“There’s a lady working there who is incredibly sweet. I don’t know her name, but she would definitely recognize herself. She had such a lovely conversation with me and was so helpful. She made me feel like I was in my own store—so comfortable and welcome. ?”

“Just moved from the north end and while they don't have everything you'd want from a neighborhood grocer (more snacks than necessities) they have a good selection at far better prices than the Golden Goose. Very happy to have them around the corner.”

“A great convenient location for city dwellers and tourists right in heart of it all. “Update: I had originally dropped off three packages here as a UPS access point on Memorial Day. The packages were tampered with and went missing, prompting my initial one star review. After leaving this review, the owner Aymen reached out personally, investigated the situation, and made it right. He was responsive, professional, and genuinely cared about resolving the issue which I truly appreciate.

That said, I would suggest the store work on staff communication and follow-through, as my interactions with employees during this process were unhelpful and went unresolved for weeks.

Updating my rating to reflect the owner’s efforts.”

“I come to DJ's twice at least twice a month and absolutely look forward to the next time I'll be eating a sandwich from there. The traditional kielbasa subs with sauerkraut are amazing and had my first DJ's meatball sub today and loved it! One sub, a short stick of kielbasa, A bottle of soda and a candy bar for under $20. If you'd like to learn more about kielbasa and Polish traditions - The staff loves to talk about it And you feel like you're in another country.”

“What an amazing little charming place! Tony has owned this joint for 64 years, I learned, as I walked in the lot and saw this adorable ol man butchering on a table behind the counter. $8 for a really nice little Italian sub, and the meat all looked fantastic that was in the deli case. Wicked nice last behind the counter too…Well done sir!”

“I love this store. It has almost all the dried beans, lentils, legumes you could ask for. There's lots of bulk spices and a good selection of tea. I haven't tried their meat, but everything I have tried has been good quality for decent prices. If you live in the area, this is a great shop to stock up on bulk supplies or grab an ingredient you run out of.”

“Wollaston's Market is a convenience store and deli on the Northeastern University campus, and it functions as the kind of place that becomes a daily habit for students and staff in the surrounding area. The store covers the basics you would expect from a campus market, drinks, snacks, groceries, and a small pharmacy and beauty section, and does so in a space that is clean and well organized.

The deli is the reason most people make a specific trip rather than just stopping in out of convenience. The sandwich menu runs to around fifty options, which is a serious selection for a campus deli, and the quality across the board is consistent. The bread options include choices like the asiago bagel that elevate what would otherwise be a standard build. Pricing on the sandwiches sits around eight to ten dollars, which is reasonable for the area and the portion size, and the breakfast sandwich selection in the mornings is a reliable start to the day.

Outside of the deli the pricing on grocery items runs higher than what you would pay at a full-sized supermarket, which is the standard campus convenience store trade-off. For emergency grocery runs or drinks and snacks it is practical, but for a regular grocery shop the prices add up in a way that makes it worth planning a trip to a larger store for the bulk of your shopping.”

I will never need to go anywhere else, I will most definitely be back!!!”
