“Yesterday I tried to make a deposit into my account through the ATM, the machine took the checks, cancelled my transaction kept my checks and gave me a message like sorry contact your bank. Something similar to this had happened to me before at a different bank and it took me months to fix. So you probably could imagine the anxiety I was feeling when this happened again, especially now during a pandemic when most banking services are done through appointment only. I was very lucky yesterday when a young man named Cesar, a Service Associate for Eastern, came out to lobby and assisted me. He couldn’t do much yesterday because I’m sure there are certain procedures involved with the ATM machines when they malfunction that need to be followed, but he did assure me that he would make sure if the ATM did malfunction he would notify the the Associate who deals with it, and they would correct the problem. I’m very happy to report he did just that. Cesar and Associate like him are why I have been a customer Eastern Bank for 26 years, and plan on remaining one. I’m very grateful that he that he was their to help me, and Eastern Bank is lucky to have him as an employee.”

“I gave them **** because they are very nice and they made my airplane loan. They are in the 20th century though. 1. They require a hard copy of an EFT form and cancelled check MAILED 2. They still mail statements. No e-statements. 3. If I send the payments electronically they charge me $1.50/M; if they pull them it's free. Maybe I will have my bank mail a check which is more expensive to process. If it were my company to run, I would take a look at Chase or a local credit union. I am just saying. So for my banking-I went with Chase and a local California FCU. As an airplane lender, I would borrow from them-they made it easy and their rates were very fair. The Plane is for Sale BTW.
