It began with a phone call. I was searching for a specific wallet that another location had been unable to locate. Fabiana and Santiago were the first to assist me. Fabiana, working behind the scenes, immediately helped initiate the search with professionalism and urgency. Shortly after, Santiago assured me, “They will find it.” And he did.
From that moment forward, the experience was seamless.
Santiago not only secured the piece, but followed through with clarity, consistency, and proactive communication. He confirmed the arrival date and it arrived exactly as promised. His delivery, attention to detail, and steady follow-through never skip a beat. Before leaving for vacation, he personally informed me of an upcoming private client sale and thoughtfully connected me with Store Manager Abby to ensure continuity. That level of care is intentional not accidental.
When I met Abby, it became clear where this culture originates. The team speaks highly of her leadership, and it shows. The store operates with cohesion, professionalism, and pride.

“The department store is pet friendly, and they allow dogs in the store!
One thing that keeps bothering me about the people at the makeup and skin care department on the first floor, and one of the ladies here loves to judge people and that she looks down upon you whenever you shop at her skin care department (La Meir counter) (judging you as if you can’t “afford” their products) while the other one follows you around and comments on everything that you touch.
Other than that everything else is really organized and the displays are really nice and people are professional. It’s just those two people on the first floor in the skin care and makeup department.”

Found a jacket but was indecisive when I told Sam what I was looking for she said a long cardigan would be more in style than the jacket I was looking at. “Okay... I'm going to say this, what has happened to greeting customers and having enough help on the sales floor who can at least say hello. Here's what the store was like today 4 shopping customers, 4 sales associates 2 at the register one ringing and one holding what a appeared to be a send sale or a customer hold. She stood there waiting for #1 to finished that transaction.... looked over at me three times never acknowledging myself or the custmer in line behind me. A siimple hello or "we'll be right with you" One associate came out of nowhere to help at the register...one was tasking . Now the with state of country I would think we would all be a bit cheerful when we have customers in the store.As a former store manager....I would be very disappointed in my staff if I walked out and didn't see customers being helped, greeted and thanked for coming in. Yes tasking is part of the work day I get that...I do and with budget cuts one has to task during business hours but still greeting customers is a must. I greeted custmers there today that have been my customers in past years.Now on a high note the young lady who came out of no where jumpingonto tbe register calling me over, she ordered the jacket that really don't need but loved the color... and she was engaging, I left the store happy that I took the extra 20 minutes to drive over to the mall to touch the new fabrics and gaze at the fabulous spring colors instead of just ordering on line.”

“I had such a wonderful experience today at the Madewell store in Natick Mall! From the manager to every staff member working today, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful.
Shopping with a baby and a double stroller is not always easy, but the team made me feel so comfortable and supported throughout my entire visit. They helped me navigate the store, assisted me with sizing, accommodated me with one of their larger fitting rooms so I could comfortably bring my baby in, and whenever I needed another size, they truly went above and beyond to find it — whether that meant checking the back, looking through displays, or searching the front of the store.
What stood out the most was how genuinely caring and helpful everyone was. They were so patient, attentive, and even sweet with my baby, which meant a lot to me as a mom. My sizing varied between items, and instead of making it stressful, they made the experience easy, positive, and enjoyable.
