ADAvet Veterinary Clinic

German Shepherd Rescue of Neng
WaylandI couldn’t disagree more with the negative reviews here.
GSNE isn’t a pet store or a breeder—it’s a volunteer-run rescue dedicated to finding the right homes for German Shepherds. These dogs, many of which coming from horrible, neglectful circumstances, deserve thoughtful placement. Which means not every application will be approved. Not every applicant will be matched with the first dog they fall in love with online. Breed-specific rescues—especially German Shepherd rescues—have a responsibility to the dogs first, not to applicants.
Our experience has been exceptional. Every person we worked with genuinely cared. It was obvious that their goal was to set everyone up for long-term success.
When we brought Ruby and Teddy (formerly Deke) home, they sent us with an incredible amount of supplies: brand new collars and leashes, food, toys, treats, tags, and organized folders with each dog’s medical history and information. They spent countless hours answering questions and making sure we felt prepared. These are volunteers who dedicate their own time and energy because they truly care about these dogs.
No rescue process is perfect, there may occasionally be delays in communication. But I’d much rather work with a rescue that’s careful and selective than one that places dogs into unsuitable homes just to move them quickly.
If you’re patient, honest, and understand that the dogs’ welfare comes first, you’ll quickly see how much heart this rescue has. I’m incredibly grateful to them for bringing Ruby and Teddy into our lives.
