“Friendly workers. Running shoes, clothing, and gear are all high quality.I give 4 instead of 5 stars for two reasons. Mainly, there is no info on the shoes on the wall display. The Boston and Brookline locations list things like the model, stack height, and drop right next to the shoe. Cambridge really needs to do this.Secondly, the 3 shoes initially brought out didn’t match my foot scan at all. It was odd. But I did find a pair of Nikes I liked and was able to order them from Nike directly in the width I need. Note that width options are limited in most running stores. So I don’t fault Marathon sports for not carrying the wide.”
“My wife and I have both purchased nice, quality shoes here, but their real bread and butter is the kids selection. Rather than purchasing cheaper shoes at Walmart, Target or similar that break, get ruined or kid grows out of in a few weeks, we decided to start going to Michelson's when our son started running around outside at daycare all the time and 100% do NOT regret it. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about inventory and the one time our son's shoes have torn in the four years we've been going, they let him exchange for a new pair. Every other pair have last for multiple seasons, and he's outside a LOT. he's also excited to go (and I've noticed other kids are as well) to see their "pet alligator" - who lives in a wall cavity behind the cash register. They knocked it out of the park with that thing.”
“Wonderful shoe store. Great stock. Best, most thoughtful service. The owner, is a gem. He goes out of his way to help you find what you want and what will serve you well. He doesn't rush you and he makes sure the shoe you pick is the right size for you. There aren't many shops like this anymore. Its a pleasure to shop there”

“I had a great experience getting running shoes here! Sophia helped me choose a pair of shoes after I did the technological evaluation scan thing, where you step on the platform and it evaluates your shoe size, pronation level, and where you put pressure on your feet. She was wonderful at listening to what I was looking for, offering options, and explaining the benefits of different brands and styles. I ended up with a pair of Asics and also running socks. If I end up needing a shoe insole, I'll come back here. I would highly recommend this Marathon Sports ?”
“Pretty groovy store. Every pair of Doc Martens you could possibly think of is sold here, even the sandals. They also sell socks, insoles and products to keep your new boots looking shiny.”

“Re-doing my first review, now that I have more time. OMG, I love Cordani shoes. As in absolutely adore. I'm not sure how I heard about the brand, but I am thrilled I did. The shoes are cute, comfortable, Italian-made, and high-quality. I must have at least 7 or 8 pairs now. The retail outlet is next to their offices, and opened limited hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Prices at the outlet are extremely reasonable for such great shoes. Cordani has huge warehouse sales twice a year (June and December),which are super popular. You can usually meet at least one of the owners then, and they are both super friendly. However, if you unfortunately cannot visit Massachusetts, you can buy Cordani at Zappos, Nordstrom, or various shoe boutiques. I'm a Cordani fan for life.”

“Reliable and affordable spot for cute clothes for little ones. The quality is very nice and holds up well enough to be passed down to younger friends or siblings if they've got 'em. I wish there were fewer super-gendered graphic designs, but as things are, everything is brightly colored and appealing and my son loves it (and every once in a while, one of those graphic items will be so adorable that it's heartbreaking to give it up when your kid grows out of it). Even if nothing here otherwise appeals to you, the fleece drawstring pants are the best and warmest thing your kiddo can wear in the winter, and are always worth stocking up on. A lot of other baby clothes shops at a lower price point than this do not have clothes with as nice of a fabric or as sturdy of a seaming as Carter's, and Carter's is not expensive in the first place. So anyway - solid shop, nice and patient customer service, non-annoying traffic nearby. Kind of a no-brainer if you have little ones or are shopping for someone else's.”
