“I stumbled onto this place looking for a restroom. Lol. I was looking for something to purchase so I can be considered as a customer. The gentlemen allowed me to use their facility. Before leaving I promised to return as a customer . I returned that following Saturday and was really amazed by the services and machines. First I made sure to have some change. Shortly after, I realized they have an app based system. The place is very clean. Machines are practically new. The prices are within my range.
I really enjoy coming here to wash.”

“I never leave reviews but Columbia Pike Laundry saved us this week! Our washer and dryer both broke and we had a huge backlog of laundry. After another laundry service fell through, I found Columbia Pike and was able to have them pickup and drop off all 6 huge bags of laundry within 24 hours. Nothing short of amazing. Everything is perfectly folded and organized - they even paired our socks for us. If we ever get another laundry backlog I will 1000% be using them. On time for both pickup and drop off and overall amazing.”
“Wheaton valet cleaners is my go to for all dry cleaning, tailoring, and shoe repair needs. I’ve brought several shoes here to be repaired after either my dog got to them or the heel cap fell off. I’ve also brought a wool coat here that shrunk in the wash and they were able to lengthen the sleeves and make it look brand new again.”
“The laundromat is wonderful, and the employees are great. However, I have two suggestions:
1. The dryer doors do not stay open. When loading clothes, the door can swing shut and hit you. I often have to wedge clothes in just to keep it open, which is very frustrating.
2. I understand there is a one-hour policy where unattended laundry bags are discarded. I suggest keeping the bags instead of throwing them away. I had four bags—after putting my clothes in the washer, I left the bags nearby and moved my clothes to the dryer using a cart. When I went back to get my bags, they were gone because an employee had thrown them away. I know they were following policy, but doing laundry takes about an hour, and placing bags above or under machines is common. It would be better to store them somewhere so customers can retrieve them if needed. I had to dig out my laundry bags from the trash.
Aside from these issues, I really like this laundry, and the employees are very helpful.”
“The Island Plaza Cleaners are local heroes! After I moved out of a moldy apartment, they were able to get the mold out of my dry clean clothes, including a handmade wool coat I got from my grandma. When I brought the clothes in, they were realistic and upfront with what they were and were not sure they could get the mold out of. They were also very friendly and understanding! In the end, they got the mold out of everything and saved the coat I got from my grandma?
I wish I could provide pictures but I was busy looooossssing my mind?”
“Many machines to pick from, I brought my own detergent just in case I didn't have enough cash. Had decent sized amount of clothes which all fit perfectly into the machines, washed within 20ish minutes, and put in dryer for 30ish minutes. They have a change machine, restroom, and chairs to sit at. I'll be coming back here for future washes.”
“I enjoy this laundry location it is a great environment and good prices, close to home and amazing workers like Ana who always helps anybody in need with a smile on her face always. She is a great people person who cares about her community who comes to wash like myself and family. Only thing I would ask the management that they bring back soap they would give to customers in finical need. But besides that I recommend people to always come here and enjoy this great experience while washing and drying cloths ?.”
“I love doing my laundry here! The employees are polite and very helpful. Earlier today, the associate noticed that my dryer wasn't heating properly. She checked the machine, explained what was wrong and asked me to switch to another machine; she then immediately reimbursed me what I had paid.
There are comfortable waiting areas, television and free parking.”

“Wow!! Skips is a nice liquor store in the neighborhood that has been there for a very long time at one time there was a crowd of folks that hung around the store all day begging for money but they have cleaned it up and you feel much safer going there now”

Bobby and Peter are absolute pros and a pleasure to deal with every time. They even offer notary services for a tiny fee and handle it quickly and professionally, which has saved me more than once. “I usually come here for dry cleaning, but this time I trusted them with a much harder job, restoring two pairs of white satin bridal heels (Prada and Aquazzura) that had serious grass stains, plus a pair of Alexander McQueen boots that needed sole replaced. “Best dry-cleaner in all of DC. The gentleman who runs this operation does it fully solo and never, ever misses a beat. Turns drop-offs into pick-ups in the blink of an eye.
Clothing comes back immaculate and perfectly hung. I have taken in several high-end articles of clothing to be tailored and repaired and each has returned to me looking exactly as they did when I bought them.
The owner is extremely helpful when I visit him what feels like twice a week. I always have my frisky, nosy dog with me and am dropping off a dozen items as well as picking up a dozen more. He helps me carefully contain the fresh laundry into my bag and is always impeccably patient and efficient.
Did I mention the affordability for this quality is a wonder of the world? The first few times I used these services my jaw actually dropped.
There is no reason to go anywhere else.”

“VERY clean and efficient machines. The gentleman helping us (possibly the owner?) answered all our silly questions and gave us accurate recommendations for how much to load for our first use. We hadn’t done any of our laundry since moving and it only took us about 2 hours total to get through all of it here. And I really do mean ALL of our laundry, like over 150+ lbs of clothes and bedding and towels. Planning to do all our laundry here until we get our machines up and running at home. Love this place”

“My first time here and was in a rush and it was almost midnight. Came in with one quick load, loaded the machine and went to get my laundry card. Easy to use machine mostly, card reader not so much, but I was able to load $20 onto a card only then to find out the card did not work and was invalid. Every machine I went to said the same thing. Even when I went to check the balance at the machine where you add money and get the card in the first place, it said it was an invalid card. My bank statement showed that the machine took $20. I found the loan employee working the shift and he didn't speak any English at all. Some kind Patron's helps translate and I was able to get the phone number to call if there are ever any issues. This was midnight, mind you, and after calling once and leaving a lengthy message describing the incident, someone responded through text only minutes after I left the voicemail, saying that I could go to the attendant and he will have $20 in cash for me. Honestly I was shocked that I was able to get such a prompt response and even more shocked that there was no question to my claim. Obviously this probably wasn't the first time so the person was likely expecting these calls especially at this hour and knew exactly what to do. I'm still washing my clothes as I leave this review so I can't speak to how everything else works but it seems like a good place and the customer service is excellent to this point. Five star experience but I can only rightfully give 4 stars for the location due to the card issue. By the way no one else seemed to be having that problem but the Translating Patron that was so helpful did mention that she was familiar with this issue so I don't think it happens to everybody but it sounds like it definitely happens more than once a day. But you can rest assured that the establishment is well aware of the issue and is ready and completely willing to appease and reconcile any issue regarding the card payments.”
