When I first rented the car in Boston, the vehicle unfortunately had a very strong and unpleasant smell, similar to smoke or something chemical. It made the driving experience uncomfortable.
However, when I visited the Enterprise location in Hyannis to explain the situation, the team handled everything in an extremely professional and generous way. They immediately apologized for the inconvenience, asked no questions, and promptly replaced the vehicle.
To my surprise, they even upgraded me to a higher category car at the same price. I truly felt well taken care of and respected as a customer.
Their kindness, professionalism, and willingness to resolve the issue quickly made a huge difference. Experiences like this are the reason I continue to trust and choose Enterprise.

“This place here is one of the most friendly and professional businesses I've ever done business with in my adult life, especially considering I'm only 24 years old and have never rented a car until now. Before coming to Enterprise, I was dealing with another rental car company, which, for lack of better terms, was being a real pain in the neck and was giving me a hard time over a miscommunication. Long story short, out of frustration with that experience, I canceled my reservation and felt like my trip was over—until I found Enterprise. My mom had done business with a different Enterprise location in the past, so I didn't know what to expect, especially after my last bad experience with a rental company. I decided to make a last-minute decision days before my trip and reserved my rental with this Enterprise location. Looking back on everything I had to go through to finally book with this location, I have no regrets. I called it a few times before picking up my car, and the staff I spoke with over the phone were always friendly, helpful, and—more importantly—super professional. That professionalism was one of the green flags that encouraged me to proceed with this location. Since I called ahead to ask questions and avoid any confusion on the day of pick up, I am still blown away by how quickly I was able to walk out of Enterprise with a car, and how smooth and painless the process was. The person I worked with during pickup and who answered my questions on the phone was R.J., and I will always remember his name because we share the same name. R.J. was absolutely fantastic—I don't think this 5-star review does him justice. I can't express enough how much I appreciated his courteousness, helpfulness, transparency, and professionalism, which was truly outstanding. I really loved the car that R.J. set me up with and I really hope to drive it again someday, because after this experience, I can definitely say you have gained a new customer and fan of this location. “I visited this Sixt location on 5/16/2026 to pick up a subscription package. I was assisted by Rima, who was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The first car I was given had a strong smoke odor, but she kindly and quickly secured a replacement for me within 15 minutes!
However, I did experience some backend contractual issues that I had to call in to fix. I was mistakenly charged a 'requested car exchange' fee (which was thankfully refunded - about $55). Additionally, my mileage rate was adjusted from $0.22 to $0.30 per additional mile. Customer service refused to change this back, citing the class of the upgraded replacement car, which is a decision I disagreed with.
Despite the billing issues, I have to say that every representative I encountered whether in person, on the phone, or via email was pleasant and helpful.
Based on my experience I would recommend this location. I would typically give a 4/5 stars rating for contract issue but Rima was very thoughtful throughout the pickup experience, which I truly appreciated.
Edited: Truly 5/5 Experience. Sixt added an additional 50 bonus miles for the trouble of the exchange vehicle and mile adjustment.”

“Had a great experience at the Budget in Waltham, MA, on the morning of December 2, 2024. We rented a car in Montreal to drive back to Boston and ended up with a Jeep—not what we expected, and the gas mileage was rough.
When we dropped it off in Waltham, the woman working there (wish I got her name!) was awesome. She explained that since it was an international rental, we’d have to call the 800 number for most issues, but she still went out of her way to see if she could help. She managed to get us a discount to make up for the crazy gas costs, which we really appreciated.
She didn’t promise anything but totally delivered and was so kind and understanding the whole time. A small gesture like that made a big difference. Thanks for the great service!”
