“I absolutely love coming to Grocery Outlet in Wilde Lake with my mom. It's kind of become our little tradition. The store always feels welcoming, and we can take our time browsing without feeling rushed. One of the biggest reasons we shop here is that they carry halal meat, which isn't always easy to find at regular grocery stores. The selection is solid, and everything we've purchased has been fresh and of good quality. The prices are another huge plus. You can find great deals on everyday essentials, snacks, and even name-brand items for way cheaper than other stores in the area. We always leave feeling like we saved a good amount. If you're in the Wilde Lake area and looking for affordable groceries, especially halal options. This spot is definitely worth checking out. It's a simple store, but it gets the job done and keeps us coming back.”

“What a great find! Local fresh produce, meat, cheese, honey, spices and more! Great prices.

Their meal kits are awesome. Everything you need to make quick, delicious, plentiful, nutritious vegetarian and meat entrees. Very inexpensive for what you get!
Staff is friendly and very helpful.

This program also offers 1/2 priced food and meal kits for people who qualify for food stamps or have SSDI. A tremendous service to our residents in need. Way to go HoCo!”

“For the first time I used the app to shop and pick up on the date I needed to have these items by. Loved it. The app gives the option to add items up until the time they start to process your order to be ready by pick up date. I will be using it again. As soon as I got there and I put that in on the app they came out with my order 5 minutes later. So far no complaints. Great job!!”

“My son filled a prescription and other than the long line, they were able to fill it pretty quickly. We didn't have to go back later to pick it up which was nice.”

“Sometimes the fresh fruits and veggies are a little overripe or moldy, not sure if they've been sitting out too long before stocking, just something to beware of. Otherwise everything else is usually a great price and quality”

“Fresh selection of fruits and vegetables ?. Reasonable prices and selection of goods. Great discounts. Coupons, coupons baby. Did you coupon today? Be back soon.”

“Excellent. Patrick, Beverly and Eric are an awesome team. (Sorry if I forget anyone else.) They are amazing. They are friendly and efficient, they go out of the way to make contact with your Dr. when your refills are out. I go to this pharmacy because of them, not just because it is convenient. Even thoughout the pandemic they made sure there was adequate coverage of staff. They have some very irate and rude customers, but nevertheless they look past the customers attitude, to try and accommodate their needs. Even though getting any pre-authorization for meds has been a real pain, (because alot of insurance places, even Medicaid y. don't have their usual staff, this slows things down tremendouslBut they do whatever they can to work round that. When my child was sick they worked quickly to fill her Rx for an antibiotic. Thankyou guys,,,. As Tupac wisely said "You are appreciated"?”

“It's pricey but the produce, selection, staff, and checkout process are all excellent. Harris Teeter for the bulk of our goods (they're the fairest grocery store of them in these parts) and then Whole Foods for some nice to haves.

And it's in what's quite possibly the crown jewel commercial real estate section of Columbia, MD at Lake Kittamaqundi next to Merriweather Post Pavilion and across from the Mall in Columbia.”

“This giant is fully stocked When I needed fresh corn from the back, the manger did it graciously and efficiently. Self checkout out is quick and the ladies working there are very friendly and helpful. The minus star is the charity workers harassing me when I entered the store.”

“I've lived in this neighborhood for almost a decade, and Sam's has consistently been my go-to for a quick stop on the way to work or on the way home. These guys are awesome- there's a blizzard and everything else is closed? No worries, these guys will have their lot plowed, their sidewalk shoveled, and fresh coffee on. They're in a perfect location, just a short stroll from any of the apartment or townhouse complexes, and not only do they know their regulars, they're compassionate and trusting enough that when I forgot my wallet the other day, they insisted that I go ahead and take my purchases and just stop back in whenever I had a chance to settle up. There are occasionally teenagers hanging out outside, but not nearly as many or as often as a few years ago, and I've never had an issue with them or been bothered by them in any way, and the store has a policy for how many students can be in the store at a time, so often I think they're just waiting for friends who are shopping. The prices are consistent with other convenience stores, so while you can definitely get things cheaper other places, you're not paying any more here than you would at 7-11 or Royal Farms, and they have a way more interesting selection. You might not find every single flavor of potato chips ever created, but you might stumble across lime flavored wafer cookies and decide they're your new favorite snack.”

“Matthew and Carlos offered outstanding service. Despite upper management setting them up for failure, they provided friendly and timely service to the best of their abilities. I was okay with the wait as they were upfront and honest with me. Whoever manages them could do a better job to ensure they have enough labor for the availability they offer or cut back on how many customers they say can be served at once. Credit to Matthew and Carlos for persevering with a smile.”

REVIEW UPDATE!!!!!!!!
Wow, not sure what transpired at the Walmart on Dobbin Rd, but I wrote a not-so-favorable review of this Walmart a few months ago, but after visiting this location, I am genuinely impressed by the improvements. The store is noticeably cleaner, better organized, and far less cluttered than before. Even more importantly, the staff were engaging, helpful, and truly hospitable which really stood out.

Again, I’m not sure if there have been changes in management or operations, but whatever adjustments were made are very noticeable and very much appreciated. It’s refreshing to see a location listen to feedback and make real, positive changes.

Keep up the GREAT WORK!

Original Review
Returning to my home town after 23 years was quite a shocker. Neighborhoods are run down, lawn care and home maintenance are almost nonexistent is some areas.

To top things off the Walmart off of Dobbin Rd, has to be the filthiest Walmart I’ve ever seen!!!!

Do better Columbia, what happen, this use to be a very nice place to live and raise a family!”

“I have avoided this pharmacy for literal years after a long string of bad experiences. I would send my mother instead of going myself to avoid the entire thing. BUT TODAY I had to go in for an important RX myself and Robin M was absolutely amazing. She greeted me with a friendly smile, and I saw the grace with which she treated the customer before me. She was so kind, efficient, and her genuine customer service was like sunshine. She made me smile on a hard day. Thank you Robin M you have changed my mind, I am grateful they found you.”

“Store is generally clean and well stocked, but there's a lot of times when they don't have carts or baskets in the front door for you to grab before shopping.”

“I like having different options and varieties of items these warehouses offer and the monthly specials/coupons that they have as well. This warehouse though always seems short staffed and under stocked. The prices are competitive for the most part and the store is clean but they definitely have room for improvement. I will say the staff they do have... most are helpful and friendly.”
