PetSmart
160 Alewife Brook Pkwy, CambridgeWe cannot say enough positive things about the training at this PetSmart location! Our trainer, Hannah S, is incredible! She is highly knowledgeable on all things training, breaks it down to each dog’s individual needs, and is all around an amazing trainer and human! Crate Escape
368 Huron Ave, CambridgeWe feel fortunate to have found Crate Escape too when we got our first pup 20 years ago. We have been customers ever since using all of the services they offer including daycare, overnights, and training. The wonderful staff is so caring and responsible, they are like a second family, and our dogs see it as their home away from home.We trust them implicitly with our precious pups—we don’t know what we’d do without our Crate Escape family!

Good Dog Boston
43 May St, CambridgeI would recommend Good Dog Boston to anyone! Our trainer Jeff was patient, kind, and extremely helpful when working with us and our dog Miley. Miley struggles with reactivity triggered by other dogs and living in downtown Boston makes avoiding other dogs nearly impossible. Jeff provided a tiered program which laid the ground work for Miley's basic obedience and built up to working through her reactivity issues. We have already seen huge improvement in Miley's behavior and all thanks goes to Good Dog Boston!
Also shoutout to Jeff's furry assistants: Danny, Halo, & Doctor for being the good-est boys and helping their friend Miley with her manners!
Truly a 5 star experience!

New England Dog Training Club
5 Cadbury Rd, CambridgeNew England Dog Training Club is the absolute best training in the area, and extremely affordable!
They have a group of experienced trainers coming together to run this nonprofit club every week with as much care and passion as they show in their own training businesses, which is an incredible wealth of experience. Everyone works together and calls freely on each other for another viewpoint or advice, which creates a friendly and collaborative atmosphere from the top down.
The students (of which I am one) are a fun, friendly group with a vast range of experience, from people with their first ever dog to lifelong handlers who compete in dog sports at a high level, and my elderly mutt is adored by all alongside beautiful show dogs in the same classes; all are equally welcome.
They are uniquely prepared to handle difficult cases, including very anxious dogs and those with some reactivity. The trainers have the knowledge to keep everyone safe and create a positive environment that encourages every student to move at their own pace. My dog is one who needed a lot of extra help at the beginning and spent our first few weeks eating treats and panting anxiously in a corner they set up just for us, with visual barriers so she wasn't overwhelmed and trainers and interns who weren't busy dropping by to give us one on one attention and help us adjust.
We are now a thriving team in their intro rally (a fun low-impact sport) classes, and my dog is one of the easygoing ones who doesn't mind barking puppies next to us.
I cannot recommend NEDTC enough for the quality of training or the quality of people. It's a true community. They care about humans and dogs and take both parts of the teams seriously.

There's also free WiFi, seats where you can use a laptop (and others where you're asked not to), and an air purifier in the middle of the space. Aaaand the coffee is really tasty!

Talulla
377 Walden St, CambridgeThe use of seasonal ingredients was inspiring. For a fine dining restaurant with a tasting menu that has tips included, it is also an excellent value. The service was quite attentive.
I went with my wife for our anniversary and they started us off with complimentary champagne. My cocktail was strong with Japanese whiskey and flavorful. The scallop crudo was bright with inviting textures. The foie gras was nicely balanced between sweet and savory. The ravioli with smoky ricotta was fairly well balanced with the herbs, but my least favorite course. The veal was rich and nicely cooked. The dessert was a standout, and my favorite course.
I would love to come again for the next season.

Lizzy's Ice Cream
29 Church St, CambridgeHad a bit of time before dinner and, wait! +Ice Cream+ sign, I was lured in. Who say ya’ can’t have ice cream in January, and before dinner?
This was a great surprise and it’s a darn good thing that I don’t live close by. Really, creamy texture and just the right chewiness. Not like bubblegum chewy; am I making sense, here? Generous portions and reasonable prices.
Definitely adding Lizzy’s to my must visit list.

Fresh Boston - Cambridge
CanalSide Food & Drink, 100 Cambridgeside Pl, CambridgeIt says a lot when the preparation team takes real pride in their work.
While waiting, I stepped back and watched the team at Fresh Boston – Cambridgeside build my sandwich. The cleanliness, care, and attention to detail were immediately obvious. Everything looked organized, fresh, and intentional.
The sandwich itself was packed, fresh, and absolutely worth the price.
There’s fast food… and then there’s Fresh Boston.
Great experience all around.
