“This small market is humble on the outside and clean, friendly, and well stocked on the inside! TG, the owner along with her husband, was very gracious and helpful. The aisles are a little thin but it makes more room for an incredible assortment of imported food, much of it from Thailand. There are veggies, frozen food, rice, canned food, sauces and fresh meats!
We obtained red, purple and brown Thai rice as well as original Red Bull from Thailand! Carbs and Caffeine to go with our steaks we bought elsewhere! TG kindly gifted us with free, delicious soy milk to thank us for visiting from so far away! Thank you for your incredible shop and hospitality!

“Zemen market has quickly become my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in the area. The beef tibs with a veggie combo were simply fantastic and now I can't wait to explore the menu some more. Everything was cooked perfectly with big, delicious flavors! Even with the favorites of Tom Sietsema down the road I would chose Zemen 10 out of 10 times. Please do yourself a favor and get your next dinner here. I am so happy I found this place!”

“Wow, super selection of Latin American products! I felt like I could have been in Tegus or Guate City. My new favorite grocery store in the DMV for chorizo, cheese, beans, and tortillas. Large butcher shop. Hot sauce selection isn't great. Bakery looked delicious.”
“This is another favorite market of mines. I have found some amazing products that saves me time and money when cooking. One is the Ginger paste and the other is Ginger and Garlic Paste. I use ginger and garlic with just about everything I cook.The staff is very friendly, the store is clean, and the aisles are passable.They have the best prices on their Carbolic soap & Dettrol soap.”
