“Really can't say enough good things about this place. It's so important to have a good hardware store in your neighborhood, and having this just a few blocks away is amazing. The store is staffed exclusively with amazingly helpful staff who can answer any question you bring, and will take you right to the exact spot in the store you need. I've wandered in here with many different minor problems over the years and I've walked out with a solution every time. They're also incredible easy able returns, so if one of a few options might fix your issue, you can just buy them all and make a decision when you get home, then just pop back and return what you didn't need. It is easy to approach projects with confidence when I start here! It's also always worth it to pop over to the housewares side of the store - there's always something up there you end up needing and you can even grab some essentials from a local place instead of CVS up the street.”

“The friendly neighborhood hardware store - I could not recommend them enough. Stopped in for paint this morning and Will took great care of me. I had to buy over 4 gallons of color-matched paint and was in/ out in less than 20 minutes. The whole team here is helpful, knowledgable, and you can tell they're just good people in general. Very glad they are so conveniently located in Courthouse.”

“I recently revisited after moving away a couple of years ago and had forgotten how much I love the Glover Park Ace. From the outside and when you first walk in, it looks like it's going to be small with limited products, but it's surprisingly large considering its location on Wisconsin. They've used every inch of the space to stock a wide selection of products while keeping it well organized and tidy. I do a lot of home maintenance and home improvement projects and the staff here are awesome - super friendly and always nearby and ready to help.”

It's impossible to just run in for one thing and not be gobsmacked by the inventory and array of options that Strosniderr's provides. The Bethesda store in particular is incredible, it's like Home Depot, Bed bath & beyond (RIP), and your favorite outdoor gardening store all rolled into one. If I could give it six stars I would. 😊”
“The couple times I’ve visited, the staff at Bill’s Ace Hardware has been very knowledgeable and helpful. When the store didn’t have a specific item we were looking for in stock, Sam was very helpful and called a few other stores to check if they had it in stock, and asked them to confirm the item was on the shelf (rather than just in the system). It was much appreciated since it saved us the drive for the store that didn’t have it, and we knew which of the two to go to.”

“A commonly broken piece from my HOOVER vacuum broke, I called Hoover to purchase a replacement but they said because I was passed the 5 year warranty they would not replace my vacuum and didn’t make the piece to purchase separately. I brought it in the this store and they replaced the hose because luckily he had the same make/model in his basement. Got my vacuum back in a week and is working perfectly!”
“It has been awhile since we have been to this wonderful hardware store. It is the same friendly place we remembered back in the 80's. A kind young man named George helped me right away to find an air filter. They were located a way up high so he reached up there to bring 2 down very carefully. Thanks so much George and Cherrydale Hardware store!”
“A hardware store like they used to be! You can get pretty much anything you need here. They also have a plant shop attached. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, I have always had positive experiences and left with everything I needed (and then some ?). This place is a DC classic and I highly recommend it for household needs.”

“Potomac Paint in Arlington has been incredibly helpful throughout our full home renovation. In particular, Khalim was innovative and went above and beyond when staining a T-molding to perfectly match the tricky color of our engineered hardwood. My contractor said it would be impossible unless it was factory-made, yet Khalim somehow made it happen. We were thoroughly impressed! I would say this is the best paint store in the DMV region.”
“The is a fantastic place to donate no longer used household items. They do an amazing job refurbishing them and selling them to the public at a very low price. This gives everyone in the community a wonderful opportunity to upgrade their homes.”

“Lance, the associate who assisted me with a major purchase (for me) of an EGO lawn mower, did a fantastic job and went over the top. He showed me what was available, helped me measure to see if it would fit in my car, helped me fulfill the online order made in shop quickly, and helped me move items in my car to get the box to fit. He also was pleasantly conversational.
Thanks to his service I returned to the same location to purchase the EGO trimmer and blower combo.”
