“Went to this GameStop a couple days ago to trade in my Spider-Man edition PS5 and upgrade to the PS5 Pro during the Pro Week promotion. The total trade-in value came out to a little over $450, which made the upgrade much easier.
The staff were extremely patient and helped me reset my old console in store, which I really appreciated. We also had a nice casual conversation while everything was processing, and the overall experience felt very friendly and relaxed.
I mentioned that I didn’t get a chance to preorder Resident Evil 9 Requiem from GameStop, so I missed the promotional tote bag, and the employee actually gave me one for free, which was a really nice surprise.
Shoutout to Darius and Allen (sorry if I spelled the names wrong!) for the great service. This is definitely one of the better GameStop locations I’ve been to.”

“Neat little tabletop gaming store that host events regularly. Staff were very nice and helpful and you can tell they all genuinely love and care about their jobs.”
“So somehow I never actually left a review for game Kastle, despite playing Warhammer there weekly for almost 2 years so here's me rectifying that!
This store is amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming staff, great community, great selection of games (they have so many board games), and a very good selection of paints (at least for Warhammer, don't know about non-wargame applications). The fact that it's a bit out of the way for me coming from Bethesda is outweighed by the fact that it's just an amazing game store. If you're interested in any of the games they hold regular events for, please consider going and supporting them.”
“The staff are very helpful and friendly. They help me with everything I needed. Get my Traxxas Maxx I would recommend them to anyone. It's worth the ride. I drove 41 minutes and I was in and out. Their website is very helpful too it lets you know what they have in stock and not in stock I will be visiting again soon. Thank you. Hobby works”
“This art supply store was super stocked with all materials I needed for my college level painting class. The two helping me, Cheryl and Georgia, were both so kind and understanding as it was my first time being in the store helping me find my items and eve giving me a free tote bad. While checking out, Cheryl even signed me up to get 10% off all purchases because I am a student. I will definitely be coming back to restock my supplies later this semester!”
“Smelled weird, not like a craft store. Parking validation is nonexistent and have to pay 8 dollars. But it’s convenient since the garage elevator leads you straight into the store. Employees were nice as well. Well stocked.”
“Nice little place with a fun selection of kits, mostly military Tamiya. Primer i got from here is the cheapest iv been able to find yet works better than any iv used before.”
“This is a fantastic hobby store. It is the only hobby store that is metro accessible and within driving distance in the DMV area. They have a large amount of tables that can serve as tabletop gaming tables or card tables, they have a huge range of products going from your classic Warhammer to historicals, Star Wars, and other genres. In addition to that, the staff pride themselves on creating an inclusiveness atmosphere where all are welcome to game, and cleanliness of the store. I highly recommend for anyone on the DMV area to make this store your hobby place.”
“House of Cards in Silver Spring is hands-down the benchmark for what a local card shop should be. The staff knows their inventory inside and out — from vintage staples to the latest hobby boxes — and they treat every customer like a valued collector, whether you’re chasing high-end hits or just starting out.
What sets this place apart is the culture. It’s not just a store; it’s a genuine community hub for collectors. You can tell the owners have built their business around passion and integrity, not just transactions. The pricing is fair, the selection is always fresh, and the atmosphere is pure hobby energy — no gimmicks, no attitude.
If you’re in the DMV area and serious about the hobby, this is a must-visit. House of Cards delivers the perfect mix of professionalism, product knowledge, and old-school card shop vibe in an updated store that’s hard to find these days.”
“We Had a great experience at Hobby Lobby!
We came to this store on Saturday 3/14/26 mid afternoon, and everything was excellent. The store is very well organized and well kept. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in, which made a great first impression.
Every aisle was clean and easy to navigate, making shopping really enjoyable. The cashier who checked me out was friendly and nice, which added to the overall positive experience.
Definitely a great store, I’ll be back!”
“Well, they didn’t have the specific glue I was looking for – crafters pic, the staff there was extremely friendly and helpful. I was making a purchase for a class I’m teaching and had an tax exempt certificate. Although it took us half an hour to get me checked out, Two of the staff member learned how to process a tax exempt sale. So it was a win all the way around.”
“Michaels at Silver Spring was a treat for my grandson and me.
We particularly went to purchase art supplies and we were satisfied with our purchases.
The service/ reception person
was also helpful with info about the store, our first time visit”
