People (including show folks!) always ask where he gets groomed! Regardless of season, Zuko always comes out clean, soft, and fluffy - and I appreciate the quality of the products that Pawsh carries. Between the products and Magdalena’s drying skills, Zuko’s grooms hold shape and look good for weeks. We keep coming in monthly because of her artistry.
Pawsh as a store is fantastic too. Lots of good treats, chews, and accessories. Super friendly staff and lovely owners. I swear Zuko loves the attention from the people more than he loves the treats!

I have very low expectations for any chews labeled “long lasting”, but i saw the summit chews at the sowa vintage market today and figured it was worth a shot .
We’ve been home for almost an hour and they’ve barely made a dent.

In the past, I was taking Cleo to a place where dogs were also groomed in a separate section. I had no idea there was a spa where only cats were groomed. Your cat-heaven lobby was such a beautiful welcome!
Due to the pandemic, Clee hadn’t been professionally groomed in a while and needed the works! Cynthia assessed her and assured me she could remove her mats and take care of everything she needed. When I got the call to pick up Clee I was thrilled that she was ready in such a timely fashion. Cynthia and her partner took great care of Clee giving her full-service grooming and de-matting. She looked reborn with her super soft fur trimmed and smelled so good. What a pleasant experience!
Anytime I took Clee to be groomed in the past she was a bit mad; ignoring me when we got home. I had a pleasant surprise this time when Clee climbed on my lap purring and hanging out for a while. I felt she was thanking me for finding Cynthia!
We kicked off 2023 with our second visit to see Cynthia and her partner who greeted us with a warm smile. It's such a relief to have found you. I can’t thank you guys enough for the wonderful services you provide for the cat community.

From the moment we walked in, the experience was excellent. The staff was welcoming, professional, and clearly care about the dogs they work with. They made everything simple and stress-free.
Most importantly, my dog Mello was completely relaxed the entire time. That says everything. He came home calm, happy, and smelling like a teddy bear 🧸. As a dog owner, knowing your dog feels safe and comfortable is priceless.
This was truly a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend Dewberry Dog Spa!

Every vet - Dr. Levine, Dr. Marks, and Carter - we’ve seen has been incredibly knowledgeable and great. This practice does not push unnecessary tests or treatments. The docs will walk me through their thought process and always present options, walking me through decisions in a way that feels collaborative and supportive. They’ve helped us through everything from smaller issues like fleas and post-flea dermatitis to much more serious diagnoses like mast cell tumor and Cushing’s disease. The wait for appointments, diagnostic testing, and surgery is not long. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me find the most cost-effective ways to get my dog a particularly expensive medication. Through it all, I’ve felt confident that my dogs were receiving excellent evidence-based care.
Most importantly, when my dogs walk in, everyone knows them and is genuinely excited to see them. That kind of warmth and familiarity means so much.
The only real downside is parking — it can be a bit tricky in JP— but it’s absolutely worth it for the quality of care.
We will truly miss JP Animal Clinic!

Our 4 lb yorkie was attacked by much larger dog and Dr. Shelby and her team clearly explained what they recommended for treatment, how they would execute the treatment, the cost of the treatment, and let us stay with our pup through all of it. I would recommend anyone in the area to take their pet here in case of emergency.

My vet was closed and it was a Sunday and I couldn’t find an open vet anywhere. I had an appointment on Tuesday with my regular vet but was nervous my doggie couldn’t wait that long. The Doctor guided me in what to look for if my Sailors issue was getting worse and gave me some home remedies that really helped! Within 24 hours she was looking so much better. This is an amazing service! I highly recommend it.

We've used them for over a year now for dog walks and they are amazing with communication, scheduling, and providing updates and summaries of walks. Any time I had a last-minute question or schedule change, they were super responsive. Our dog is also reactive, and they were great about introducing new walkers to him so that he was comfortable and working with him on his walks.
We also used them for dog and cat sitting, and felt so comfortable knowing our animals were being well-cared by the Paws Team in our absence. Moving away, so we're sad to no longer be working with them!

Jen and the team are great. She's awesome at proactive communication and the team she hires and the walkers we've had over the years have all been great. The one time I felt there was someone my dog was not vibing with, I brought it up to her and she took it very seriously and it was resolved by the very next walk. My dog is my baby and she can be a stubborn princess (and is a frenchie so I worry with her in the heat sometimes) but she is always so well taken care of my WGO :)

Harbor Hounds

They welcomed our Berner when he was a crazy puppy, and it is all credit to them that he plays so well and so safely with all different types of dogs. They provide exceptional care for their daycare dogs and prioritize safety in all aspects.
Bruski became a better listener and better furrend because of Harbor Hounds.
The icing on the cake is that their grooming services are amazing as well - Berners are difficult to cut and take forever to blow-dry and they have been the best (and the fastest) we've ever gone to.
The most difficult part of our move to the south shore will be having to say goodbye to Harbor Hounds!

Brookside Walk + Train

Brookside is one of those rare businesses that actually takes the time to really get to know you (as an individual) and your dog. Dinyee is such a gem of a human and has truly helped change my life and my dog's life for the better.
I took my rescue puppy to Brookside last year, as Coco was very fearful of and reactive towards people and other dogs. I was desperate for help and needed a lot of guidance, as I was raising this puppy by myself.
Over the course of the next 12 months, Dinyee took the time (even after business hours at times) to thoroughly understand my personal relationship with my dog and really figure out where behavioral issues were stemming from.
Dinyee gives it to you straight and doesn't sugar-coat anything, which is exactly what I needed in order to improve my relationship and follow through with Coco. I honestly don't know what I would've done without Brookside and their incredibly knowledgeable and kind team.
My relationship with Coco is so much fuller and more enjoyable now, and Coco seems much calmer and happier. Thank you so much, Brookside!

She and all the trainers at Pawsitive not only helped empower us to be the people our dog needed but they fundamentally changed how we viewed our relationship with our dog for the better. The skills we learned at Pawsitive have made us kinder, more patient, more fun-loving, and more relaxed dog owners and also helped our dog gain skills and confidence. So many people remark on how beautifully trained our dog is, and she is a favorite at the vet for her calmness and adaptability :). The best part of the experience was the staff. They were very busy but still friendly and smiling. The man who took my order was very, very kind and made my day.

10 Chandler Street, BostonA year ago, I got my first cat from ARL - they were so good about pairing me with a cat that they thought would be good for a first time cat owner, and my kitty has been perfect. We recently went back to get a second kitty, and the experience was absolutely phenomenal.
They were not shy about telling me what cats they thought may not do well with my resident cat, they were patient with me as I wanted to meet all the cats, they answered the one million questions I had about introducing a new cat into a home with a resident cat. When we found a cat we were interested in, they let me bring some of his stuff home overnight to show to our resident cat to make sure she didn’t react badly before moving forward with the adoption. They even brought out a kitty from another area of the shelter to introduce to the cat we were looking to adopt to make sure he was chill with other cats.
It was hands down the most amazing customer service experience ever, everyone there was so nice & so instrumental in me feeling confident in my decision to adopt a second cat. Needless to say, we got him & he and my resident girl are besties.
