“I went in for the first time since they have a lot of good reviews. Came on 4/20 for the gummy bear gummies and theyre really actually strong. I def recommend getting those gummies from here!! Thank you for the quality!”
“I highly recommend Mansoor for MD state inspection at Shell . I brought my 2016 Highlander for state inspection and the only problem was the exhaust pipe leakage.”
“These are the best sandwiches we’ve had during our stay in the DMV area! Service was great and the chips and drink selections go great with the sandwiches. Highly recommend!!”
“The perfect local market deli spot for fresh sandwiches, salads, and all the snacks. They also have a large selection of awesome beers and unique wines. Grab & go or relax inside or outside with the seating available - and you can enjoy a glass of wine or beer! They even do incredible catering - sandwich platters, brownie & cookies, and extravagant charcuterie boards. Great staff, great vibes.”
“Was in town for 4 days (visiting from Portland Oregon, was staying with a friend 3 blocks away). I had breakfast sandwiches here 3 of the 4 days, and a standard sandwich for the last dinner while in DC. AMAZING food, is all I can say! Plus, such a great little market absolutely packed with grocery goods, many/most of which were locally sourced from small businesses! Really can't wait to come back and have another meal! Also should note that the second time I came back, the woman taking my order (I think maybe the owner?) remembered my name from 2 days before, and welcomed me back warmly! The third time, she didn't even ask for my name, she just automatically typed it in!
Kid-friendliness: Kids would have a blast here, also, I saw kids there every time I walked in.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's an actual grated ramp leading up the one step to the door from the sidewalk”
“Great overall feel to the location. I ordered an Italian and it was fantastic. The roll was perfect, coffee was delicious. The staff were great as well. Highly recommend”
“Large selection of wine, beer, and liquors. Clean, organized place. Very nice and helpful customer service. Came in looking for something kind of obscure and they were able to help me out. Will be back more often for more regular purchases. This place is nice.”
“Consistently lowest fuel prices in Old Town Alexandria. They also do Virginia state safety and emissions inspections. Only downsides: Parking lot is a little tight, and the tap to pay function doesn't work on all pumps.”
“B K Miller Meats & Liquor holds a special place in my family's heart as a go-to destination for premium-quality meats in bulk. With a large family to feed, the convenience and reliability of this establishment have been invaluable.
The staff at B K Miller Meats & Liquor quality of the meat is consistently excellent, even though the prices can be more reasonable, especially when buying in bulk.
Moreover, the sense of tradition and community that permeates through B K Miller Meats & Liquor is palpable. It is heartwarming to know and see multiple generations of my family, including my grandmother, mother, aunts, uncles, cousins, my sisters, and brothers, and those family members that are still with us today continue to shop at this establishment.
In conclusion, B K Miller Meats & Liquor's reputation for providing meats in bulk is well-deserved. As part of a large family, having this trusted establishment to rely on for quality products and exceptional service has been a true blessing.”

“The cashier named Patricia is the one who provides the best customer service...she is very friendly and always offers extra products to customers. Visit the place, it is very nice and has a variety of food in the mornings and evenings.”
“I was looking for some fashion and coffee table-type magazines in foreign languages for a work-related event, and wasn’t able to find them anywhere, until someone recommended I check out The Newsroom on Connecticut Ave NW in DuPont Circle. It was great! I bought 3 Vogues (French, German, and Italian), a People magazine (Spanish), and a few other fashion magazines. These will be great for our office’s fun activities related to learning/studying foreign languages. The owners were super helpful and friendly. Highly recommend!”

“I'm traveling and needed a new tank, juice, and a smaller device to get me through the week. So glad I stopped here before they closed. Staff is amazing - knowledgable, helpful, friendly. Store is clean, selection is great, and I got to grab some juices I've never heard of. This is my new go-to spot when I'm visiting the area!”
“Good selection of stores to get a bite to eat. Parking is tight on the side near Subway. It’s walking distance from the Huntington Metro station. Clean parking lot with plenty of spaces. Post office is located between 7Eleven and El Rancho restaurant.”
“Had to make a quick dinner decision. No hot wings, baked chickens etc. Justin boxed frozen dinners. No family meals. Single frozen dinners. Accepts EBT but not the Senior Healthy Benefits UCard. The Convenience Store is in an ALL income area. Home owners, renters, and Seniors. Most people are on a fixed income and Seniors could buy more if they had more fresh fruits and veggies and accepted the Senior Benefit Card. The younger home owners have a great selection of wines.”
“I recently went to this location to get a Maryland car inspection. Umar was awesome, the day I went I was the first person to get my vehicle inspected. I failed, due to my passenger and driver side tints. Umar took my tints off, and my vehicle pass inspection. He was very knowledgeable, and efficient. Due to my experience from a car inspection I'll take my vehicle to him for service. Thank you again!!!”
“I love this place. There are convenient, ready to eat meals and drinks to quench the thirst. The very best thing about Mike's are the people who work there. They are always friendly, helpful and make Mike's a valuable local fixture in the fabric of the Huntington neighborhood. Thanks, you guys!”
“I am just reviewing the food. It was really nice. The servers don't really speak English but I was able to point and gesticulate what I thought looked nice. The shrimp in the creamy soup was delicious and so was the rice and plantains. I went back twice. It was 16.25 for a very large serve of food. I had some leftover for dinner. If you're looking for great takeout, come here.”
“This store lowkey does not pass the vibe check.
TL:DR - Hiring process is crap and annoying to deal with, Hispanic section is good, and their donuts are AMAZING.
Come here AT LEAST for the donuts, fr worth it.
8 of my friends (9 including me) never got any kind of response when we applied to work here, plus the managers always seemed to mysteriously unavailable to be spoken to.
I've literally called the store, got told to call back the next morning, called the next morning, "Manager on vacation" :/
when will they be back? " X date." Thanks so much.
Called back on X date, "She'll be here tomorrow morning" thanks.
Calls back tomorrow morning, "Hi, not here. Call again tomorrow morning."
At which point I came INTO THE STORE to speak with this elusive hiring manager, just to be told that they were on vacation and won't be back for a while.
: )
So suffice to say, hiring process seems messy, outdated, unreliable, and flat out non-functional at times.
The website needs to be updated, the employees need proper customer service training because regardless of what I'm calling about, and who's answering, it's always in a tone that sounds like I might aswell be interrupting a neurosurgeon mid incision.
The only redeeming quality of this store is what it sells, and I'm not talking standard groceries.
Not only does Shoppers have a decent spread of hispanic foods, ingredients, drinks & snacks, but it's also got some of, if not THE BEST donuts you could buy from a store.
The donut chains like Dunkin or Krispy Kreme got nothing on SFW donuts, they got Croissant donuts (Cronuts), marble iced, Holland Creme (my favorite), jam filled, lemon pudding filled, boston creme, and of course all your standard donut types like powdered, brown sugar, plain and glazed, not to even mention some specialty ones they have on occasion like the apple pie filled brown sugar, or marbled icing cronuts.
Plus they're reasonably priced, which automatically raises the rating for me.
(Next I get donuts I'll snap some pictures and add them!)”
“Very passable deli. Have ordered wine and sandwiches here. Found it to be very solid and very good overall service and food options. very low price and decent quality - would recommend for people who need a quick bite!”

“This Dash-In is more like a mom & pop store. From the cashiers to the cooks everyone is so kind in my experience. I frequently visit for a morning coffee or for breakfast fresh off the grill for my son before school. He enjoys the breakfast burrito and the friendly employees wishing him a great day at school. A favorite snack of ours are the wings, the spicy wings and old bay wings are so good ?. The store is always well kept. Because we are a community, if I see something out of place, I put it back or clean a spill left by someone passing through I like to presume. I never went in the smaller store, but after the expansion I am hooked.”
“Food is really good! Great portions and low price. I never knew this little spot was right here. My bf ate his steak and cheese so fast, I didn’t get a picture lol”
“I’m a tradesman, working in Georgetown often. Forgot my lunch today and decided to tryout Sara’s. I can’t say that it’s the cheapest option, but that was the most delicious salad I’ve ever had !! Prosciutto cut to order, delicious greens and fresh cut tomatoes. And such a quaint little store I was the only customer the whole time I was there. Most of the things on the shelf were very expensive, a great convenience for those whose time is more valuable”
“Fantastic customer service & they have a little bit of everything! It’s always my first stop before getting in my car to pick up a this or a that…chances are, they have whatever I need!”

“Since being under new management with Marvin, I love shopping here and it's not even my neighborhood store. Everyone is friendly, polite and always in a great mood. I don't know what Marvin is doing in there but I love it!!! It's always a pleasant experience from the moment you enter the door until the second that you walk out!!”
