They have some of the best book clubs in the district and sell myriad books that you cannot find at other bookstores or Walmart or wherever. A true DC gem. I just knocked off one star because they forgot about a book I preordered until I reminded them twice about it. Better to just shop in-store.”

“Went to a book event here last night. Appreciate that the attendance was free. Their event space fits about 70 seating spaces plus standing room. I thought it would be much more packed, but was pleasantly surprised by the intimate atmosphere. Had an awesome time and will have to keep an eye out for their other events.”

“The best small used-and-new bookshop that I know of around here, as of April 2024 - thoughtful selections, helpful and truly pleasant ownership and staff, sections well-placed and well-organized (even the relatively obscure scholarly shelves). Pricing is more than fair (most stock is used). And it just feels good to be in there. Like old times.”

“My son and I stopped in this gift shop today to get our NPS passport stamps while escaping the heat for a few minutes. My son, who is less than 2, was annoyed from the heat and was a little fussy while I was trying to stamp. The clerk, Michael, brought over a Junior Ranger workbook and a wooden pin for my son. It instantly changed his whole mood. Getting to stamp his workbook was so exciting for him. He even kept it in his lap for the rest of the morning.”

It as a new owner and moved a block aways.Very friendly owner and helpful to .The stock is a bit less then the old store but it is normal due to the change of ownership just let them know what you need and they will get it for you.Just go visit them next time in the neighborhood”
