Family Friends Veterinary Hospital
864 Massachusetts Ave, Acton10/10, no notes. We spend a good portion of our life at the vet because we have 3 senior dogs and 2 cats. The entire staff is wonderful. Dr Baigelman is so smart, thoughtful, and dedicated to his practice. He listens to our concerns, even the small stuff, discusses all of our options and ensures that we have all the information to make an informed decision. I recommend Family Friends to everyone looking for a vet.

She is so empathetic, really cares about the dogs, is so friendly to them, and is always willing to listen to our concerns. She never tries to oversell us on stuff we don’t need, and always works with us as partners. 10/10 would recommend, it’s a bummer we’re moving and have to find a new vet!

Sadie immediately respected Alison and looked to her for feedback and cues. Alison spent time to understand my family's routine, educated us in Sadie's behavior and worked with us until we got results. We have gained confidence and now Sadie is truly a happier dog. Alison is truly wonderful at what she does. She KNOWS dogs.

278 Great Rd, ActonI’ve known Nancy, the owner for almost 20 years. She and the staff she trained, have always provided excellent grooming services for my Rasha. Rasha went to Pink Dog. She always came home happy, looking beautiful and smelling great! What I really loved about Pink Dog was how kindly and well she was treated. The groomers truly knew how to cultivate a trusting relationship with her. I’m sure this is why Rasha was also so easy to handle when she went to Veterinarian.

14 Stow St, ActonI have been using Acton Critter Sitters for around 5 years now, and they are extremely nice and caring people. Every individual visit they make, they update me in the online portal with what they've done (feeding, cleaning, litter, refilling bowls, etc.), they play with my cat and give her scratches, and send me a handful of photos. Great service and great people.

28 Skyline Dr, ActonI am overdue in writing a review about Palmer Kennels! My dog has been staying here during numerous trips and vacations over the last couple of years. This is such a wonderful family and kennel operation. I can remember coming here with my father 50 years ago as my childhood dogs also used to stay at Pat Palmer back then too. The staff at Palmer Kennels are always so friendly and professional, and they are obviously so knowledgeable about dogs and boarding. When we drop off our dog, she is always just dying to get inside the kennel so she has such positive associations with being there. And there was even a time during pickup when our dog was trying to get back into the kennel so she clearly loves it there. We feel so fortunate to have such a wonderful place to board our dog.

Highly recommend overall, but the chocolate ship cookie dough is hands down the best I've ever had (as evidenced by the fact I've ordered it from here dozens of times of the years). Lines can be long during peak ice cream weather. But they are open year round and I can confirm February ice cream here is still amazing!!!!

Grilled Cajun catfish and fried haddock are solid options on a menu that has the choices you would expect for the west of Boston area. The chowders are must try. Kids will enjoy the hearty burgers and parents will appreciate the reasonable prices of a family owned local business. Outside seating is preferable in nice days. Takeout is available.
