“This place almost earns a full five stars from me. The meat section is excellent and usually where the best deals can be found. A lot of the other items are about the same price as you would find outside, but the selection is always solid. The building itself is small, yet they somehow keep it fully stocked. Occasionally they run out of my favorite milk, but that is no big deal. The only real downside is the checkout line, which can get pretty long since there is usually just one cashier. Still, the staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the wait a little easier.”
“I had went into Food Lion earlier this week and I got rung up by a young man named Benji. He was a very kind person, asked me how my day was, if I wanted things double bagged, even complimented my hair. I personally don’t see how he could have been deliberately rude, or passive aggressive. Every time I go in there, it always is filled with such nice workers. Would absolutely recommend to anybody wanting to apply, or to go shop.”
“Doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's a clean, large store inside with a lot to look at. Clothing, fishing needs, arts/crafts, beach needs, home decor, souvenirs. Type of clothing available changes with the seasons. Some things were overpriced, but in general, things were reasonable. Great place to stop and shop especially when visiting, but also great for locals for home, garden, or gifts.”

“This is definitely a small town store and I love it. They serve food, baked goods, preserves, and so much more! I've lived in La Plata for months and I'm kicking myself for not stopping by sooner. The food is yummy and the staff is amazing! I had the crab cake sandwich and it was by far the best crab cakes I've had. Hubby had the shrimp platter. The shrimp was definitely a good size. I will definitely be coming back. ❤️❤️”
