This shop really surpassed my expectations. I needed some Ankara fabric and wanted to support a local business instead of going to NYC like I normally would. It is filled to the brim with beautiful art, fabric, jewelry, oils, and more! The prices are very reasonable and the quality is top-notch. Anything in this shop would make wonderful gifts for holidays, birthdays, special occasions, etc. You need to give yourself at least an hour to peruse all the beautiful products (or just keep coming back!). I had a wonderful chat with the lovely ladies of Sankofa, who were very warm, funny, and knowledgeable. I wish I had visited sooner, but now that I know, I'll be back frequently!”

Farhan and his team walked me through everything — patiently, respectfully, and with total transparency. They explained the process, the risks, and the pros and cons of trying to undo the engraving. I decided to move forward and let them try to save the silverware for the wedding.

“Major shout out to Jason. I finally received a setting I ordered from a jeweler on Etsy today on Christmas Eve. Other big jewelers in the area had quoted me hundreds of dollars & 2 weeks to drop in my grandma's heirloom diamond into this setting. I called them just to see and Jason and his jeweler were able to do it for $200 in almost 30 min on Christmas Eve. They were incredible, so nice and accommodating--I had to leave a review. “I purchased a ring from Poplar Jewelry at Christmas time 2025. Sometime in March 2026 my daughter dropped the ring and the stone fell out. We were able to find the stone and took it back to Poplar. Besides the stone falling out the found a broken post. Poplar said they would mount the stone for free and only charge us the amount of gold it would take to fix the crack plus labor. They stood behind there product and repaired a piece of jewelry that had no warranty. They charged is what there jeweler would charge them. I will be a returning customer.”
