Pet Grooming
The Ride and Groom
235 Highland Ave, SomervilleColleen exceeded all our expectations! She was warm and open from the start, and her grooming skills are first-class! Our Yorkshire terrier came back impeccably trimmed — even the trickier spots (eyes, ears, tail) perfectly done. We gave her a couple of photos and some verbal requests, and she nailed it. It's one of the best haircuts our pup has ever had.Colleen is the total package, complete professional — she communicates and arrives punctually, and her workstation looked immaculate both before and right after grooming. Every detail of the day was smooth, relaxed, and easy. As nervous dog parents, we loved that! Our dog has some anxiety issues, but he took to Colleen's energy instantly, nuzzling her ankles and jumping up into her van right away, and afterward, prancing happily around her. We feel hugely fortunate to have found Colleen. Mobile grooming feels like the next big thing, and Colleen is already leading the way, in every way. We highly recommend her... Colleen, THANK YOU!

Pet Care
Huron Veterinary Hospital
70 Beacon St, SomervilleMy cats have received excellent care from three of the vets at Huron since 2019. Yesterday, I made a last minute appointment as I realized my senior cat likely needed to be euthanized. Dr Ulrich and all of the staff we interacted with provided a positive and supportive experience. I am grateful and continue to recommend this practice.

Oliveira's Steak House
120 Washington St, SomervilleGreat service and atmosphere. I do wish they had a warm food bar option for people who don't eat meat.I went with family with the understanding that it's a steakhouse and a meat based establishment, but we had to pay for the full option and the poor severs kept coming over to me with their skewers. They were all really nice and brought the pineapple and cheese out to me first in our section, which I thought was a nice touch.Vegetarian options: There are options but it will be expensive for just the buffet.

Ball Square Cafe
708 Broadway, SomervilleEverything you want from a breakfast spot. Lightning fast wait times and staff, good sized portions, reasonable prices, it's really a good deal. Only minus is the decor, can feel a little like an office, but overall very little to complain about.

Davis Square Hand Crafted Donuts & Bagels

Davis Square Pizza
351 Highland Ave, SomervilleThis place is fantastic! Surprisingly great variety for an unassuming pizza spot. Personal favorites of mine are the pepperoni pineapple pizza, steak tips, and the chicken broccoli calzone. Their wings and pasta dishes are also solid. If you have any sort of gameday or party on your calendar, I couldn't recommend this spot enough. I ordered 3 of their pizzas for a party and not a single slice was left by the end of the night. Davis Square Pizza and its welcoming staff genuinely made my experience living in Somerville better. It always felt good buying from them knowing that I was supporting a local business that offered a great meal. If you're ever in the area and in the mood for anything on their menu, please give this place a chance. I promise they won't disappoint.
