Family Friends Veterinary Hospital

10/10, no notes. We spend a good portion of our life at the vet because we have 3 senior dogs and 2 cats. The entire staff is wonderful. Dr Baigelman is so smart, thoughtful, and dedicated to his practice. He listens to our concerns, even the small stuff, discusses all of our options and ensures that we have all the information to make an informed decision. I recommend Family Friends to everyone looking for a vet.

Powder Mill Animal Hospital

I have 3 cats in the care of Powder Mill and have been extremely satisfied. One cat needed teeth extraction and the fee was reasonable. My other two cats had tooth extractions at other vets and so I've experienced the range of fees that can be charged. My cats are all elderly, 2 with chronic illnesses. They need more frequent care and meds, again the fees are reasonable. I'm on a fixed income, as so many people are, so I wanted to comment on my experience with charges. Of course the most important thing is the wonderful care received from Dr. Keiser and Dr. Margolis and all the veterinary staff. They are personable, go above and beyond, listen to my concerns carefully and offer me all the options without pressure. I've been to many veterinarian offices over the years due to moving or just disatisfaction. I feel so grateful to have landed at Powder Mill for my kitties senior years (and mine!).

I’ve known Nancy, the owner for almost 20 years. She and the staff she trained, have always provided excellent grooming services for my Rasha. Rasha went to Pink Dog. She always came home happy, looking beautiful and smelling great! What I really loved about Pink Dog was how kindly and well she was treated. The groomers truly knew how to cultivate a trusting relationship with her. I’m sure this is why Rasha was also so easy to handle when she went to Veterinarian.

I have been using Acton Critter Sitters for around 5 years now, and they are extremely nice and caring people. Every individual visit they make, they update me in the online portal with what they've done (feeding, cleaning, litter, refilling bowls, etc.), they play with my cat and give her scratches, and send me a handful of photos. Great service and great people.

The Balanced Pack Dog Training

Alison is an extremely knowledgeable trainer that helped us understand how our energy and actions were dictating our dog’s reactions and behavior. Walking around other dogs is no longer embarrassing and chaotic. The food she recommended we switch to has also helped all of our dogs tremendously. We are really grateful we met her and got her guidance.

Palmer Kennels

I am overdue in writing a review about Palmer Kennels! My dog has been staying here during numerous trips and vacations over the last couple of years. This is such a wonderful family and kennel operation. I can remember coming here with my father 50 years ago as my childhood dogs also used to stay at Pat Palmer back then too. The staff at Palmer Kennels are always so friendly and professional, and they are obviously so knowledgeable about dogs and boarding. When we drop off our dog, she is always just dying to get inside the kennel so she has such positive associations with being there. And there was even a time during pickup when our dog was trying to get back into the kennel so she clearly loves it there. We feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to board our dog.

West Side Creamery

What an absolutely amazing ice cream shoppe! And coming from someone who considers herself a bit of an ice cream snob ?, this place completely exceeded my expectations.

First of all, the shop itself is stunning. The space is so beautiful, bright, and light-drenched — honestly just such a gorgeous atmosphere to sit and enjoy ice cream. They also had a flower CSA from and the flowers were absolutely gorgeous too, which made the whole experience feel even more special.

The girl working was incredibly sweet and welcoming — I absolutely adored her! She made the experience so fun and happily let me sample flavors.

And the ice cream… OMG. SO delicious. The flavor options were amazing, but the banana chip completely blew me away. It tasted so natural and fresh — honestly unreal.

Finally, I need to talk about the chocolate sprinkles because they deserve their own moment ? They were hands down the BEST chocolate sprinkles I’ve ever had and such a pleasant surprise.

Cannot wait to come back!
