“The workers are very efficient, friendly yet business like. It's a neighborhood bank so they treat u like family. I also appreciate their speed and knowledge or at least know who to ask opposed to sending u on a wild goose chase like the larger banks do where u r just a number not a face. They try their best to accommodate ur needs and explain why with genuine concern why they can't do something or a specific thing isnt offered. “I can remember when it was originally called Tele-Comm bank & located on the corner of Main St & Ferry St (across from the High School) here in Malden, MA. Since then it has changed "ownership", starting with Danvers Bank which then moved to it's current location on the corner of Center St & Commercial St (across from the Malden Center train station).About 5-7 yrs ago (?), People's United bought out Danversbank & it's branches here in Malden. No matter what, the staff whether they were apart of the Tele-Comm or Danvers, have ALWAYS been there for my mother since this was HER bank after we moved from the Malden-Everett line area back in 2000 to where I am now. Sadly my mom passed away earlier this month & last week, I had to close out her bank account.The branch manager & his colleague went above & beyond to help me w/ this heartbreaking task. I will NEVER EVER forget ALL of the different branch managers, tellers, etc that I've come to know since 2000. I greatly appreciate all their help w/ my mother's personal finances as well as just being there w/ a friendly smile (even behind a "mask" these past 2 yrs). Thank you very much People's United for ALL that you've done through out the yrs for her & thank you to Danversbank as well as Tele-Comm too!”

“Due to my bank here in Natick closing their safe deposit boxes I did a little research and listened to friends and received all positive input about Middlesex savings bank, in downtown Natick. Simply a pleasure! From the Branch manager, John King - to and including the young man, "Alex"ander MacLellan who did all the paperwork, legwork and all around "old school" customer service, .. it was the most pleasant and professional experience I've had in a long time. From my initial goal of obtaining a new safe deposit box, Alex explained over and above, without "salesmanship" pushing, all that Middlesex offered, ways I could benefit my specific situation and treated me like family "old school customer service?! To me, possibly the most important ingredient of any business. All of my banking business will be shifted to Middlesex and proudly would recommend them for anyone considering any banking. Quality people who are very well trained, have been with the company for considerable time which said a lot to me. My highest praise; "Compassionate Professionals".”

“Dcu is a very good choice unfortunately I've had fraud happen to me twice now tomorrow morning I need to go to the branch for in person help and I'm confident they will get my money back unlock my card if not give me a new card witch is definitely a hassle but when it comes to getting you repaid on fraud they are great the people in the branch are friendly and kind I'm upset this has happened to me to me but dcu will take care of these issues rather well if I'm being honest skip all phone support after hours or before hours the phone support is the only part of the bank I don't like they are almost 0 help but everything else I've done with dcu is a good experience even in a bad situation”
“Okay, I’m a young millennial and opened my account online. It was easy and seamless. I got my card everything was fine until I had to get a replacement card. You can’t get a replacement card at the branch OR a virtual card, you have to wait till it comes in the mail and I really hope they change this to become more efficient because waiting 5-7 business days for a card is inefficient in modern times. Other than that, the mobile app is great and easy to use. TIP: Link your bank with another bank to transfer money between them if you’re waiting on your card. On the phone customer service is amazing. No comments on the bank tellers.”

“I sent them a big check from my Bank of America account to pay down my Home Equity loan. It took two weeks to get there. By the time it got there, I had been told by my accountant that I needed to pay a large sum to the IRS. They called --personally--when the check arrived and said: "This check is so big and so old we wanted to make sure you still want to deposit it." I said, "No, I gotta send it to the IRS. So you can tear it up." She said: "OK. I"m putting it in the shredder right now." How totally cool is that? What amazing personal service! B of A would never have done such a thing, not even close.”
