“My 20-year-old Ford Focus suffered some damage that I thought I could fix myself so I bought the replacement parts only to discover when I got it apart that the steel front bumper bar is spot-welded in place, not bolted as I assumed. I just needed someone with the right tools to grind off the old spot welds to remove the old bumper bar, position the new part correctly and then weld it into place.King Auto Body was the fifth place I visited and I found that 2 of them work only on vehicles where an insurance company is paying, the boss at one was not there when he said he would be on two occasions and another was intent on ripping me off.King Auto Body were quite willing to do only what I needed and charged just $150 if I removed the bumper cover so they had clear access.
