The United States Postal Service (USPS) at 207 Washington St is a vital organization that delivers mail and packages to over 157 million addresses across the U.S., its territories, and military bases worldwide. It handles a significant portion of global mail, managing over 30,000 retail locations and continuously working to improve customer service. Customers generally find the staff courteous, helpful, and efficient, especially those who visit regularly and appreciate the staff’s patience and dedication, even when working alone for extended hours. The post office offers clear signage to guide customers, especially regarding line procedures and where to stand, which helps streamline the process. However, some customers have expressed frustration with certain experiences. A few mention encountering staff who were less friendly or seemed to have off days, leading to negative impressions. Others have noted issues with wait times, especially after 4 p.m. when only one clerk is available, advising customers to arrive earlier or go elsewhere if they wish to avoid delays. There have also been misunderstandings about procedures, such as labeling requirements or the availability of tape, with some customers mistakenly believing clerks failed to assist them when, in fact, proper protocols were followed. Despite these occasional complaints, the overall sentiment remains that the local USPS is a hardworking and reliable place for mailing needs. The staff’s dedication, especially during busy times, and the organization’s commitment to secure and affordable delivery make it a crucial part of the community’s daily life.
Genuinely one of the best post office experiences I’ve had— I was shipping a blanket internationally and the gentleman at the window took the time to direct me to the forms and made sure I was selecting the right options.

Did not open at scheduled hours (after 8 AM)! I went at 9 am multiple times and it was closed.

Was waiting maybe 8-12 inches in front of the green waiting tape as I had to put my heavy box on a surface to save my back. Lady behind the counter didn't have any of it, and made it her purpose in life to yell at me to step back.
