“This is a very nice hardware store, my mom always found them helpful too, but I don't get here often because it's on the other end of town and I have the other town hard ware store right down the street. But I had some errands nearby and took a walk over. Staff were very nice, I asked two/2 different people for help and they brought me over to where I need to look. No pressure, cashier was fast and friendly. Nice variety of merchandise. They are located at a busy intersection, and there is a town parking lot across the street and over a bit, but it's for all the merchants and fills up because of all the nearby restaurants. There is probably some side street parking but to note, some of the streets are quite narrow. #shoplocal #shopindie”

“I went into Richmond Hardware today to find some mechanical bolts and nuts to replace the broken ones on my collapsible camping chair. I was met by the manager/owner(?) who paged an employee to assist me in selecting the proper length and width of the bolts and nuts. Matt examined the broken piece and selected a proper replacement bolt for each of the broken pieces. I thought that I would be spending my afternoon with pliers and a wrench. But to my surprise, Matt attached the bolts and tightened the nuts. I definitely recommend Richmond Hardware for their courteous employees and expert service. Thank you.”

Although their showroom initially appears to be geared to commercial customers, their staff and their knowledge of homeowner concerns are immediately addressed by their friendly staff. From the moment I entered the showroom I got the feeling that regardless of whether you were there to purchase a $5,000 generator or a $250 leaf blower, they treated you professionally and with completeness. Anyone leaving a negative review regarding lack of attentiveness or not handling service issues immediately should reconsider and cut them some slack as they are dealing with "post-COVID" conditions with a lack of skilled labor.
