter at one of the designated visitors entrances, such as the one closest to the Smithsonian metro station. Ask the security guards for directions to the post office once you are inside. Beyond the fact that it's hard to find, it's a post office. Friendly staff, and never a line.”

“I went to the post office needing help applying for another passport. The woman that assisted me at this location today was amazing. It is clear she is very knowledgable of the ins and outs of the passport requirements. She was not only a wealth of information but patient and kind. The appointment was straightforward to book online and it didn’t take long to get everything squared away in person.”

“Ms. Yvette provided excellent service when we renewed my son’s passport. He was bored and wanted to be in school with his friends. She was understanding and incredibly sweet with him.In addition, she was incredibly helpful with the nuts and bolts of filing the paperwork correctly and what to expect.”

“I always forget that this Post Office exists. Maybe because it is back in the cut off of Watkins Park Drive and can't really be seen from the main road. As far as I know it is full service and it is never crowded. I had to go in during this girl Rona and it was virtually empty, which was completely different from others that I passed that many folks waiting in lines outside. Of course masks were required and 6ft lines were but in place in addition to limit on who is allowed in the lobby. I have always been pleased with the staff in this location. I will continue to return of course when remember!”

“Probably one of the best on base post offices I’ve been to. Can’t speak on the other workers there but the good looking light skin lady at the front knows her stuff. She is patient with customers and they all seem to like her. The service has been quick and easy my last 3 visits.”

“As of February 12, 2022: I had a BMW rear cover to mail and the seemingly experienced staffer had no concept of customer service. She was quickly, and professionally coached on how to weigh the odd shaped package. Wow! I was impressed with Tracy the Postmaster as she not only made sure the package was correctly weighed and measured, but also polished up some much needed training of a staff member! We pay a lot of taxes in PG County so to see a government office run at a higher standard is commendable. Great turnaround at this location!”

“I only use prepaid postage (PirateShip is your friend), so ever since they installed the self service kiosk (which happened a few months ago), I've had zero issues with this location. My issue before the kiosk was that there was/is almost always a line, but now my stops here are fast and have not had any issues. I scan my packages at the kiosk and then drop them off at the end of the counter. I'm in and out within a minute or two max.Fyi, the self service kiosk is to the left as you enter the post office.”

“I always have an extremely positive customer service experiences whenever I come to my neighborhood post office! The hours are very wonky but that’s not the service reps fault. USPS please continue to support this post office and give them more service options and better hours!”

“This particular location is very personal and the staff are always ready with a warm greeting. This is a small location serving southwest Prince George's County. As with any USPS location, a delay can be expected on occasion. But if a wait is inevitable, it is pleasant, because the Patron's are just as polite as the staff.”
