He was communicative, transparent, and genuinely invested in helping me. He never made me feel like just another name on a list.

This shop really surpassed my expectations. I needed some Ankara fabric and wanted to support a local business instead of going to NYC like I normally would. It is filled to the brim with beautiful art, fabric, jewelry, oils, and more! The prices are very reasonable and the quality is top-notch. Anything in this shop would make wonderful gifts for holidays, birthdays, special occasions, etc. You need to give yourself at least an hour to peruse all the beautiful products (or just keep coming back!). I had a wonderful chat with the lovely ladies of Sankofa, who were very warm, funny, and knowledgeable. I wish I had visited sooner, but now that I know, I'll be back frequently!”

“Great shop personable and helpful husband and wife owned store. I had 3 pieces all silver ring, bracelet and necklace that needed repair. I silver ring from Greece. Somehow I cut it in two places but he was able to put it back together like brand new. The job was quick and reasonably priced two hours but I took a day to come back. They also have beautiful jewelry for sale. I will return be returning!”

“It’s year 2023 and I purchased these pieces 11/ 2003. I wore them to work today for the first time, as you see I even have the receipt, they are beautiful but I will caution on wearing them in the shower or any harsh soap when washing my hands. For fashion they are great but after 20 years they do worth the $20 bucks. No disappointment here.”
