The Pooped Pooch Pet Supply
2284 Dorchester Ave, BostonLet me start by saying this is a five star review unless you have a fish. Hello, welcome to my review of the Popped Pouch. You will think this should be a one star review if you only had a fish, but you will not think it is a one star EXPERIENCE. It's a four Star experience plus one star if you have a cat or dog. This brings it to the fifth star. The P*** Porch has everything you'd dream of if you have dogful/catful fishless inside living. It's small but packed with canine and feline marineless necessities. Cool treats and quirky fun toys for pets as long as they are cats or dogs. They have one employee and sometimes that employee changes but the previous one comes back the next day and the newer one leaves until the first one is done with Jury Duty or whatever. They don't sell any fish food, or it might be in the back or something, just ask the employee if it's the first guy, he might say "no" though. I'm sure he says it in a nice way with a little animal pun joke.

171 Neponset Ave, BostonMy 12 year-old Maltese went to dog heaven in June due to congestive heart failure. He didn’t eat anything for the last couple of days so he was very weak. The day he went to heaven, we came back from the vet and he ate his favorite chicken treats and looked so happy. I am forever grateful that I got to see that. Thanks Mike and your team for making my dogs favorite treats. ❤️

This way you don't have to guess whether your dog would like something it or not! I have also bought their lobster and crab toy and they are still in good condition and very good quality!

Dog Eat Cake Pet Bakery| E-Commerce
298A Columbus Ave, BostonThe last two years I have gotten my dog's birthday cake from here! I have had it shipped both times and both times the cakes came well packaged and still perfectly put together! They are absolutely adorable. Their cakes are chicken free, which is great since my dog has an allergy. I love how you can specify a theme and color you want. My dog absolutely loves the cake and literally pulled it out of my hands last night to eat it! When reaching out to the company on instagram with questions and customizations, they are so friendly and helpful! They even reached out to clarify that the hot dog toppers had chicken and asked what I would like instead. My friends have now also gotten cakes here and their dogs loved their cakes as well. I highly recommend!!

At Home Veterinary
34 Beacon St, BostonI don't even know how to adequately thank Dr. Jeremy Gransky for his kindness and professionalism with our family. We lost BOTH of our dogs in 2021 to cancer and we were so devastated at the thought of their last act being taken to a sterile and scary animal hospital to be euthanized. We were so lucky to have found these guys. Dr Gransky has a bedside manner that I've never experienced even from human doctors. He tells you everything to expect beforehand, so there are no horrible surprises. He gives your family time to say goodbye as he waits outside in his car. He is just so caring and has figured out EXACTLY what grieving pet families need to start their journey without their pet. The office is so kind and helps make arrangements for cremation (if that's what you want) and they send handwritten sympathy cards and they make sure the cremation process is handled quickly and professionally. I simply cannot recommend these folks enough. We miss our dogs so much still, but instead of anguishing over how they had to spend their last hours, we can cherish the time they got to spend with us at home, feeling safe and loved. There is just no price you can put on something like that.

The office is clean, modern, & her staff is always friendly. On top of all this prior to visiting Bentley had a medical emergency. Her walks and interactions needed to be limited. Sophie and the team have done a great job modifying her schedule and handling her exactly as needed. They did such a great job with walks that I trusted them to watch my dog while I went away for the weekend.I have utilized other dog walking companies and doggie daycares in the Boston area and Boston Fetch is the best one I’ve used. Harbor Hounds
256 Marginal St BLDG #14, BostonWhen I moved to East Boston mid 2021 it has been a couple of years since my little guy had been to a structured daycare. By that point there had been a lot of changes in life, personal and work, on top of spending 24/7 by my side the past 2 years. When I mentioned this to a close friend he had nothing but amazing things to say about Harbor Hounds. The amazing difference he saw in his timid pup with her confidence was night and day. While my little dude is anything but timid, his anxiety (seperation and otherwise) was at an all time high.My dog has been at Harbor Hounds for 2 years now and cannot say enough great things. Sarah, Lindsey and the rest of the employees there are beyond kind and caring. No matter the day, every time I drop him off his tail is always wagging. They let Yuki be Yuki all while helping him improve and learn along the way. It's made a huge difference in both his and my life.

The Pawsitive Dog
274 Southampton St, BostonTruly do not have enough wonderful things to say about our experience at Pawsitive. We truly weren't sure what else to do to help our very sweet but very anxious rescue dog, Abby, when a friend suggested we reach out to Pawsitive. Right away, we were so impressed by Jen's confidence and reassurance. She and all the trainers at Pawsitive not only helped empower us to be the people our dog needed but they fundamentally changed how we viewed our relationship with our dog for the better. The skills we learned at Pawsitive have made us kinder, more patient, more fun-loving, and more relaxed dog owners and also helped our dog gain skills and confidence. So many people remark on how beautifully trained our dog is, and she is a favorite at the vet for her calmness and adaptability :). We feel like we owe so much to Jen, Francis, and the other trainers and truly feel like they will always be a part of our family! The photo below is of our dog grinning ear to ear after her most favorite thing in the world: a class at Pawsitive!

She's taken time and used excellent training techniques to gain trust, and allow our dog to get exercise, enjoy outdoor time, and actually socialize in a safe, positive way. This, in combination with regular training, have made a significant improvement in his quality of life and tolerance of other people and other dogs. We cannot recommend them enough, especially if you have a dog who had issues with reactivity or anxiety. They are amazing!

Brookside Walk + Train
3385 Washington St, BostonMy pup Titan loves his time at Brookside! Before he went through his training at Brookside he was so anxious on his walks. And his reactivity made it difficult for me to manage him on the leash. After his time with Dinyee, he is like a different dog on his walks. He is so much more confident. And I can finally enjoy talking him on walks. He adores his trainers Dinyee and Ruby! I would highly recommend Brookside for any pups but particularly for those that struggle with reactivity.

Boston K9 Concierge
202 K St, BostonVivian is amazing! We worked with her intensively a few years ago, when our dog was a puppy, and it was a very formative experience for us. As owners, it enabled us to better understand that training is a partnership between us and our dog, not a dominant-submissive relationship. Vivian brings empathy (for humans and animals!) to her approach, and she taught us to pick up on and respond to cues that our dog was giving to us, so that we were better able to help him grow, learn, and develop in a healthy way. We recently reached out again for a bit of support handling a new behavioral challenge, and she generously offered us her time and guidance to help identify and address the exhibited behavior. If you are looking for a fear-free and pain-free training approach, and if you are eager to truly learn more about how your dog thinks, feels, and understands the world, Vivian is the best of the best.

Ma Maison
272 Cambridge St, BostonWhen visiting a French restaurant expectations are high. The food tends to be exquisite and some dishes are here. The Foie Gras is amazing and so are all the deserts we tried. However the escargot which is something I always try at French restaurants was only ok.The service varies on who your server is as we had friends who came to the restaurant after we sat and we ordered before they even got their menus and yet they had their appetizers first. When looking for someone to call for a refill and even when we wanted the menus for desert, it is very difficult to catch anyone looking at your table as if each waiter will only look at their own table only. On the bright side they brought us water as soon as we sat and refilled it often. That is how I would get someone's attention...finish my water so someone could come by and I could ask for something. The place is very small and you will have to be a party of two and be lucky to get a table without a reservation, which is what happened with our friends..who came in a little after we sat and were hoping they could sit with us, but with such little space it seemed unlikely they would even be able to get a table but as they were asking a table for two was leaving. Its rather on the expensive side which can be understood with the quality of some of the dishes, however I would except everything to be great for these prices. Its a good place with potential to be great.
