βA hardware store like they used to be! You can get pretty much anything you need here. They also have a plant shop attached. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I have always had positive experiences and left with everything I needed (and then some ?). This place is a DC classic and I highly recommend it for household needs.β
βFragers is my go-to hardware store. I am not a DIY person as a routine, and need assistance and guidance when undertaking some house projects. This visit was due to a bathroom vanity that needs repair. The Ace staff helped me match paint colors and gather the tools I would need. One of the stain colors was a bit off (the label showed a different color than the contents) but everything else was perfect.β
βHad a very good experience, as usual, in Ace today. Orby was very very helpful. We needed a hard to find item and he helped us find exactly what we needed! Thanks.β
βThe level of customer service here is excellent. I have a retrofitted grooming van with all kinds of custom hoses and fittings. One of them broke and I had a major leak. I explained my problem to Mike and he was able to retrofit a toilet supply line, a hose barb, and clamps to create what I needed. He cut and fitted everything on the spot. I will be coming here for all my hardware needs in the future.β
βI didn't realize that vacuums weren't small appliances; so took awhile to find the 'real deal' - his name is Bill and he runs Hyattsville Vacuum Service with integrity and honesty.
Brought vacuum in for a 'diagnostic' and magic was performed and now my Bissel is back to a force of nature.
Small, dedicated businesses are rare these days, so a joy to discover!β

βThis is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.β

My parents needed to fully renovate their entire house, including the kitchen. I received attentive care and meticulous design support from Yohannes. He patiently listened to my goals and worked smartly with my budgetary constraints. βI went to this Home Depot yesterday to find a metal, NOT plastic, flat dustpan. After finding the dustpan, I noticed they had a ton of these Fill Stick Wood Repair Paint Pens, all kinds. While realizing all the choices I had, I must have looked undecided and confused ( which I was), a kind perceptive employee noticed that I looked lost( which I was also). I had chosen the two Filler Pens I needed, but was trying to return a third un- needed pen to it's proper shelf. I couldn't find where I had found it. I imagine the employees watch customers trying to replace their unwanted items in their proper location all the time! Anyway, this young man, Carlton, came to help me as a courteous gesture, and I am grateful for this conscientious Home Depot employee. He said don't worry, I will find the spot where it belongs. Thank you, CARLTON!!!

βOver the past few years, I have been purchasing plants for my garden and yard. My vegetable harvest has been great. They didn't have much to choose from last year and I'm hoping they have more for sale this year. Headed there now.β

βWhat an awesome place! Don't let the name confuse you - they don't just sell door closers (and dam, they have a lot of them) - they carry many security products and low voltage as well as locks.Mike, the sales rep was awesome and was willing to wait for me couple of minutes after closing as I needed an item (that non of the other suppliers in the DMV had in stock locally) to finish a job.Another big plus is that buying from them you support a local business.Thank you guysβ

βQuick unloading some drivers say overnight parking ?οΈ but you might want to call and ask if they have overnight parking because they have a gate so i donβt know if gate closes or not because you donβt want be out of hours at night in this area because is almost impossible to find a place to park in the east coast unless you like getting tickets ? for making new parking spots any where you like ??β

βMy preferred Home Depot. The employees were friendly, the store had everything i needed and I was in and out in no time. Can be hard to find these days as new construction is hiding the building and signs. I have been here a few times and still missed it. However, all was well and enjoyable.β
βI used to buy from them when they were located on Midcity Ave. 40 +/_ years ago. I was very pleased when I called the other day to enquire about a screw to use for attaching treated lumber to steel exterior deck framing. The person who answered was incredibly well versed on that particular very unusual application. Extremely helpful!β

βI love this place! While I hate having the good folks who work here slave over my frequent piddling requests for a matching bolt or two (anyone recall the search for a metric equivalent to a #1 that was 2mm in length?) I always buy my bulk nut and bolt purchases here to compensate. THANK YOU!β
βWhile I appreciate the great service provided by this establishment, there is one issue with the parking lot. When leaving the premises, I noticed that the drivers tended to block the intersection intentionally, causing congestion and inconvenience for other motorists.β
βThe technician was fine and hopefully my fridge is now working. My concern is with the communication at Sears. This took many phone calls and a long process to complete.β
