While the originally promised vehicle wasn't available, the staff didn’t just apologize—they upgraded the offer with something even better. Although I declined due to personal driving needs, I appreciated the gesture and the flexibility they offered.
Customer service was next-level. From start to finish, the team was professional and friendly. Manager John stood out especially—he handed me his business card and invited me to call if I needed to extend the rental. That kind of personal touch turned a good experience into a great one. “Best customer service experience I’ve ever had renting a car. Frankly one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had period. Rahman went above and beyond on a holiday weekend to help me and my family switch to a larger car. We got a car at BWI (after waiting for 2.5 hours) on the 4th and it just didn’t have enough trunk space - everyone except for the driver was sitting with bags on their laps! I came into the Ellicot City branch on the 5th to see about switching, but bc of the holiday weekend inventory was really limited. Rahman gave me his direct line and promised that if I came back on Monday he’d have something bigger for me. Without fail, we showed up and were moved into a bigger car within 20 minutes of arriving (plus all paperwork). I saw one local come in and another call while I was there, and he was amazing with them too. Clearly a beloved guy and excellently office. Would absolutely rent from here again. This place redeemed my Budget rental experience. I’d give 10 stars if I could, and much of that has to do with the staff. THANK YOU RAHMAN!”
“Excellent customer service at this location! We originally had a car reservation at Enterprise but they tried giving us a different vehicle class than we had reserved. I called this Budget location and they were able to get me an upgraded SUV for a lower price than Enterprise and had it ready for pick up in two hours! We really appreciated their service and will be sure to use them for future rentals.”

I was very skeptical choosing this location after reading all the reviews.
This place is only 5 minutes from my sister's house. I traveled from Washington to NJ/NY and then took a train to Baltimore. Had to rent a car to drive back to NJ to catch my plane. I eneded up choosing this place to help my sister out since she had to work at 9.30 am. We got there at 8.15am. Google and sign on door says place opens at 8am. Door was locked. As I was on the phone calling another location and about to get in my sister's car to leave, she pointed out the employee had arrived. To our surprise there was a guy in an office on the phone. Don't understand why the door was still locked but whatever. As soon as we got inside the employee got right to work and it took her about 10-15 minutes to get me the car and out of there. Car rental was a Chevy Track 2025. Perfect size for our drive back to NJ. Dirty driver side window but other than than, car looked absolutely brand new like nobody had been in the car. I was really hoping for a smooth and quick experience and that is was I got. Only reason im not giving 5 stars is because door was locked when we arrived and employee was late.”
