2 Dogs Treats
171 Neponset Ave, BostonI’m always ready to try new treats for my beloved boxer, Tito. Unfortunately a lot of commercial dog treats are from another country or have ingredients I can’t even pronounce. Not only are 2 Dogs Treats made locally, but there’s only ONE ingredient in all of their treats. And even better, Tito is obsessed! No more looking for the next best treats. I already found them. Thank you!!

The Pooped Pooch Pet Supply
2284 Dorchester Ave, BostonLet me start by saying this is a five star review unless you have a fish. Hello, welcome to my review of the Popped Pouch. You will think this should be a one star review if you only had a fish, but you will not think it is a one star EXPERIENCE. It's a four Star experience plus one star if you have a cat or dog. This brings it to the fifth star. The P*** Porch has everything you'd dream of if you have dogful/catful fishless inside living. It's small but packed with canine and feline marineless necessities. Cool treats and quirky fun toys for pets as long as they are cats or dogs. They have one employee and sometimes that employee changes but the previous one comes back the next day and the newer one leaves until the first one is done with Jury Duty or whatever. They don't sell any fish food, or it might be in the back or something, just ask the employee if it's the first guy, he might say "no" though. I'm sure he says it in a nice way with a little animal pun joke.

Dog Eat Cake Pet Bakery| E-Commerce
298A Columbus Ave, BostonThis was our first time trying Dog Eat Cake as our local “barkery” closed. It did not disappoint! We drove an hour to pick up Max’s cake and it was totally worth it. The design was fun and unique (not your typical bone shape with minimal details). The cake was airy and moist. Max and his brother Leo loved it. It’s the best dog cake we have ever gotten! Dog Eat Cake will be our go to for both our pups!

Pet Grooming

House Call Cat Grooming & Spa L.L.C.
379 Neponset Ave, BostonI highly recommend House Call Cat grooming & Spa - We have 2 coon cats that were in desperate need of a full grooming. I searched for a mobile cat groomer for months and found them! My cats were so matted and i thought that they would need to be fully shaved. Cynthia and Sabrina were a godsend - they are experienced professionals that were able to transform both cat’s with a complete grooming while keeping their fur and brining back their beauty ! They handled the difficult cats with ease and the entire experience was seamless for cats and owner. I intend to have them as part of the high maintenance regimen a coon cat requires . Both cats and this owner are relived - and happy . One was extremely matted and in pain and immediately began running around after the grooming!

Jamaica Plain Animal Clinic
10 Green St, Jamaica PlainI’ve been bringing my dogs to JP Animal Clinic for almost 3 years, and I’m only leaving because I’m moving away.
Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.
We will truly miss JP Animal Clinic!

My dogs are very nervous and we’ve had experiences with other vets where I wasn’t allowed in the exam room or they just didn’t seem to care about my dogs being comfortable there. Here I get to stay with them and they take things slow at their pace and give lots of good treats. We also go right into the exam room and never have to deal with other dogs being too close to us which is also a plus. My dogs love the staff here! ❤️

Bond Vet - Seaport
117 Autumn Ln, BostonI don’t know where we’d be without Bond Vet! We’ve trusted them for the last couple years with our dog, Ravioli. From regular annual visits to urgent drop ins, they’ve kept Ravioli safe & healthy.
We had a really scary incident at a daycare and had to rush Ravioli to Bond Vet, even though they were about to close. They welcomed us right in and took extra time to make sure he’d be okay. This meant the world and I’ll never forget how kind every person was that night.
Anytime we walk by, Ravioli actually begs to go inside - he loves it so much. We try to see Dr. Alander when we can, but all the vets & nurses have been so kind and accommodating! Highly recommend!!

Pet Sitting & Training

Boston's Best Dog Walkers and Pet Services, LLC (main)
25 Northern Ave, BostonI would highly recommend Bostons Best Dog Walkers for pet sitting. Especially Matisse - if you want your dog to be treated like family then definitely request Matisse, he is AMAZING, treated our dog so well and our dog absolutely loved him. I truly can’t say enough how thankful I was for how great he was to our baby.
We were in Boston for the evening and needed a last minute Pet sitter to sit with our dog. You can book a “hotel stay” with BBDW where they will come to your hotel for 3 hours and sit with your dog while you go out. Most hotels have a policy that you can’t leave your dog alone, so this was a saving grace as we knew our dog would cry and disturb other guests if we left him by himself.
I was originally really nervous about this as we have never hired a sitter or left our dog with someone who isn’t family. So I requested a meet and greet where we met our sitter Matisse in the afternoon very briefly beforehand and this made me feel so much better! This isn’t included or necessary but if you’re nervous like me it was worth it. You also get a journal and photo updates on their website portal of what they did together the whole time. We asked that they just stay in the room and not go out since we walked him beforehand and that worked out well.
Aaron was also very responsive and communicated well throughout the process. I texted him from the number on Google the night before, which was really last minute and he made it all happen. We had confirmation of booking that night and a sitter arranged the next day. Overall we had a really good experience with bostons best dog walkers for our trip to Boston and I would definitely use them again.

Levain Bakery
107 Seaport Blvd, BostonLevain cookie review is straight-forward- decadent & delicious! From the basic chocolate chip to the speciality flavors they have all been good. The Lemon white chocolate, toffee chocolate, black & white, and Pb chocolate limited editions are totally worth it and the toffee hot chocolate I tried at my recent visit did not disappoint. These are thick, rich, cookies- I usually eat about 1/3 and save the rest in the freezer. The Seaport location has been consistently less crowded than the original Newbury street location when I have popped by which just makes it feel more accessible- but both are very nice. They have been offering more fresh-baked bread/rolls and a couple of sandwiches including this delicious butter &jam baguette. Both locations I have been to are small, mostly in and out, but the Seaport location has a few counter area/high chair spots to enjoy the treat onsite. They are also doing bread and some nice-looking savory sandwiches now... several people were there buying the fresh Boules which you can ask to have sliced. Levain is worth the hype and is a great special treat or speciality gift you can get wrapped up in a nice box. Check it out!

Animal Rescue League of Boston
10 Chandler St, BostonFormerly known as "Corndog" by the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL), we adopted Arthur Cornelius on June 29th, 2024. Arthur was surrendered to the ARL with two of his family members at the end of April. Arthur tried to wait patiently for his turn to find his furever home, but it was tough because he loves being with his people. When we met Arthur, it was obvious he was well cared for and how much the ARL staff and volunteers loved him. Despite being in the shelter for about two months, Arthur was friendly and trusting. Today, Arthur is living his best life with his new parents going on lots of adventures. The ARL staff and volunteers are kind, compassionate, and dedicated. In 2023, they facilitated 3,173 adoptions including cats, dogs, small animals like bunnies, and even some livestock! And overall, they helped around 21,000 animals in lots of other ways. Thank you for giving Arthur a second chance to live his best life. I highly recommend the ARL!
