“People's United Bank is a first rate institution. The staff, Walter and Angel especially are wonderful people. I experienced some trouble at a few other lending institutions attempting to open an account, due in part to banking mistakes I had made in my early 20s. “FROM DONNA PARKER (on John Parker's email)WCU (Groton office) went through a period where we were unhappy with the service, especially with no one answering the phone!!! FYI/One time, I called the Littleton office asking why wasn't anyone answering calls in the Groton office? (Please note, at that time, I mentioned this fact to someone at the Groton office, when someone finally answered.) Maybe, this was due to the post-COVID chaos that companies were experiencing?Recently, on our last few visits there, it appears that they seem to be 'righting the ship!' And, it is great to see the lobby has been restored to a more modern bank-like atmosphere, now being more inviting and far less claustrophobic.Also, at this time, we want to give a SHOUT OUT to Bethany Schlaich! “I started doing business with Middlesex when I began working in Westford . My two former banks had been swallowed up by large banks and of course service diminished. I have been with Middlesex for decades now and it is refreshing to get a human on the phone when I have an issue. “I’ve been periodically using this branch for over 7 years now because it’s closest to me and I pass by it regularly.
Ive never had any issues with parking, or using the ATM, as others have mentioned.
There are times when it seems like there’s a plethora of staff (almost in excess), and times when it’s the bare minimum. Regardless, at any given time Ive always been treated with respect and courtesy.
Some days the line has been 3-6 people deep, but as of late whenever Ive gone in there haven’t been many people waiting.
Ive never made an appointment to speak to anyone about my accounts, etc so I cannot comment on that.”
