“Updated review: Rocky’s has been my go-to hardware store for years — they've got a surprisingly good selection, competitive prices, and helpful staff members.I recently had a frustrating experience returning some unopened Christmas lights (the online Rocky's policy didn't seem to match what was enforced in the store).Rocky's eventually reached out and fixed the issue for me, which I appreciated. It was a bit aggravating, but these things can happen anywhere and if I had such a problem at one of the big hardware stores, it probably wouldn't have been met with as much concern and attention. “We needed playground wood chips for our back yard. Called Sam White & Sons in Medfield and were able to schedule a delivery within a few days. I ordered 5 yards and that was a bit too much (the guy on the phone estimated 10-14 yards, that would be enough for a whole school playground...)The truck driver was excellent, managed to maneuver the truck thru our driveway (somewhat narrow with overhanging tree limbs) into our back yard. He was professional, kind and friendly.We bought what they call "certified playground wood chips", but I was disappointed because a lot of it is thin sawdust, the fine fibers get into your nose and throat even when the material is wet, you need to wear a mask when spreading it around. I doubt it will last more than a couple of years. My advice is to order the coarse wood chips, I think that's the stuff you see at school playgrounds, larger chips, less fine dust.Overall- they grossly overestimated the quantity we needed, and the material they recommended was not the best for our needs. But still- great service, fair prices, recommended!”

“Picked up a clamp which cost around $2. It seems like there is minimum requirement for credit card (makes sense due to high credit card fees). Checked the car, no cash. They allowed me to take it as I needed the clamp. I will drop the cash later today. Nice guys. You wouldn’t get this level of service in big name stores like home depot”
